【従来の技術】
普通の箸は、箸が保持されるための断面４角形または円形の端部と食べ物が掴まれたり持ち上げられたりするための断面円形の端部とを備えている。これらの箸は或る一定サイズの食べ物を挟んだり、持ち上げたりするには充分間に合う。しかしながら、大きめの魚、家禽、肉または野菜を食するには、現在の一般的な箸は扱いにくい。

ＦＲ−２６９８７７２（特許文献１）で知られているステイックは伸長ボデイを備え、その第２端部はねじ切りにより作られている。第２端部は選択的にナイフのような刃物類セットの一部であったり、または上述のような食べ物を掴むための箸端部である。しかしながら、このような公知のステイックの使用には時間の無駄がありかつ非現実的であり、その理由はナイフは食べ物を掴みかつ取り上げるのに適しておらず、従って食べ物がカットされた後にナイフを箸に取りかえる必要が生ずるからである。またナイフの使用は永年にわたり箸で食してきて得た技術を有するユーザーのプライドを傷つけるものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この目的のもとに、本発明による箸は、第２端部がギザギザ部（刻み目）を備えていることを特徴としている。ギザギザ部の使用により大サイズの食べ物はより小さくされることができ、従ってより小さい食べ物片は掴まれまたは持ち上げられかつ箸を用いて普通の方法で食され得る。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明による箸は食べ物片を掴み、持ち上げかつ口へ運ぶために普通の方法で取り扱われる（図１参照）。この箸は、箸が保持されるてめの第１端部２と食べ物片が個々に掴まれたり持ち上げられたりするための第２端部３とを有する伸長ボデイ１を備えている。第１端部２および第２端部３はボデイ１上で互いに不可分に連結されている。この第２端部３はギザギザ部４を備えている。このギザギザ部４は例えば第２端部３に固着されたギザギザエッジ付きの部品により形成されるか（図２）または第２端部３のそれ自体がギザギザ付き部品として具体化され得る（図３）。即ち、ギザギザ部４は伸長ボデイ１に対して不可分に連結されている。
