VCCI(Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment:情報処理装置等電波障害自主規制協議会)の妨害波電界強度測定法(3m法)に準拠して放射ノイズの測定を行った。
【0033】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an insulated wire in which a conductor is covered with an insulator, a cable in which a shield and a sheath layer are sequentially covered, and in particular, suppresses noise by forming the sheath layer into a two-layer structure including a magnetic powder mixed resin layer. The present invention relates to a noise suppression cable designed to achieve the above.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a measure against electromagnetic wave noise of a cable, a shield layer is formed on the cable. As such a conventional cable, there is a shielded cable 21 as shown in FIG.
[0003]
The shielded cable 21 has a structure in which a first insulating layer 23, a shield layer 24, and a second insulating layer 25 are formed in this order on the outer periphery of a plurality of metal core wires 22. The first insulating layer 23 and the second insulating layer 25 are each made of a material having excellent insulating properties such as a synthetic resin, while the shield layer 24 is made of a metal braid.
[0004]
In the shielded cable 21, by connecting the shield layer 24 to the ground potential, external noise can enter the core wire 22, and electromagnetic radiation noise radiated from the core wire 22 can radiate out of the shielded cable 21. Is prevented.
[0005]
However, in the shielded cable 21, unless the shield layer 24 is securely connected to the reference potential, the above-described noise removing effect cannot be reliably obtained. That is, when the shield layer 24 is not securely connected to the reference potential, there is a problem that EMI noise radiates from the shield layer 24 to the outside. Further, common mode noise may be generated due to the antenna effect of the shield layer 24, and electromagnetic noise may be radiated.
[0006]
Therefore, as a countermeasure against these noises, a method of inserting a ferrite core into the shielded cable 21 is generally adopted.
[0007]
Further, there is a covered cable in which the first insulating layer 23 of the shielded cable 21 is formed of a magnetic substance-containing insulating resin layer (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0008]
In addition, there is an electromagnetic shielding cable in which a sheath made of a resin mixed with powdered ferrite is formed between the shield layer 24 and the second insulating layer 25 of the cable 21 (for example, see Patent Document 2).

[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-6-131921 (
FIG. 1)
[Patent Document 2]
JP-A-7-85733 (
FIG. 1)
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, regardless of the method of holding the ferrite core (such as resin molding or a cover case), there is a problem that the shielded cable 21 does not have a desirable appearance. Also, in the cable assembly, there are many handling problems such as cracking of the ferrite core.
[0012]
On the other hand, in the coated cable described in JP-A-6-131921, the content of the magnetic substance with respect to the insulating resin is not shown.
[0013]
Further, in the electromagnetic wave shielding cable described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-85733, there is a problem that the outer diameter of the cable becomes large because a sheath made of resin mixed with powdered ferrite is newly added.
[0014]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to eliminate the need for a ferrite core, have the same noise suppression effect as a ferrite core, have excellent aesthetics, do not have any handling problems such as cracks in the ferrite core, and increase the outer diameter of the cable. An object of the present invention is to provide a noise suppression cable capable of suppressing noise without performing noise.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention has been made to achieve the above object, and the invention of claim 1 is a cable in which an insulated wire in which a conductor is covered with an insulator is sequentially covered with a shield and a sheath layer. And a magnetic powder mixed resin layer in which a magnetic powder is mixed with a resin, and the magnetic powder mixed resin layer is a noise suppression cable in which the mixing ratio of the magnetic powder to the resin is 30 to 70% by volume.
[0016]
The invention according to claim 2 is the noise suppressing cable according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the magnetic powder mixed resin layer is 1/10 or less of the cable outer diameter.
[0017]
The invention according to claim 3 is the noise suppression cable according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the magnetic powder is a Ni—Cu—Zn-based ferrite powder.
[0018]
The invention according to claim 4 is the noise suppression cable according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the magnetic powder is a Mn-Zn ferrite powder.
[0019]
The invention according to claim 5 is the noise suppression cable according to any one of claims 1 to 4, which conforms to an interface standard such as a USB standard, an IEEE 1394 standard, or a SCSI standard.
[0020]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0021]
FIG. 1 is a sectional view of a noise suppression cable 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[0022]
As shown in FIG. 1, a noise suppression cable 1 according to the present invention is a cable mainly used for connection between electronic information and communication devices based on interface standards such as USB standard, IEEE 1394 standard, and SCSI standard. That is, the noise suppression cable 1 includes a signal line having two or more conductors.
[0023]
The noise suppression cable 1 includes four insulated wires (signal wires) 4 in which an outer periphery of a center conductor 2 is covered with an insulator 3 and a conductive shield 5 of a metal braided wire that covers the outer periphery of the four insulated wires 4. And a sheath layer 6 covering the outer periphery of the conductive shield 5. The sheath layer 6 covers the outer periphery of the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 in which magnetic powder is mixed with resin and the outer periphery of the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7. It has a two-layer structure with a protective sheath layer 8 made of resin or the like.
[0024]
The space 9 is filled between each insulated wire 4 and between the four insulated wires 4 and the conductive shield 5. Depending on the material of the insulator 3 and the conductive shield 5, the interposition 9 may not be used.
[0025]
The magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 is set so that, for example, the mixing ratio of the magnetic powder to the resin is 30 to 70% by volume. More preferably, as described later in Examples, the mixing ratio of the magnetic powder to the resin is set to 40 to 45% by volume when viewed from two aspects of the cable workability and the noise suppression effect.
[0026]
As the magnetic powder, for example, Ni—Cu—Zn ferrite powder, Mn—Zn ferrite powder, soft magnetic metal powder, or the like is used. As the base resin, for example, a vinyl chloride resin, an ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer, a fluororesin, a silicone resin, or the like is used. The protective sheath layer 8 is formed of the same resin as the base resin used for the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7.
[0027]
In the present embodiment, for example, the outer diameter φ of the noise suppression cable 1 is 4.3 mm, the thickness d of the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 is 0.4 mm, and the thickness d of the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 is It is 1/5 to 1/10 of the outer diameter φ of the noise suppression cable 1.
[0028]
By forming the sheath layer 6 into a two-layer structure including the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 and the protective sheath layer 8, the mechanical strength of the sheath layer 6 is reinforced, coloring is possible, and the surface state becomes smooth. The appearance is also good.
[0029]
As a method of covering the outer periphery of the conductive shield 5 with the sheath layer 6, the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 and the protective sheath layer 8 are taken into consideration in consideration of the adhesion at the boundary between the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 and the protective sheath layer 8. It is preferable to extrude and coat both layers simultaneously.
[0030]
Conventionally, a connector at the end of an interface cable (for example, USB, IEEE 1394, SCSI, etc.) for connecting between a computer and peripheral external devices (hard disk drive, printer, digital camera, etc.) has noise reduction measures. Is provided with a conductive cover such as a metal cover or a metal tape. When the noise suppression cable 1 according to the present invention is used as an interface bus cable, the connector at the end thereof is also, for example, a connector. It is advisable to take measures such as mixing powder ferrite with the resin constituting the cover, or forming a ferrite layer on the inner surface of the connector cover.
[0031]
As an example of the noise suppression cable 1 according to the present invention, a magnetic powder mixed sheath layer (thickness d is 0.4 mm) made of a resin in which Ni-Cu-Zn-based ferrite powder (average particle size: 5 µm) is mixed at 40% by volume. A prototype noise suppression cable conforming to the USB standard having the number 7 was manufactured. Connectors were connected to both ends of the prototype noise suppression cable, and the PC and hard disk drive were connected with the prototype noise suppression cable, and radiation noise was measured.
[0032]
The measuring method is as follows. In a radio wave anechoic chamber, radiation is performed in accordance with a method of measuring the interference electric field strength (3m method) according to VCCI (Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Information Technology Equipment). Noise measurements were made.
[0033]
First, measure the radiation noise when the personal computer and hard disk drive are connected with a normal USB cable (no noise countermeasures), and then attach one ferrite core to each end of the normal USB cable (two in total) Was measured for radiation noise. Next, the PC and hard disk drive were connected using the prototype noise suppression cable, and the radiation noise was measured.
[0034]
The measurement results show that the noise suppression effect of the ferrite core was about 10 dB at the maximum. On the other hand, the noise suppression effect of the prototype noise suppression cable was about 10 dB at the maximum, which is almost the same as that of the ferrite core.
[0035]
【Example】
Here, the mixing ratio of the ferrite powder to the resin and the noise suppressing effect using Ni-Cu-Zn ferrite powder as the magnetic powder will be described.
[0036]
When the amount of ferrite powder mixed with the resin increases, mechanical properties such as tensile strength decrease, and the moldability deteriorates with the decrease, so that production becomes difficult. On the other hand, when the amount of ferrite powder mixed with the resin decreases, the noise suppressing effect decreases.
[0037]
Therefore, the noise suppression cable 1 in which the ratio of the Ni—Cu—Zn ferrite powder mixed with the base resin was changed to 35, 38, 40, 42, and 45% by volume as in Examples 1 to 5, respectively. Was manufactured, and the noise suppression effect at a frequency of about 140 MHz was measured in the same manner as in the above embodiment. Table 1 shows the measurement results.
[0038]
[Table 1]
[0039]
As shown in Table 1, in Example 1 and Example 2, the amount of ferrite powder mixed was as small as less than 40% by volume, so the noise suppression effects were 5 dB and 7 dB, respectively, which are not very high. As in Examples 3 to 5, when the mixing amount of the ferrite powder was 40% by volume or more, good values of 9 dB, 10 dB, and 11 dB were obtained for the noise suppression effect. Further, even if the mixing amount of the ferrite powder is larger than 45% by volume, the elongation of the noise suppressing effect is not so improved, and if the mixing amount of the ferrite powder exceeds 60% by volume, the mechanical strength such as the tensile strength is extremely increased. The properties are reduced, and the moldability is deteriorated.
[0040]
Therefore, it is understood that the mixing amount of the ferrite powder with respect to the resin is most preferably 40 to 45% by volume in consideration of the mechanical properties, the moldability, and the noise suppressing effect.
[0041]
As described above, in the noise suppression cable 1 according to the present invention, since the sheath layer 6 covering the outer periphery of the conductive shield 5 has the two-layer structure of the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 and the protective sheath layer 8, The mechanical properties are good and the moldability is also good. In addition, since the cable 1 itself has a noise suppressing effect by the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7, even if the electromagnetic wave noise leaks from the conductive shield 5, the radiation of the electromagnetic wave noise to the outside of the cable 1 can be surely suppressed. Conversely, it is possible to reliably suppress noise from outside the cable 1 from entering the cable 1.
[0042]
The outer diameter φ of the noise suppression cable 1 is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the shielded cable 21 described with reference to FIG. Since the sheath layer 6 of the noise suppressing cable 1 is formed by dividing the second insulating layer 25 of the shielded cable 21 into two layers, so-called noise can be surely suppressed without increasing the cable outer diameter. In addition, since the thickness d of the magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 is 1/5 to 1/10 of the outer diameter φ of the cable 1, noise can be reliably suppressed with a compact structure.
[0043]
The magnetic powder mixed sheath layer 7 has a mixing ratio of the magnetic powder to the resin of 30 to 70% by volume, so that the electromagnetic wave radiation prevention is equal to or greater than that of a conventional shielded cable 1 in which a ferrite core is inserted. The effect is obtained.
[0044]
Therefore, the noise suppression cable 1 does not require a ferrite core to be inserted into the cable, and can be used in a normal form as a cable. Therefore, there is no handling problem as described in the related art, and the appearance is excellent. ing.
[0045]
The noise suppression cable 1 has a high noise suppression effect and conforms to the interface standards such as the USB standard, the IEEE 1394 standard, and the SCSI, so that it is an optimal cable for connection between electronic information communication devices.
[0046]
In the embodiment, the noise suppression effect near the frequency of 140 MHz has been described. However, the cable 1 can effectively suppress noise over a wide frequency range of about 1 kHz to 1 GHz.
[0047]
In the above-described embodiment, the example in which the number of the insulated wires 4 is four has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to the number of the insulated wires 4, and therefore, the number of the insulated wires 4 may be one or more. May be.
[0048]
【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, the present invention exerts the following excellent effects.
[0049]
(1) An effect of preventing electromagnetic wave radiation that is at least as high as that obtained when a ferrite core is inserted through a cable is obtained.
[0050]
(2) There is no need to insert a ferrite core into the cable, and the cable can be used in a normal form as a cable.
[0051]
(3) Noise can be suppressed without increasing the cable outer diameter.
