本発明は、家庭の台所や洗面台等に設置され、水道水中に含まれる残留塩素や赤錆等を、水処理材が充填された交換可能な浄水カートリッジで取り除き、浄水とする浄水器に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
飲用水としての水道水は、その水質基準により一応の安全性を有しているものの、より安全で美味しい水とするために、さらに浄水器によって浄化される状況が増えている。
通常、浄水器においては、水処理材とする活性炭等の吸着材により、水道水中のカルキ臭、カビ臭、トリハロメタン等が、また、水処理材として併用される多孔質中空糸膜により、水道水中の細菌、汚濁成分等が除去される。そして、浄水器には、水処理材の浄化能力が低下した際の水処理材交換の容易さから、水処理を行う活性炭、中空糸膜等をカートリッジ化した浄水カートリッジが用いられている。

従来から、前記浄水カートリッジの浄化能力低下が予想される時期をあらかじめ浄水器本体等に表示して、使用者が忘れずに浄水カートリッジの交換が行える機能を有した浄水器が知られている。例えば図4に示すような、寿命到達が予期される月を、ダイヤルやリング等の操作部の回動によって表示設定可能な機構を浄水器本体に設けたものがある(特許文献1参照)。

ところで、特許文献1のような従来の浄水器の一例である据置型浄水器50においては、浄水器本体(5)の定位置、例えば1から12の月数字を印刷等により盤上に全て羅列配置し、回動する操作部=操作盤(33)に設けられた矢印等の指示部(38)が数字の内のどれかを指し示すように構成していた。

以上の問題を有する浄水器の中にあって、特に、蛇口の先端に取り付けられて、水仕事等による飛散水のかかりやすい蛇口直結型の浄水器では、水が操作部に付着しても滑らずに回すことができる、より一層効果の高い操作部の形状工夫が求められている。

また、このような蛇口直結型浄水器では、飛散水が操作部により付着しづらいようにするため、操作部の本体への配置位置も追加して工夫することが求められており、更に、飛散水が月表示部に付着してしまうと、場合によっては、その部分にカビや雑菌が繁殖して表示が汚れて見えにくくなり、また美観を著しく損ねることにもなり、清掃メンテナンスが頻繁になってしまうため、より飛散水が付着しづらいように月表示部の本体への配置位置までも工夫することが求められている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、上記の問題点に鑑み、浄水カートリッジの交換月表示において見間違えを起こしにくく、かつ遠くから見ても分かりやすく、操作部に水が付着しても回しやすく、かつ水が付着しにくいように操作部及び月表示部の本体への配置位置も工夫された、利便性、作業性、メンテナンス性等に優れた浄水器を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
すなわち、本発明の要旨は、浄水器本体(5)と、着脱可能な浄水カ−トリッジ(6)と、該浄水カ−トリッジ(6)の交換時期を月単位で表示する交換時期表示部(30)とを有してなる浄水器であって、該交換時期表示部(30)が、1月〜12月の月表示部(32)と、該月表示部(32)のうちいずれか一つの月を目視可能な窓部(31)とを有してなる浄水器、である。
