自動車用空調装置にあって、吹出モードを制御するために、各吹出モード別に開閉ドアが設けられ、選択された吹出モード別に開閉ドアが開閉制御されている。この開閉ドアには、その周囲にライニングと称されるスポンジ等の多孔質弾性材を貼着して吹出口を構成する空調ケースの当接時にシール性の向上と、打音の低減の効果を得ていた。しかし充分でなく打音がすくなからず聞こえていた。

打音の低減の目的から、ドア本体21の外縁部に円柱状の突起部22を形成し、この突起部22と共にドア本体21をシール部材24で包んでしまい、これにより開閉時にシール部材24で覆われた突起部22が空調ケーシングと衝突することとなり、打音が低減する効果を得ているものもある(特許文献1)。

また、空気調和装置の通気通路を切換えるダンパで、硬質の基板10の外周に沿わせて軟質のシールリップ11を設け、このシールリップ11には、補強用のリブ15が設けられ、基板10側の剛性を高めている構成が示されている(特許文献2)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前記特許文献2では、シールリップ11に補強用のリブ15を持つために変形が防がれ、確実に壁面部分に良好に密着させ、シール性の向上が図られることが記述されているが、開閉ドアの閉時に発生する打音の減少の作用効果は記述されていない。単に薄いシールリップがあることから打音が低くなることが推定されるだけである。

そこで、この発明は、エラストマシール部を有する開閉ドアにあって、エラストマシール部が空調ケースに当接時の打音の発生を極力抑えるようにした構造を持つ開閉ドアを提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
このため、この発明に係る開閉ドアは、空気の流れを制御する開閉ドアにあって、ドア本体の一端面又は周囲にわたってエラストマシール部を配し、このエラストマシール部に凹部を形成したことにある(請求項1)。したがって、エラストマシール部が空調ケースの壁面に当たっても、先端部が該エラストマシール部の基部より凹部を持つことから軟らかく、打音の発生を抑えることができる。また凹部は閉止時に空調ケースとで密閉空間となり、空気がダンパー作用をし、開閉ドアの閉止速度を低下させ、打音を低下させることができる。

また凹部間のピッチの変更や(請求項2)、凹部の寸法を変化させること(請求項3)で、いろいろな打音発生条件の修正に対応させることができる。さらに、エラストマシール部をドア本体と異なりゴム材で製造している(請求項4)。

さらにまた、他の発明は、空気の流れを制御する開閉ドアにあって、ドア本体の一端面又は周囲にわたってエラストマシール部を配し、このエラストマシール部の当接面を除いてドア本体側からエラストマシール部方向へ凹凸を多数連続的に形成したことにある(請求項5)。これにより、凹凸が打音発生条件に対応させることができる。即ち凹凸の数量の適宜な選択により、エラストマシール部の柔軟性を任意に設計変更できる。

以下、この発明の実施の形態を図面にもとづいて説明する。

図1,図2において、この発明に係る開閉ドア1が示され、回転軸2には、薄板状のドア本体3が固着されている。この回転軸2とドア本体3は樹脂製である。このドア本体3の周囲にエラストマシール部5が取付られている。

エラストマシール部5は、ゴムから製造され、基端部6と先端部7とより成り、基端部6には溝8が形成され、前記ドア本体3が前記溝8内に嵌挿されている。前記先端部7は、その当接面7aに凹部10が形成されている。この凹部10は寸法も均一であると共に、凹部10間のピッチは均等となっている。

この凹部10を持つことで、空調ケース11と当接時に凹部10が密閉空間となり、空気がダンパー作用を行って閉止速度を落とし、打音を低減させる効果を有する。また凹部10により肉盗みが出来て軽量化と共に、柔軟性を適宜に設定するのに有利である。このような構造の開閉ドア1は自動車用空調装置の空気吹出口に配され、吹出モードの切換時に適宜に動かされるものである。なお、図示しないが、凹部10を反当接面側に設けるようにしても、ダンパー効果は無くなるが柔軟特性作用を持つことから有用である。

以上のように、この請求項1から4の発明によれば、エラストマシール部に凹部を形成することで、柔軟特性を適宜に選択できることが容易となり、また凹部により閉止時に空気がダンパー効果を持つようになって、閉止速度を遅らせ、打音の発生を抑えることができるものである。さらにまた、請求項5に係る発明によれば、エラストマシール部に多数の凹凸が設けられていることから、柔軟性を持たすことができるし、その凹凸の数の増減にて柔軟特性を変化させることができる。
