従来、マンションや公団住宅等のベランダで或いは個人住宅の玄関先等で、培地を入れたプランターや植木鉢などの容器を置き、野菜や花卉を栽培することは良く行われているところである。
また、プランターや植木鉢を簡易な形にした可撓性シートの栽培培地収納室も提案されている。例えば特許文献1では2枚の可撓性シートを支持体に支持させてダクトを設け、ダクトに温調気体を供給した栽培ベッドが開示されている。
しかし、この栽培ベッドは多数を連設しやすいように構成されているため、個々には温室を備えていない。この栽培ベッドは農業用ビニールハウス等の大きな温室内に多数設置する目的には好ましいものの、手軽にマンションや個人住宅で使用する目的には不充分であった。

本発明について詳細に述べる。
本発明の組立式菜園室は培地収納室と植物育成室とを一体化したもので、培地収納室は不透水性を有するシート材で構成されており、不透水性を有するシート材で底面及び四側面を形成する。そして、培地収納室は四隅に配されている支柱で支持されて、形状が保持される。

そして、底面及び四側面を形成するシート材は縫製して一体化しても良いが、溶着して一体化すると漏水がなく、製造も容易なので好ましい。そのような観点から、シート材としては合成樹脂製ターポリンやクロスシートが好ましい。
