本発明は、使い捨て紙おむつ、あるいは生理用ナプキン等の吸収性物品に関し、さらに詳細には、吸収性及び製造コストの面で優れた吸収性物品に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の吸収性物品、例えば図3に斜視図で示すような使い捨て紙おむつ100は、通常、透液性を有するトップシート101と、不透液性を有するバックシート102と、前記シート間に介在する吸収体103とが介在して本体104が形成されている。

なお、この紙おむつ100においては、前身頃Fの腹部位置にフロントターゲットテープ105が、後身頃Bの腰部位置両端に止着用のファスニングテープ106がそれぞれ付設されている。さらに、トップシート101の内面両側の脚回り部には漏れ防止用のギャザー107が設けられており、そして本体104の長手方向中央部には略楕円形状の便溜部108が形成されている。

図4は、図3のX−X断面図で、この紙おむつ100のさらに詳細な層構成を示したものである。図示するようにこの層構成は、表面側、すなわち着用者の身体と接する側より順に不織布等からなる透液性のトップシート101、同様の素材から成るセカンドシート109、ティッシュ110で被覆された吸収体103、ポリエチレン等から成る防水フィルム111、不織布等から成る不透液性のバックシート102となっている。

従来、前記トップシート101には、ポリプロピレン,ポリエチレン,ポリエステル等で親水性処理されている液透過性の乾式不織布が一般に用いられている。

また、前記セカンドシート109には、短繊維の熱融着繊維をエアスルー方式で結合して成る不織布等が用いられている。

しかし、上記従来の吸収性物品、すなわち紙おむつ100では、吸収体103に体液が完全に吸収されるまでの速度が遅く、このため、トップシート101と吸収体103との間で保留された体液が、吸収体103からトップシート101へ逆戻り(wet back)することがあり、着用者にさらっと感を与えないという問題があった。なお、本発明において、さらっと感とは、体液の吸収速度が速く、シートの濡れた部分が保水することなく、さらっとした肌触りになることを意味する。

この問題を解決するために、図4に示すように、多数の長繊維を集積させて成る長繊維不織布の表面に、針葉樹パルプ繊維等からなる紙シート112を積層し、高圧水柱流を施すことにより、パルプ繊維と長繊維とを絡合させて形成した不織布を前記セカンドシート109に用いた吸収性物品が提案されている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、上記従来の吸収性物品では、紙シート112に体液が吸収されたままで、吸収体103に吸収されないことが多く、逆に紙シート112に吸収された体液がトップシート101に逆戻りしてしまうことがあった。このため、着用者に不快感を与え、特に乳幼児の場合は、皮膚がかぶれる原因ともなっていた。また、このような従来の吸収性物品では、材料や工程等により製造コストがアップするという欠点もあった。

そこで、本発明の目的は、上述したような従来技術が有する問題点を解消し、吸収性が一段と優れ、体液がトップシートに保水することなく、また短時間でさらっと感が得られ、かつ低コストで製造できる吸収性物品を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明の上記目的は、下層にセカンドシートを有する透液性のトップシートと、上層に防水フィルムを有する不透液性のバックシートと、前記トップシートと前記バックシート間に介在する吸収体とにより本体が形成された吸収性物品において、前記セカンドシートに長繊維のスパンボンド不織布を使用した吸収性物品を提供することにより達成される。

また、本発明の上記目的は、トップシートに対するセカンドシートの嵩密度の比を1.5以下にした吸収性物品を提供することにより、より効果的に達成される。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を参照しながら、本発明の実施形態を説明する。
図1は本発明に係る吸収性物品の一例であるおねしょ用パッド(以下、「パッド」という。)200を示し、図2は図1の要部である便溜部208の層構成を示すY−Y断面図である。なお、本パッド200は、前述した従来の紙おむつ100における紙シート112をなくし、かつセカンドシート109の構成を変更したもので、その他の構成は実質的に同一なものである。このため、以下、前記従来の紙おむつ100と対応する構成部品には200番台の対応する同一番号を付して説明する。

すなわち、本パッド200は、前記紙おむつ100と同様に、下層にセカンドシート209を有するトップシート201と、上層に防水フィルム211を有するバックシート202と、前記トップシート201と前記バックシート202間に介在するティッシュ210で被覆された吸収体203とにより本体が形成されたものである。

なお、本パッド200には、トップシート201の長手方向両側に漏れ防止用の立体ギャザー207が設けられ、この中央部には略楕円形状の便溜部208が形成されている。

トップシート201には、体液を吸収体203へ透過させる透液性のシートで、肌着に近い感触を有し、きめが細かく繊維密度が高い素材が好ましい。このような透液性シートとして、例えば、織布,不織布,多孔性フィルム等が好ましく用いられる。

セカンドシート209には、トップシート201よりも体液の吸収速度が早く、またトップシート201よりも繊維密度が小さい長繊維のスパンボンド不織布を用いる。このような長繊維のスパンボンド不織布として、例えば、ナイロン,ポリエステル等が好ましく用いられる。

長繊維のスパンボンド不織布は、従来のエアスルー不織布よりも嵩高く、また繊維密度も大きい。従って、セカンドシート209を介して体液が吸収体203へ吸収される吸収速度も上昇し、またセカンドシート209自体の吸収率も向上するので、吸収体全体の吸収率が向上すると共に、ハンドリング性及び生産性も向上する。

また、本パッド200では、長繊維のスパンボンド不織布を用いる一方、従来の紙シート112を省いているので、体液が吸収体203へ迅速に吸収される。このため、トップシート201への体液の逆戻りがなくなり、トップシート201での保水がなくなるので、着用者にさらっと感を与えることができる。さらに、層構成がシンプルとなるため、パッド200自体を低コストで製造することができる。

以上、本発明の内容を、吸収性物品がおねしょ用パッドを例に説明したが、本発明はこのようなおねしょ用パッドに限らず、この他使い捨て紙おむつ、生理用ナプキン、あるいは失禁者用パンツ等の公知の吸収性物品についても適用できることはいうまでもない。

ここで、本発明に係る吸収性物品、すなわち前記パッド200を構成するトップシート201とセカンドシート209の好ましい嵩密度比につき次のような実験を行った。

表1は本パッド200におけるトップシート201とセカンドシート209の数値化された嵩密度の異なる組み合わせを5通り(実施例1〜実施例5)選んで表したものである。表1において、官能評価とは前記さらっと感、具体的には人口尿を吸収体203に滴下し、吸収速度を測定した後、トップシート201の表面に手で軽く触れて、その乾き具合を表したものである。なお判断基準は○印の「乾いている」、×印の「かなり湿っている」の2段階とした。

この結果、表1から明らかなように、さらっと感はトップシート201に対するセカンドシート209の嵩密度の比が1.5以下のときに得られることが判明した。

【発明の効果】
以上に詳述したように、本発明に係る吸収性物品によれば、セカンドシートの吸収性を向上させることができ、またセカンドシートを介して吸収体への体液の吸収速度も上昇させることができるので、トップシートに保水する体液がなくなる。従って、着用者にさらっと感を与える効果を有する。

さらに、セカンドシートに長繊維のスパンボンド不織布を用いたことによりハンドリング性、生産性が良くなり、吸収性物品の製造コストを低減することができる。
