本発明は複数種類の規格の送り歯を選択的に設けて使用するミシンの送り装置に関わるものである。

【従来の技術】
まず、第3図は一対の水平釜を備える一般的な二本針本縫いミシンの構成を説明する説明図である。ここで、16は一対のミシン針でありミシン機枠に支持された不図示の針棒により送り方向に向かって略直交して対をなして保持され、ミシンの駆動と共に該ミシン針16下方に配設され17に示す一対の釜と協働して縫製物に縫目を形成する。なお、20はミシンベッドであり説明の便宜上、図2中では針板と共に一部の構成は省略して描写している。また、前記一対のミシン針16を中心にして送り方向に向かって左右に略対称に各構成が配置されており、同一の作用をする構成については左右の別なく同一の符号を付す。

ここで、釜17は外釜17b,突起部17aを有した中釜17A(不図示)およびボビン17cとからなる。また、左右両釜17,17の間には後述する送り台121および送り歯100からなる送り装置が配設されている。この送り歯100は多くの二本針本縫いミシンの糸切り装置を備えない通常の仕様において共通して用いられる所定の規格を有した市販ゲージ(標準品)であり、上端に形成され布と接離して布を送る歯部100dおよび該歯部を支持する固定部100cとからなる。該送り歯固定部100cの下面を送り台121の送り歯取付部121cに取付ネジ100aにより固定している。このとき、前記送り歯100の歯部100dを針板21と所定の高さ関係に配置し送り台121の送り運動時には歯部100dが針板21の上面に出没するようにした際に、送り歯固定部100cは針板21に近接した高さに形成されている。そして、これらの協働により、ミシンベッド20上の布を送ると共に図示しない上糸Tおよび下糸Tを交絡させて縫製を行なう。尚、前記送り台121は後述する駆動手段に固定される基部121aと、市販ゲージとしての送り歯100の送り歯固定部100c下端を着脱可能に装着される送り歯取付部121cとからなる。このとき、該送り歯取付部121cに該送り歯100を装着し、さらに前記送り歯100の歯部100dを針板21と前述の所定の高さ関係に配置した際には、該送り歯固定部100cおよび送り歯取付部121cとが針板21に近接する高さに配置するように形成されている。

次いで、図4、5は同ミシンの送り装置を説明する説明図であり、説明の便宜上、それぞれに構成の一部を省略している。ここで、図4は図3のY−Y線の矢符により指示される側の平面視説明図であり、図5は同Y−Y線における断面を矢符方向に見た説明図である。該図4、5において、15は不図示のミシン機枠に固定された釜台、21は上面をミシンベッド20と略一致させた針板である。さらに、21aは前記針板下面に対をなして突設され、その中間に中釜突起部17aを遊挿して中釜の回転を防止する中釜回り止めである。ここで、送り台121の基台121aは、駆動手段としての水平送り装置13による水平方向の揺動運動、および上下送り装置14による上下方向の揺動運動、との合成によりだ円軌跡をした送り運動を行なう。前記送り台基台121aの送り運動により送り台121に固定された市販ゲージである送り歯100は、針板21上面への送り歯100の歯部100dの出没と、送り方向への往復運動と、を繰り返し縫製物の送りを行なう。尚、該水平送り装置13による水平方向の揺動運動は、ミシン機枠に回転可能に支持される水平送り軸13sの回動揺動運動により水平送り腕13aおよび水平送りピン13bを介して伝達される水平送り装置13の図中両矢印B方向の揺動運動であり、また、上下送り装置14による上下方向の揺動運動は、ミシン機枠に回転可能に支持される上下送り軸(釜駆動軸を兼ねる)14sの回転を上下送り偏心カム14a,上下送りリンク14bおよび上下送り連結ピン14cを介して伝達され上下送り装置14の図中両矢印C方向の揺動運動である。

この送り装置において、縫製の条件やミシン自体の仕様の変更等に応じて異なる規格の送り歯を取り付ける必要が生じることがある。例えば、糸切り機構18(詳細は後述)の搭載の有無による場合などである。その場合、糸切り機構18にも多様なものが考えられるが多くの種類の糸切り装置は図6(a)に示すように釜17と送り歯101の中間で且つ送り歯101の歯部101dに近接した位置を動メス18aが通過し所定の糸T,Tを捕捉、切断を実行する。ここでは、動メス18aの運動軌跡を避けるように送り歯101の歯部101dの歯厚dは図6(b)に示すような市販ゲージの送り歯100の歯部100dの歯厚Dよりも薄く形成されている。ここで、市販ゲージでは歯厚は2.6mmとされており、例えば、D:d=2.6:2.4(mm)のようになる。このように市販ゲージとは別の規格で製造された送り歯は各ミシンの糸切り装置の構成や動メスの動作軌跡等によっても多種多様になっており、ミシン製造者ごとに異なった規格により製造されていると言ってよい。

尚、図6(a)(b)に示すように糸切り装置18の有無などの理由により送り歯の歯部101d、100dの歯厚d、Dが異なっている場合があるが、縫いの仕上がりについては歯厚が厚い方の送り歯100(d<D)による縫製の方が縫目の質が高くなるのである。それは、図6に示すように釜が上糸Tを捕捉し下糸Tとを結節する過程において送り歯歯部101d、100dに形成される針穴101b、100bの下端縁から導出する上糸Tが中釜回り止め21aと当接する箇所において、送り歯の歯部の歯厚が薄い場合の方d(図6(a))では針穴101b下端の糸が導出する縁から中釜回り止め21aの先端までの高さの差が大きく、急な(小さい)角度で上糸Tが屈曲して該当接点に生じる抵抗により安定した好適な糸張力を得られず美しい縫目の形成を阻害する。一方、送り歯歯部の歯厚が厚い方D(図6(b))では針穴100b下端の糸が導出する縁から中釜回り止め21aの先端までの高さの差が小さく、比較的大きな角度で上糸Tが中釜回り止め21aに当接しており、縫目の形成を阻害する抵抗が生じ難い構成となっている。このことから、糸切り装置を備えた場合には歯厚の薄い送り歯101を取り付け、糸切り装置を搭載しない場合には歯厚の厚い送り歯を取り付けることが望ましい。さらには、図6(b)に示したように歯厚の厚い送り歯として市販ゲージの送り歯100を用いる方が、既製の規格の送り歯であり流通量も多いためコストを低く抑えることができてより好ましい。

さて、上述のように糸切り装置の有無により選択的に異なる規格の送り歯100、101を送り台121の送り歯取付部121cに設けて使用する場合、送り歯100、101の歯部100d、101dから送り歯固定部100c、101cまでの上下方向の間隔(高さ)の違いにより、針板に対する歯部100d、101dの位置が異なってくることがある。しかしながら、縫製においては送り歯の歯部100d、101dの針板21上面への出没量(高さ)は縫製の出来を大きく左右する要素となっており、縫製条件に合致した所定の高さである必要がある。そこで、略だ円状の軌跡で運動する送り歯の揺動位置自体を上下方向に調整する手段が必要とされる。従来は、例えば図5に示すように上下送り装置14の上下送りリンク14bと送り台基台121aを連結する上下送り連結ピン14cを偏心ピンとし、該上下送り連結ピン14cを上下送りリンク14bに連結ピン固定ネジ14dにより固定する際の上下送り連結ピン14cの上下への偏心方向を調整することにより送り歯100の揺動位置を上下方向に移動し調整していた。(例えば、特許文献1参照。)
しかしながら、糸切り装置の機能および性能の向上に伴い、その構成が増えたりあるいは大きくなるようになってきた。図7、8は二本針本縫いミシンに糸切り装置18を設けた場合の説明図である。この糸切り装置18は、不図示の駆動手段により動メス駆動軸18gおよび該動メス駆動軸18gに固定された動メス駆動腕18fを図7中両矢印R方向に回動し、該動メス駆動腕18fの切り欠き部に摺動可能に挿通された動メス駆動ピン18eに作用する。該動メス駆動ピン18eは動メス18aを固定した動メス固定台18cに固定されており、前記動メス駆動腕18fの作用を該動メス固定台18cに伝達する。該動メス駆動ピン18eを介して伝えられた前記動メス駆動軸18gおよび動メス駆動腕18fからの駆動力により動メス固定台ガイド18hに沿って前記動メス固定台18cと共に前記動メス18aを図7、8中両矢印A方向に進退させる。ここで図7、8中右方に前進した動メス18aは釜17と送り歯102の歯部102dに形成される針穴102bとの間において切断する糸を捕捉した後、図7、8中左方へ後退し固定メス18bとの協働により捕捉した糸を切断する。さらに、切断後の下糸Tの糸端を保持するための下糸保持体18dが動メス18a下方に設けられている。

このような糸切り装置18を設けると、図8に示されるように糸切り装置18の構成、ここでは固定メス18b、動メス18a、下糸保持体18dが、図5で示した市販ゲージの送り歯100を取り付ける際に送り歯取付部121cおよび送り歯固定部100cが位置する空間にせり出した構成となっている。そこで、図8における送り台120はそれらの糸切り装置18の各構成を避けるように送り歯取付部120cを針板21から離隔した低い位置に形成されるような構成とすると共に、糸切り装置具備時の歯厚の薄い送り歯であって送り歯歯部から送り歯固定部までの上下方向の間隔(高さ)が比較的大きい送り歯102を固定する。このように送り台120の送り歯取付部120cと送り歯102の送り歯固定部102cとを固着する位置を針板21から下方に離隔した低い位置としたことにより、送り装置が送り運動を行なっても送り装置の各構成と糸切り装置18の各構成がお互いに干渉しないようにしていた。

このような場合には文献公知発明としては該当するものはないが、送り台を糸切り装置を備えた仕様用120、糸切り装置を備えない仕様用121とで、別個に製造し、そのミシンの仕様によって異なる送り台120、121をそれぞれ組み付けると言う方法が採られていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、糸切り装置の有無により異なる送り歯の規格毎に別個に送り台を用意する従来の方法においては、送り台と言うミシンにおいて主要な部品を規格の異なる送り歯の数だけ新たに部品を起こさなければならず、製造コストが高くなってしまっていた。さらに、別の規格の送り歯に交換する際に、いちいちミシンから送り台を取り外して交換しなければならず、特に釜機構、送り装置周辺の空間的制限の強い二本針ミシンにおいては大変煩わしい作業となってしまっていた。

これらの問題点を鑑み、本発明は、糸切り装置の有無などのミシンあるいは送り歯の仕様の差違に関わらず共通する送り台を使用し、複数種類の送り台を起こす必要がなく送り歯の揺動位置の大きな変更にも容易に対応可能であるミシンの送り装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するために、請求項1に記載のミシンの送り装置は、ミシンの針板下方において送り運動を行なうと共に上部に送り歯取付部を形成した送り台と、上端に第1歯部を形成すると共に下部に前記送り歯取付部へ固定される第1固定部を形成し、該第1固定部を前記送り歯取付部に固定した際に前記送り台の送り運動に従って第1歯部が針板上面から出没可能とする前記第1固定部と第1歯部との間の上下方向の間隔を有した第1の送り歯と、上端に第2歯部を形成すると共に下部に前記送り歯取付部へ固定される第2固定部を形成し、該第2固定部を前記送り歯取付部に固定した際に前記送り台の送り運動に従って第2歯部が針板上面より下方で揺動する前記第2固定部と第2歯部との間の上下方向の間隔を有した第2の送り歯と、を有し、第1または第2の送り歯を選択的に設けて使用するミシンの送り装置であって、前記送り台の送り歯取付部と前記第2の送り歯の第2固定部との間に配置され、第2の送り歯を送り歯取付部に固定し送り台が送り運動を行なった際に前記第2歯部が針板上面から出没可能とする高さを有した取付具を備えたことを特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面に基づいて本発明の実施の形態を説明する。

まず、図1、2は本発明の一実施例を示す説明図であり、図1は本発明の送り装置の各構成の説明図で、図2は本発明の送り装置のミシンベッドおよび針板との配置関係などを説明する図3におけるY―Y線から矢符方向に見た断面図に相当する図である。尚、ここで、従来と同一の構成については同じ符号を付し詳細な説明は省略する。

図1において、送り台120は糸切り装置18の構成および動作軌跡を避け針板から下方へ離隔した位置に送り歯取付部120cを形成した図8に示す糸切り装置18を備えた仕様のミシンに取り付けていた送り台120と同じものであり、水平送り装置13および上下送り装置14に示される駆動手段によりミシンベッド20および針板21の下方で略だ円軌跡に揺動する送り運動を繰り返す。そして、この送り台120を糸切り装置18を有さない仕様のミシンに取り付けた様子を示したのが図2であり、ここでは糸切り装置18を備えない仕様なので第2の送り歯としての歯厚の厚い市販ゲージの送り歯100を用いている。該送り歯100は送り歯取付具11を介して所定の姿勢で送り台120の送り歯取付部120cに固定されている。尚、第1の送り歯としては、この送り台120の送り歯取付部120cに送り歯固定体を固定して、その歯部が針板21と所定の高さ関係となる図7、8に示した送り歯102が相当し、すなわち第1歯部、第1固定部として歯部102dおよび送り歯固定部102cがそれぞれ相当する。

さらに、該送り歯取付具11は、送り台120の送り歯取付部120cを取付具固定ガイド溝11bに嵌挿し該送り歯取付部120cに該送り歯取付具11下部を固定して送り台120と送り歯取付具11とを所定の姿勢にすると共に、送り歯100の送り歯固定部100cを送り歯固定面11cとしての送り歯取付具上部に設けられた送り歯固定ガイド溝11aに嵌挿し固定して送り歯取付具11と送り歯100とを所定の姿勢にすることにより、送り台120、送り歯取付具11および送り歯100を所望の位置関係とすることができる。すなわち、送り歯100は送り歯取付具11の狭持部11hの高さhにより所定の高さになる一方で、位置決め手段としての取付具固定ガイド溝11bおよび送り歯固定ガイド溝11aとによりミシン機枠に対して所定の姿勢となる。そこで、送り歯取付ネジ100Aを送り歯100、および送り歯取付具11のネジ穴に挿通して該両者を送り台120の送り歯取り付け部120cにネジ止めし固定する。これにより容易に針板21との平行あるいはミシン針16との同心を取ることができる。なお、送り台120の送り歯取付部120cは、上下送り装置14および水平送り装置13とからなる駆動手段に基台120aを組み付けた時点で、ミシン機枠に対して所定の位置・姿勢になるようになっている。

以上のような構成とすることで、共通した一つの送り台で多種の送り歯を選択的に使用することができると共に、送り歯と送り台の間に紙等のシート片などを挟むような方法では対処し得ない調整距離の長い揺動位置の変更を可能にする。また、送り歯固定ガイド溝および取付具固定ガイド溝等の位置決め手段を設けることにより送り歯は細かい調整を必要とせずに送り台と、すなわちミシン機枠と、所定の位置関係を有して固定することができる。

最も有効と考えられる本発明の利用は、上述のように糸切り装置を備えたミシンに対応した送り台を共通して用いる送り台に選択すると共に、該送り台に市販ゲージの送り歯を取り付け可能な送り歯取付具を設けることであり、これにより、新たに送り台や送り歯を起こすことなく、該糸切り装置を備えたミシンに対応した送り台で既製の規格の送り歯(市販ゲージ)とその送り台に対応した特有の規格の送り歯とを共に選択的に用いることができるようになる。

また、送り歯取付ネジ100Aは送り装置の外方へ露出し取り扱いやすい位置に設けることが好ましい。配設位置によっては針板を外すのみでの送り歯の交換(送り歯取付具の送り台への取り付けも含む)も可能とすることが出来る。また、上記実施例では送り歯取付具11を用いて送り歯100を送り台120に適用する際に、送り歯取付ネジ100Aを用い、送り歯取付部120cへ送り歯100および送り歯取付具11を同時に固定する態様を示したが、別の固定ネジを用意し、送り歯取付部120cと送り歯取付具11,送り歯取付具11と送り歯固定部100c、のように各部材間の固定位置でそれぞれに固定するようにしてもよい。

また、上記実施例では糸切り装置18の有無による送り歯の交換についてのみ説明したが、例えば、糸切り装置18を備えたミシンにおいて該糸切り装置18を使用するモードと、糸切り装置18を作動させずに縫目の完成度を重視するモードと、で異なる仕様の送り歯を選択的に取り付けるような場合でもよい。ここで、糸切り装置18を作動させないモードにおいては、糸切り装置の可動部材の可動時軌道上は自由な空間として送り歯取付具を含む送り装置の構成が設けられても良いし、あるいは糸切り装置18の送り装置近傍にせり出した部材を取り外して送り歯取付具を始め送り装置を配設可能な空間を広げるようにしてもよい。例えば、図7、8のような構成の糸切り装置18であれば、固定メス18b、動メス18a、下糸保持部材18d等の部材を取り外せば送り台120の送り歯取付部120c近傍は自由度が高くなり各種仕様の送り歯を取り付け可能になる。

以上のように、本発明によれば、ミシンの仕様に関わらず共通した1種類の送り台を用いることができ、それにより送り歯の交換時に煩わしい送り台の交換作業を行なわなくて済むと共に送り歯の規格の数だけ送り台を作る必要をなくすことができコストと手間の低減をすることができる。

また、送り歯取付具を送り台に固定可能且つ送り歯を固定可能な構成としたことで、送り歯固定体の揺動位置の大きな変更が可能となり、すなわち送り歯歯部上端から送り歯固定体下面までの高さの大きく異なる複数の送り歯を一つの送り台に適用することが可能となる。さらに市販ゲージなどの既製の規格の送り歯も容易に対応させることができ、新たな送り歯を起こす必要を無くすことができ、比較的流通量が多く安価な送り歯を利用することができる。
