Abstract
Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an operation method for a glass melting furnace, and more particularly to an operation method for reducing NOx contained in combustion exhaust gas accompanying combustion of a burner.
[0002]
[Prior art]
A melting chamber that receives the supply of glass raw material and melts it, a heat storage chamber that recovers the heat of the combustion exhaust gas through a plurality of ports provided on both sides thereof, and preheats combustion air, and each port There is known a glass melting furnace that is provided with a burner installed in the column and that alternately burns fuel for melting the glass for each row of opposed burners.
[0003]
Furthermore, as a method for efficiently reducing NOx contained in combustion exhaust gas accompanying burner combustion in the glass melting furnace, natural gas or the like is injected as reburn gas into the combustion exhaust gas exiting the melting chamber, and the upper space of the heat storage chamber Is also known as a reduction zone (reburning zone) where NOx in the combustion exhaust gas is reduced and removed, and secondary air as an oxidant is supplied downstream to completely burn unburned substances such as CO. It has been. The injection of the reburn gas is performed from all or a part of the burner nozzle installed in the port on the side not involved in combustion, or from the gas nozzle separately installed in the upper space of the heat storage chamber (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 55-27859, JP-A-6-239618).
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By applying the reburning combustion method to the combustion exhaust gas leaving the glass melting chamber as described above, the amount of NOx contained in the combustion exhaust gas can be reduced to an acceptable level or less, and the natural environment Conservation is secured. However, the amount of combustion exhaust gas discharged from the glass melting furnace is large, and stoichiometrically, a reducing agent (reburn gas) concentration higher than a predetermined value is required to start NOx reduction in a certain atmosphere. Therefore, when reburn gas injection is performed from each burner installed in all or a part of the ports not involved in combustion, or from a gas nozzle separately installed in the upper space of the heat storage chamber In any case, a large amount of reburn gas is required to make the entire upper space of the heat storage chamber a reduction region, which has a cost problem.
[0005]
On the other hand, as a measure for suppressing the amount of NOx released from the glass melting furnace to the atmosphere, the combustion of fuel in the glass melting furnace as well as the technique of applying the reburning combustion method to the total amount of combustion exhaust gas as described above Various improvements have been made to the method itself.
[0006]
Since the amount of exhaust gas in glass melting furnaces is relatively large among various industrial furnaces, this is a case where the amount of NOx emissions slightly exceeds the regulation value, and it is necessary to reduce it by several tens of ppm in order to reduce it below the regulation value. However, a large amount of reburn gas is required, which is very uneconomical. There is a method of using a denitration agent as a method of reducing NOx, but even in this case, a large amount of denitration agent is required.
[0007]
In addition, when the reburning combustion method is adopted, since the entire amount of the combustion exhaust gas is used as a reducing atmosphere, it is essential to supply a large amount of secondary air for burning the unburned portion in the downstream area of the flue, Since a secondary air supply facility is required, the configuration of the glass melting furnace is complicated.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and in a glass melting furnace operating method in which the reburning combustion method is applied to combustion exhaust gas, when the total amount of NOx to be removed is small, the amount of reburn gas is small. It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel method of operating a glass melting furnace that makes it possible to remove the desired NOx and thereby reduce the operating cost of the glass melting furnace reasonably.
[0009]
Another object of the present invention is to completely burn the unburned components in the combustion exhaust gas depending on the operation state without supplying the secondary air in the downstream flue. An object of the present invention is to provide a novel method of operating a glass melting furnace that can simplify the structure of the furnace.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The method for operating a glass melting furnace according to the present invention recovers the heat of a melting chamber that receives a glass raw material and melts it, and combustion exhaust gas flowing in from a plurality of ports provided on both sides of the melting chamber. In the glass melting furnace provided with a heat storage chamber for preheating air and a burner installed at each port, wherein the combustion of the fuel for melting the glass is alternately performed for each row of the opposed burners. The reburn gas is injected only into a region close to the port located upstream of the glass raw material supply in the upper space region of the chamber, and the NOx is reduced with the combustion exhaust gas passing through the region being reduced to an air ratio of 1 or less. At the same time, in the downstream flue, the residual oxygen in the untreated combustion exhaust gas that has passed through the area close to other ports oxidizes the unburned matter contained in the mixed combustion exhaust gas. It is characterized in.
[0011]
In the above method, the entire amount of combustion exhaust gas containing NOx is not reduced, but only the combustion exhaust gas that passes through a region close to the port located upstream of the glass raw material supply in the upper space region of the heat storage chamber. Is reduced, and NOx reduction treatment proceeds only there. Combustion exhaust gas from which NOx has been reduced and removed and untreated combustion exhaust gas are mixed in the downstream flue, but the amount of NOx contained in the mixed exhaust gas after the mixing is partially reduced and removed compared to the beginning. Decrease by a certain amount. In the operation mode of the glass melting furnace in which the total amount of NOx contained in the initial combustion exhaust gas slightly exceeds the reference value to be cleared, the reference value may be cleared by the partial removal described above. Fully possible.
[0012]
In particular, in a glass melting furnace having a plurality of ports and a heat storage chamber on both sides of the melting chamber, the distribution of NOx contained in the combustion exhaust gas flowing into the plurality of ports during operation is not uniform. Usually, the upstream side of the glass raw material supply is larger than the downstream side. In particular, the combustion exhaust gas in the region of about 1/3 to 1/2 on the upstream side in the glass moving direction in the melting chamber contains a large amount of NOx. Depending on the operation mode, the amount of NOx contained in the combustion exhaust gas flowing into the port in the downstream region may be lower than the reference value to be cleared.
[0013]
Therefore, in the present invention, the combustion exhaust gas containing a higher concentration of NOx than the others, particularly, the combustion exhaust gas in the region of about 1/3 to 1/2 of the upstream side in the glass movement direction of the melting chamber. In contrast, reburn gas is injected. Thereby, a partial NOx removal effect can be achieved efficiently with a smaller amount of reburn gas.
[0014]
In the method of the present invention, only the combustion exhaust gas passing through a part of the region is only reduced, and the entire volume of the combustion exhaust gas, that is, the entire region of the upper space of the heat storage chamber is used as the reduction region. As compared with, the amount of reburn gas to be supplied is greatly reduced, and the cost can be reduced. Further, about 1 to 2% of oxygen usually remains in the untreated combustion exhaust gas, and unburned substances such as CO contained in the combustion exhaust gas after mixing are combusted by the residual oxygen. Therefore, it is possible to omit providing facilities for supplying secondary air to the downstream flue, and the facilities are simplified.
[0015]
The reburn gas injection may be performed from a burner nozzle on a port not participating in combustion among the burner nozzles installed in the port, or may be performed from a gas nozzle separately installed in the upper space of the heat storage chamber. In the latter case, it is preferable to inject the reburn gas into a space higher than the position of the port in the upper space of the heat storage chamber. This promotes the mixing of the combustion exhaust gas to be treated with the reburn gas and is longer. Since reduction time can be secured, a higher NOx removal effect can be obtained.
[0016]
As described above, in the method for operating the glass melting furnace of the present invention, it is not always necessary to arrange equipment for supplying secondary air to the downstream flue, but depending on the operating environment, it is included in the untreated combustion exhaust gas. It may happen that the complete combustion of the unburned fuel does not proceed with the remaining oxygen amount. For this purpose, it is preferable to provide a facility for supplying air to the combustion exhaust gas in the downstream flue as a preliminary facility, and supplying secondary air as required.

[0035]
As can be seen from FIG. 7, after the combustion exhaust gas flowing in from the port enters the upper space of the heat storage chamber, the entire amount does not immediately flow down toward the heat recovery section, but a part of the exhaust gas flows into the upper portion of the heat storage chamber. After colliding with the side wall facing the port in the space, it rises, flows along the ceiling in a vortex, and then flows down toward the heat recovery unit. Therefore, as shown in the figure, the upper space of the heat storage chamber is positioned higher than the port arrangement position, and more preferably, it rides the flow of combustion exhaust gas rising along the side wall surface facing the port. Thus, it is understood that by injecting the reburn gas from the

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the operation method of the glass melting furnace according to the present invention, when the total amount of NOx to be removed is small, it becomes possible to remove desired NOx with a smaller amount of reburn gas than in the case of the conventional method, thereby It is possible to rationally reduce the operating cost of the glass melting furnace. Also, even if secondary air is not supplied in the downstream flue, depending on the operating conditions, the unburned components in the combustion exhaust gas can be burned completely, and the configuration of the glass melting furnace can be simplified. it can.
