Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an outer mirror provided near a side door of an automobile, and more particularly to an outer mirror having an auxiliary mirror.

[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the “door mirror with auxiliary mirror” as disclosed in
[0005]
In a conventional door mirror, the auxiliary mirror is mounted on the mirror housing, but the mirror housing is rotatably mounted on a shaft fixed to the mirror base, so that the strength of the mirror housing and the shaft is not so strong. Rather, when a heavy and bulky auxiliary mirror is attached to the mirror housing, chatter vibrations may occur, which may hinder the field of view of the mirror when the vehicle is running, or may cause abnormal noise and impair comfort. In short, the conventional door mirror has a problem that a heavy and bulky auxiliary mirror cannot be attached.
[0006]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide an outer mirror in which an auxiliary mirror can be mounted on an upper side of a mirror housing and a heavy and bulky auxiliary mirror can be mounted.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problem, an outer mirror according to
[0008]
According to the outer mirror configured as described above, since the mirror housing is suspended below the mirror base, the auxiliary mirror can be mounted above the mirror base. Therefore, the auxiliary mirror can be installed above the regular mirror attached to the mirror housing, so that the driver can easily see the auxiliary mirror.
[0009]
In addition, since the auxiliary mirror is provided on the mirror base, a driver (assistant) on the passenger seat can see the auxiliary mirror on the driver's seat side, so that the assistant can use the auxiliary mirror on the driver's seat side. Will be possible. Similarly, since the driver can see the auxiliary mirror on the passenger seat side, the driver can use the auxiliary mirror on the passenger seat side.
[0010]
In addition, since the structure in which the auxiliary mirror is attached to the mirror base eliminates the need to consider the strength of the mirror housing and the shaft, the auxiliary mirror is of a type that is heavier and bulkier than the case where the auxiliary mirror is attached to the conventional mirror housing. It becomes possible to attach a mirror. In addition, chatter vibration is generated, and there is no danger that the visibility of the mirror may be hindered during traveling of the vehicle, or that noise may be generated to impair comfort.
[0011]
Furthermore, the structure in which the auxiliary mirror is mounted on the mirror base allows the auxiliary mirror to rotate together with the mirror housing even when the mirror housing is rotated and stored, as in the case where the auxiliary mirror is mounted on the conventional mirror housing. Since the mirror is not moved and stored, the auxiliary mirror can be used even when the mirror housing is stored.
[0012]
Further, the number of auxiliary mirrors provided on the outer mirror is not limited to one, and a plurality of auxiliary mirrors may be provided as needed. Thus, for example, when two auxiliary mirrors are arranged in parallel or in a column, one auxiliary mirror is used as an auxiliary mirror for a driver, and the other auxiliary mirror is used as an auxiliary mirror for an assistant. This allows both the driver and the assistant to use the auxiliary mirror on the same side of the vehicle. It is also possible to use both auxiliary mirrors for the driver or assistant.
[0013]
Further, if the angle of the auxiliary mirror is configured to be adjustable, the angle of the auxiliary mirror can be appropriately set according to the purpose of use, which is convenient.
