Description

【0001】

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0055]
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a printer as a paper packaging material and an image forming apparatus according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the printer, and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the paper packaging material according to the present invention. Has been partially moved in the take-out direction. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the arrow A in the reverse direction, FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view along the arrow A, and FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the support member. Here, the sheet conveyance direction is indicated by an arrow A.
[0056]
1 is a paper packaging material. P is one or a plurality of stacked sheets, and here, a form in which a plurality of sheets are stacked is shown. Reference numeral 20 denotes a support member that prevents the paper P from being deformed in the plane direction, and is made of thick paper, plastic thin plate, or the like having higher rigidity than the paper P. The support member 20 has a substantially U-shaped cross-sectional shape with surfaces 21 and 22 facing the upper and lower surfaces of the stacked paper P and a surface 23 connecting the two planes, and is formed in the downstream direction in the transport direction A of the paper P. The end faces 21a and 22a facing the side, the end faces 21c and 22c facing the upstream side, and the end faces 21b and 22b parallel to the transport direction A connecting the end faces 21a and 21c and 22a and 22c are open. Further, the width h of the support member 20 and the width H of the sheet P are set so that h <H.
[0057]
Further, an opening 21g that penetrates the front and back is provided in a part of the upper surface 21 of the support member 20 at a position facing the paper feeding unit of the printer as the image forming apparatus. Here, the opening 21g may have an opening shape continuous with the end surface 21a in the sheet transport direction. An opening 22i is provided on the lower surface 22 and an opening 22i is provided on the upper surface 21 so as to face each other. The cleaner members 50 and 51 are fixed to the sheet P side of the lower surface 22, that is, the side facing the sheet feeding means, using an adhesive such as a double-sided tape.
[0058]
Here, the cleaner members 50 and 51 have a surface with minute unevenness like sponge or sandpaper of a porous elastic body, and are provided with unevenness with a minute elastic body like magic tape. In the vicinity of the cleaner member 51, a cleaner identification means 22h for identifying this surface as a cleaner surface is provided using, for example, an aluminum tape having a high reflectance. Reference numeral 30 denotes a packaging material for wrapping the paper P and the support member 20, which is made of paper or a resin film such as PP or PET, is formed in a bag shape having an opening 35 on one side in the paper transport direction, and is opened. The end face 37 side connected to the end face 35 is formed in a continuous shape without a joint.
[0059]
When the packaging material 30 is a flexible material that does not allow moisture to pass through, such as a resin film, it is possible to prevent the paper from being deteriorated, expanded, contracted, or deformed due to moisture absorption. Further, when the packaging material 30 is a thin and soft resin film or the like, the shape can be formed by heat sealing or the like, and assembling costs can be reduced as compared with thick paper or paper, so that there is also an effect of cost reduction.

In the case where the packaging material 30 is formed by heat sealing with a resin film or the like, it takes less time and effort to manufacture than bonding or the like, and can be manufactured at low cost. Thereby, the sheet P can be substantially evenly abutted on the conveyance guide of the printer described later with only the end face 37 interposed therebetween, and the displacement of the sheet P with respect to the printer can be minimized.
[0061]
An opening 33g is formed on the upper surface 33 at a position facing the paper feeding means of the printer and at a position corresponding to the opening 21g provided on the upper surface 21 of the support member 20. The opening 33g can be provided continuously and integrally with the opening 35 in the transport direction. Thus, the openings 35 and 33g are opened when used, and are closed when not used. Here, the openings 35 and 33g are integrally opened and closed by the folded portion 31a, but it is also possible to provide an individual opening and closing member for each opening.
[0062]
Further, a flat portion 34 is provided on an end surface of the packaging material 30 opposite to the opening 35, and an opening 34a is provided. This is used when the paper packaging material 1 is hooked on a product display hook and sold when the paper packaging material 1 is sold. A sponge 40 is provided between the surface 23 of the support member 20 and the packaging material 30 and biases the paper P and the support member 20 toward the end surface 34 in the packaging material 30. Even when the open end face 35 is turned down with the folded portion 31 of the packaging material 30 opened by the urging force, the paper P and the support member 21 remain in the packaging material 30 and do not slip off.
[0063]
Further, on the outer surface of the packaging material 30, there are provided printing parts 33k for various handling explanation items, for example, explanations of contents, operation explanations and the like. In particular, when the entire packaging material is mounted on an image forming apparatus described later, the printing unit 33k is provided at a position that can be viewed from outside the apparatus. Further, on a portion of the upper surface 33 which is exposed when the folded portion 31a is opened, various set values of the paper P to be housed therein are printed as a bar identifying means as a pack identifying means 33h.
[0064]
A transparent portion 31i is provided at a position overlapping the sheet area of the lower surface 31 and facing the openings 21i and 22i provided in the support member 20, and a display portion 33i is provided inside the upper surface 33 opposed thereto. Here, the light transmittance of the packaging material 30> the light transmittance of the paper P, and the light transmittance of the packaging material 30> the light transmittance of the display unit 33i are set. The light incident from the transparent part does not pass through. When the display unit 33i is formed of characters, symbols, and the like that are readable when viewed from the outside of the upper surface 33, it is possible to perform display when paper is exhausted by using a light emitting unit on the apparatus described later. is there. Further, the display section 33i is made of a member having a high reflectance, and it is possible to detect the absence of paper using the light emitting means and the light receiving sensor on the apparatus side.
[0065]

A pressure plate 112, which is a sheet stacking portion, is rotatably supported on a base 111 at 112a, and is urged by a spring 113 in the direction of arrow B.
[0067]
Further, a side guide 160 that can move forward on the pressure plate 112 in the direction of arrow H is provided to regulate the transport direction of the paper P. Reference numeral 114 denotes a paper feed roller serving as a paper feed means, which is rotatably supported by the base 111, and is rotated in the direction of arrow C by drive means and control means shown in FIG. The paper feed roller 114 has a half-moon-shaped cross-section, and the pressure plate 112 is brought into contact with the roller cylindrical portion by a cam mechanism (not shown) formed coaxially so that the pressure plate 112 does not come into contact with the non-cylindrical portion. Restrict the rotation position. Reference numeral 131 denotes a conveyance roller, and 134 denotes a paper discharge roller, which is rotatably supported by a chassis (not shown).
[0068]
Reference numeral 132 denotes a pinch roller which is pivotally supported by the guide member 133. Further, the guide member 133 is rotatably supported by a chassis (not shown) at 133 a, and urges the pinch roller 132 in a direction in which the pinch roller 132 is pressed against the transport roller 131 by the urging means 136. A spur 135 is rotatably supported by a chassis (not shown), and is pressed against the paper discharge roller 134 by urging means (not shown). Here, the transport roller 131 and the discharge roller 134 are rotated in the directions of arrows E and F by a drive system (not shown), and transport the sheet P in the direction of arrow D. Reference numeral 151 denotes a print head, and 152, a platen. The print head 151 is configured to move in the direction of arrow H, and discharges ink onto the surface of the sheet P conveyed on the platen 152 to form an image.
[0069]
Reference numeral 170 denotes a pack detection sensor provided at a position facing the above-described pack identification means 33h, and reference numeral 171 denotes a cleaner detection sensor provided at a position facing the above-described cleaner identification means 22h. Reference numeral 173 denotes a position facing the transparent portion 31i of the lower surface 31 of the paper packaging material 1, and light emitting means provided on the pressure plate 112 and 174 are light receiving sensors similarly provided near the light emitting means. As described above, when there is no paper, the light from the light emitting unit 173 passes through the transparent portion 31i, the openings 22i and 21i, and the display portion 33i so that the user can recognize that there is no paper.
[0070]
When the display unit 33i is configured to have a high reflectance, the reflected light reaches the light receiving sensor 174, and control such as display of the absence of a sheet can be performed by a control unit (not shown) or the like.
[0071]
Next, an operation and an operation of stacking sheets on the pressure plate 111 of the printer prior to printing will be described.
[0072]
In FIG. 5A, in order to open the folded portion 31 of the paper packaging material 1, the adhesive 32 is peeled off from the upper surface 33 and folded in the direction of arrow G to form an opening 35 as shown in FIG. 5B. . At this time, the opening 33g of the upper surface 33 of the packaging material 30 and the opening 21g of the upper surface 21 of the support member 20 are opened in the upper surface direction, and the uppermost surface of the paper P is exposed through the openings 33g and 21g. At this time, if the paper P is a material that is strong in gas resistance and strong in moisture absorption, it is necessary to set the paper P together with the support member 20 on the printer 100 after peeling off the packaging material 30 even without the opening 33g. Is also possible.
[0073]
The paper packaging material 1 in this state is mounted on the pressure plate 112 which is a paper loading portion of the printer 100, the side guide 160 is moved in the direction of arrow H, and the entire paper packaging material 1 is made to follow the guide 111a. At this time, the adhesive material 32 folded back to the back surface 34 sticks to the pressure plate 112, and regulates the position of the packaging material 30, especially the position in the A direction. In this configuration, the opening 34 a provided in the flat portion 34 of the paper packaging material 1 may be configured to be hooked on the hook 117 of the base 111.
[0074]
Further, instead of the adhesive material 32, it is also possible to use a magic tape or a linear cut and a tongue shape to be inserted therein. At this time, the sheet P does not slip off in the direction A due to the urging force of the sponge 40.
[0075]
In this state, the opening 33g of the packaging material and the opening 21g of the support member are arranged at positions facing the paper feed roller 114 which is a paper feed unit of the printer.
[0076]
The operability of the user can be improved by providing 33k displayed by printing or the like on the upper surface 33 of the paper packaging material 1 for the procedure of mounting from the opening to the printer as described above, the mounting direction, and the like. Further, if the display is made in a readable direction and position in a state of being attached to the apparatus, it becomes easier to understand.
[0077]
When the printer is turned on when the paper packaging material 1 is mounted, the pack identification means 33h on the upper surface of the packaging material faces the pack detection sensor 170 of the printer, and the detection signal is not detected from the pack detection sensor 170. The settings are sent to the control means shown in the figure, and various settings are made. For example, a paper type, a paper size, an image processing method for the paper type, various displays, restrictions, and the like are set. This automates various settings that the user must set at the time of printing.
[0078]
Next, an operation in printing will be described.
[0079]
When a print command is sent from a PC (not shown), a sheet feeding operation is started by control means (not shown) of the printer. First, the feed roller 114 is rotated in the direction of arrow C by a drive system (not shown), and when the cylindrical portion of the feed roller 114 comes to a position facing the sheet P, the pressure plate 112 is acted on by the cam (not shown) to act on the spring 114. , The uppermost surface of the paper P and the paper feed roller 114 come into pressure contact with each other through the opening 33g on the upper surface of the packaging material and the opening 21g on the upper surface of the support member. Although the paper P is retained in the packaging material 30 by the sponge 40, the transport force from the paper feed roller 114 acts more on the uppermost paper P, and the paper P is transported in the direction of arrow D. At this time, when a plurality of sheets are moved, only the top one sheet can be conveyed by the effect of the separation bank 111b as the separating means.
[0080]
Thereafter, the print head 151 is conveyed in the direction of arrow D by the conveyance roller 131 and the pinch roller 132, and the paper discharge roller 134 and the spur 135, and an image is formed on the paper P by reciprocating movement of the print head 151 in the direction of arrow H and ink ejection. Finally, the paper is discharged out of the printer by the paper discharge roller 134 and the spur 135. After all the printing is completed, even if the packaging material 30 is lifted from the printer 100 and the sponge 40 is lifted from the printer 100 while including the remaining paper P and the support member 20, the urging force of the sponge 40 is still working. Neither P nor the support member 20 slips off from the inside of the packaging material 30 and can be easily cleared.
