タンクを安価にするため既製の貯木槽か、中古又は新品の200Lドラム缶等を使用。浄化器をドラム缶の上に乗せるだけと構造を簡単にし、浄化剤も軽石又は炭又はその混合を使用、フィルター細目を筒状にし、その中へ浄化剤を入れ、フィルター荒目筒状を浄化剤にかぶせる。浄化器の底はパンチングにより、穴をあけ雨水が落ちやすくする。
