本発明は、器具本体を開閉可能に設置した照明装置に関する。

従来、鉄道車両などの車両に車内灯として用いられる照明装置は、車内の天井に設置される器具本体を備え、この器具本体にはランプやこのランプを点灯させる点灯装置などが配設されている。器具本体の表面側にグローブなどの制光体が配置される場合には、制光体の一側がヒンジによって器具本体に回動可能に支持され、制光体の他側が係止機構によって器具本体に閉じた状態で解除可能に係止される。照明装置を車両に設置する場合には、車両側からのケーブルと器具本体の点灯装置から引き出されたケーブルとを電気的に接続した後、器具本体を車両側に固定している。ランプ交換の際には、制光体を開放して器具本体内のランプを交換している(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、車両の天井裏に各種の機器が配置されており、車内側から天井裏の機器を点検するようにしている。器具本体の裏側に機器が配置されている場合には、器具本体の裏側を開放して機器の点検作業をしなければならない。器具本体の裏側を開放するには、車両側に固定している器具本体を天井から取り外すとともに器具本体側と車両側とを電気的に接続するケーブルを外し、取り外した照明器具を作業の邪魔にならない別の場所などに運んで載置しなければならない。また、点検後には、別の場所などに載置しておいた照明器具を運び込み、器具本体側と車両側とのケーブルを接続し、器具本体を天井に配置して車両側に固定しなければならない。

したがって、車両に設置されている器具本体の裏側を開放するには、車両からの器具本体の着脱を伴うため、作業性が悪い問題がある。

図3および図4に示すように、照明装置11は、例えば鉄道の車両12の室内灯として用いられるものであり、車両12の車内に臨む被設置部としての天井部13にその天井部13の両側位置つまり車両12の両側の側壁部14との間にそれぞれ設置されているとともに、車両12の長手方向に連続して複数の照明装置11が設置されている。

また、制光体22は、器具本体21の照射開口45に対応した長方形板状で光透過性を有する乳白色に形成された制光部としてのグローブ61を有し、このグローブ61の周辺が長方形枠状の枠部62の裏面側に配置されて保持されている。枠部62の中央部にはグローブ61より小形の窓孔63が形成され、枠部62の裏面側の周辺部には例えばゴム製の弾性を有するパッキング64を介してグローブ61の周辺部を枠部62の裏面側に押し付けて保持するグローブ押え金具65が取り付けられている。制光体22の裏面側の周辺部に配置されたグローブ押え金具65は、制光体22を器具本体21に閉じた際に、器具本体21の周辺部に配置されたパッキング53に接触する接触部として構成されている。

通常の照明装置11では、器具本体21の長手方向の長さが直管形蛍光ランプLの長手方向の長さに近く、器具本体21内の直管形蛍光ランプLを配置した状態での器具本体21の端部と直管形蛍光ランプLの端部との間の間隙が比較的小さく、照明装置11の端部側でも明るい。車両12の長手方向に連続して複数の照明装置11を設置する場合に、車両12の長手方向の長さ寸法と連続して設置する複数の照明装置11の長さ寸法とが一致しないことが多く、照明装置11の連続性を維持するために、通常の照明装置11より長い照明装置11aが1つあるいは複数用いられて組み合わされる。この照明装置11aの場合、長さが長い器具本体21の一端側に直管形蛍光ランプLの一端側を寄せて配置した場合、器具本体21の他端と直管形蛍光ランプLの他端との間の間隙が大きいため、照明装置11の他端部が暗くなる。
