図1・図2に示すよう従来技術での照明器具においては照明器具本体10には直管形蛍光ランプ50を両端から装着するランプソケット40とランプソケット40を内側から装着する一対のエンドプレート20から構成されており、エンドプレート額縁面24が直列配置形態で直視される単体連結照明器具となっていた。
図3・図4・図5に示すよう本考案技術での照明器具においては照明器具本体10には直管形蛍光ランプ50を両端から装着するランプソケット40とランプソケット40を内側から装着する相対向する一対のエンドプレート20と取付板30から構成されており、各ランプソケット40に対応する一対のエンドプレート20および取付板30は照明器具本体10の長手方向端部に各々固着させことにより直列配置形態においての額縁面24に相当する部分を排除する通し連結照明器具を可能とする。
以下、通し連結照明器具について詳細説明する。照明器具本体10の長手方向端部に各々固着されたエンドプレート20および取付板30にはランプソケット40を装着する為の止め孔22・32が形成されており、止め孔22・32にエンドプレート20および取付板30の内側からランプソケット40に形成された固定爪42を挿入し、固定爪42の一部がエンドプレート20および取付板30の外側へ突出する態様で止め孔22・32に段発的に係合することによりランプソケット40がエンドプレート20および取付板30に装着されている照明器具10において、
