しかしながら、特許文献1記載のものにあっては、誘引灯と誘因剤により飛翔性昆虫を引き寄せ、高電圧により、捕虫・殺虫できるものの、飛行している昆虫を直接狙って迅速に捕獲できないし、また、特許文献2記載のものにあっては、飛行している昆虫を直接狙って殺虫剤を噴霧して捕獲することはできても、周囲に殺虫剤が飛散するため、例えば、周囲に食品がある場合、該食品を避けて噴霧しなければならず、殺虫剤を噴霧する場所に制約を受けてしまうという問題点があった。
本発明者は、飛翔性昆虫の羽根は雨水等の水に対しては弾くが、エチルアルコ−ルに対しては弾くことができず、エチルアルコ−ルで濡れた重みのため、飛翔性昆虫の飛行が妨げられ、容易に飛翔性昆虫を捕獲することができることを見出して本発明に至ったものである。
