上記課題を解決するため、この発明に係る包装用パッドでは、底壁の側縁から順次繋がる内側板及び外側板から成る側壁を、瓶の胴部及び肩部にそれぞれ沿う胴当部及び肩当部から構成し、肩当部には、内側板と外側板の間に瓶の首部側へかけて徐々に幅が広くなる額縁板を設け、この額縁板で外箱の両側に生じる隙間を埋めることとし、胴当部と肩当部の外側板の境界部分に切目を入れ、外側板に生じる歪みを吸収することとしたのである。
