Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image diagnosis support apparatus that determines the suitability of a medical image for detecting a lesion candidate shadow.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The detection of a lesion candidate shadow is performed by inputting a medical image (an image captured by a medical image diagnostic apparatus such as a CT apparatus or an MRI apparatus) to a lesion candidate shadow detection apparatus, as described in Patent Document 1 below. At this time, in the related art, the operator of the lesion candidate shadow detection device selects a medical image and inputs the medical image to the lesion candidate detection device.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
International Publication No. WO 02/02002
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described conventional technology, since the medical image input to the lesion candidate shadow detection device is based on the selection of the operator, an image that does not match the lesion candidate shadow detection device due to an operation error is selected and input. As a result, the detection of a lesion candidate shadow may not be performed properly. For example, when performing image processing for automatically detecting a lesion candidate shadow from a tomographic image (CT image) including the entire lung field, if a tomographic image of a type different from the inspection target is selected and input, an appropriate There is a problem in that image processing cannot be performed and useless processing time is consumed.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and inputs only a medical image that matches detection of a target lesion candidate shadow as a detection target, and performs image diagnosis support in which detection of a lesion candidate shadow is performed quickly and appropriately. It is intended to provide a device.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, an image diagnosis support apparatus according to the present invention according to claim 1, wherein input means for inputting a medical image, and the medical image input by the input means is adapted for detection of a lesion candidate shadow Determining means for determining whether or not the input medical image is based on at least one of the information related to the input medical image and the analysis result of the input medical image; A lesion candidate shadow detecting means for detecting a lesion candidate shadow for a medical image based on detection of a lesion candidate shadow, and a display for displaying the lesion candidate shadow detected by the lesion candidate shadow means in the medical image in a distinguishable manner. Means.
[0007]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the medical image is input by the input unit. The medical image is an image captured by a medical image diagnostic apparatus such as a CT apparatus, an MRI apparatus, and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. Whether the input medical image is a medical image suitable for detection of a lesion candidate shadow based on at least one of information related to the medical image and an analysis result of the input medical image by the determination unit It is determined whether or not.
[0008]
The information related to the medical image includes the image file name of the medical image, the presence / absence of a header portion of the image file, the imaging device and the imaging time included in the header portion, the patient name, and the like. The determination of the medical image can be made based on whether or not the medical image matches.
[0009]
Further, in the analysis of the medical image, the region where the image is the target of the lesion candidate shadow detection is determined based on whether or not the area of the region having the maximum number of pixels in the input medical image is within a preset range. There is a method of determining whether or not the image includes the image.
[0010]
By using the method as described above, the determination unit determines whether or not the input medical image is a medical image that is suitable for detecting the target lesion candidate shadow. Can be excluded from the processing target, and the focus candidate shadow detection means detects a focus candidate shadow only for an appropriate medical image. Then, the detected lesion candidate shadow is identifiably displayed in the medical image. This means is described in detail in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Publication No. HEI 10-163, and the description thereof is omitted here.
[0011]
In this manner, whether or not the input medical image is suitable for the detection of the target lesion candidate shadow is determined based on the information related to the input medical image and the analysis result of the input medical image. Since the determination is made based on at least one, only medical images that match the detection of the target lesion candidate shadow can be input as detection targets, and processing can be performed quickly and appropriately.
[0012]
The determining means may further include a detection result determining means for determining whether a detection result by the lesion candidate shadow detecting means is normal.
[0013]
The detection result of the lesion candidate shadow includes the number and size of the lesions, and these factors have a certain tendency depending on the type and site of the organ from which the image was captured, the patient to be captured, and the like.
[0014]
Therefore, the determination as to whether or not the focus detection result is normal can be made by comparing the detection result of the focus candidate shadow with a predetermined reference in consideration of the above tendency.
[0015]
As described above, by judging whether or not the detection result is normal, an abnormal detection result of a lesion candidate shadow due to an incorrect image or the like can be excluded, and only a correct detection result can be obtained.
[0016]
