Abstract
Description
【0001】
【0008】
そして、最後にコンテンツのDRM(Digital Rights Management:デジタル著作権管理)暗号化について説明する。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a content distribution management method, and more particularly to a copyright management method for video information (content) in a video distribution platform accommodating one or more providers of video distribution services.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a system for providing video information, that is, content, as the most basic system, various types of content are filed and stored in a server, and a content file corresponding to a request from an end user in response to an end user request. There is a system that downloads the data from a center device and provides it to the end user. Further, as a more technically advanced system, there is a system such as a so-called video-on-demand (VOD) system which enables interactive control of distribution of video information between a server and an end user. Further, there is a system that can provide video information shot by a video distribution service provider to end users in real time in a live format.
[0003]
When distributing content data such as video on the NW such as the Internet, copyright or distribution such as unauthorized use, falsification, duplication, etc. of the content by persons who do not have the copyright of the content or who do not have the right to distribute it. It is indispensable to distribute in a manner that prevents infringement of the rights of those who have rights. At present, as a copyright protection technique for suppressing or preventing such actions, insertion of a digital watermark into content, coupling of content with DCD (Distributed Contents Descriptor: distribution content descriptor), DRM encryption processing, and the like are considered. Hereinafter, the deterrence effect and the method of handling content by each copyright protection means will be described.
[0004]
First, when inserting a digital watermark into content, about 64 bits of other information (for example, an ID for identifying the content) can be embedded in the content such as a moving image or a still image. The ID can be expected to remain without being deleted even if various editing and processing such as partial cutout are performed on the embedded content, and content management using the ID can be realized. Copyright management can be realized by associating the ID with the copyright DB. Even in the event of unauthorized duplication (copying files and capturing images / videos), it is possible to extract information inserted in advance from the duplicated data. Information that manages copyright information (e.g., a content ID) can be obtained, and the information of the copyright holder of the content can be presented based on the information and collating it with information in a database registered in advance. . (Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2005-163873 discloses a technique related to an unauthorized search using a digital watermark.)
In addition, by notifying the user of the content in advance that the digital watermark has been inserted, a deterrent effect can be expected.
[0005]
Next, DCD coupling will be described. The DCD is a “distribution content descriptor” (content meta tag information) that is combined with the content and distributed together with the content. Two types of methods, an Embedding Model in which the DCD is inserted into an area that does not affect the reproduction of the content, such as a user area in the header part of the content, and a Separate Model, in which the DCD is configured in a file separate from the content. However, this is not a limitation. The purpose is to inquire the content-related information providing device (such as a center database for managing authors and copyrights) arranged on the NW every time for content attribute information (contents, inquiries about copyright holders, usage conditions, etc.). If not, you can refer to the minimum necessary information locally. As a reference method, a system has been proposed in which an application called a DCD handler is set on a user terminal connected to the NW, DCD data is acquired and analyzed, and content attribute information, service provider information, and the like are provided to the user. I have. (Patent Document 2)
[0006]
In this system, the DCD handler of the user terminal receives a request for displaying the content of the DCD from the user, and transmits the held DCD, user policy, and system profile to the content-related information providing device arranged on the NW. With this, the content-related information providing device is inquired about information on the content and available service provider information. In response to a request from the DCD handler, the content-related information providing device transmits more detailed content information and more detailed service provider information to the DCD handler in addition to the information stored in the DCD. Based on the content-related information, it is also possible to access the service provider to acquire content data, perform necessary processing on the content data, and provide the content data to the user.
[0007]
Further, by coordinating the DCD and the content-related information providing device, it is possible to easily detect alteration of the DCD itself and alteration of the content. By comparing the hash value stored in the DCD with the hash value data stored in the DB of the content-related information providing apparatus in advance, it is possible to detect tampering. By presenting the DCD function and mechanism to the user in advance, a deterrent effect can be expected. Also, even if the content has been tampered with, it will be possible to detect the tampering and take measures such as suspension of unauthorized use and compensation for damages for those who have illegally used it in violation of its original rights. Become.
[0008]
Finally, DRM (Digital Rights Management) encryption of content will be described. In this system, a technology and an example of a system configuration using Windows Media Right Manager of Microsoft Corporation are presented.
[0009]
DRM is a technology that enables copyright management of digitized audio, music, images, moving images, etc., and that has obtained an appropriate license to encrypt digital media content and play the content. Is a system that allows only content to be accessed, and the following enables content encryption and playback.
[0010]
{Circle around (1)} Package digital media files (encrypt digital contents using publicly known public / private key encryption, and store the public key and digital contents in one file). The packaged media file is encrypted with some key information and locked. The secret key for decrypting the code is separately distributed to the user from the license management server on the NW that stores Windows Media Rights Manager as a license separately encrypted from the content when viewing the content.
[0011]
{Circle over (2)} In order to view the DRM-encrypted file, the user must receive a license issued by the management server for a license on the NW that stores Windows Media Rights Manager. The issued license includes rights conditions (number of times of viewing, viewing time, availability of copying, etc.) set by the content provider. In addition, it is necessary to prepare a media player which is a playback program for decrypting the encrypted content data and the data stored in the license.
[0012]
When the user obtains the DRM-encrypted file and the license, the user sets the media player in accordance with the information on the private key included in the license and the “right conditions set by the content provider” included in the license. Utilize to play digital media files.
[0013]
In these systems, the video (content) to be provided is protected by copyright, such as encryption, embedding / combining copyright information, preventing unauthorized copying, and falsification. Since individual systems were designed for a plurality of video distribution service providers, the copyright protection level was fixed when the system was constructed, and the copyright protection level could not be set selectively for each individual content.
[0014]
Actually, service providers and copyright holders of contents tend to extremely dislike image quality deterioration of provided contents. Applying the current copyright protection process multiple times may degrade the image quality, so we want to minimize and minimize the necessary copyright protection process variably and according to the content provision conditions. Although there is a request, the conventional system has not been able to fulfill such a request.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, conventionally, a system is configured for each video distribution service provider that provides each video information. Therefore, when the video distribution service provider is newly accommodated, the copyright protection level and the like are provided. If the service specifications differ, it is necessary to separately install a new server and develop a new application, so that the development cost must be increased and a sufficient lead time until the service starts has to be expected.
[0017]
An object of the present invention is to provide a content distribution management method, apparatus, and program for easily accommodating a new content distribution service provider.
[0018]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the content distribution management method of the present invention, at the time of registration of a content distribution service provider, by selecting whether or not each of a plurality of copyright protection means constituting the copyright management means for managing the copyright of the registered content is applied. Initially, the content distribution service provider copyright information is set initially, and the content distribution service provider copyright information can be changed when individual content is registered.
[0019]
Further, the content distribution apparatus of the present invention has a plurality of copyright protection means and a copyright management means capable of selectively combining the plurality of copyright protection means with registered contents.
[0020]
By embedding a plurality of copyright protection means in a content management device (video distribution platform) accommodating a plurality of content distribution service providers and enabling the application of the plurality of copyright protection means to be independently set, A new video distribution service provider can easily be accommodated in the video distribution platform without newly developing an application for performing copyright management.
