Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system for performing settlement using an electronic wallet / currency storage device (or electronic wallet) storing electronic currencies of a plurality of countries.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a payment method for providing goods services to customers, there is a method using electronic currency (electronic money) stored in an electronic wallet / currency storage device. In the conventional settlement method using the electronic currency, the settlement is performed only with the single currency electronic currency stored in the electronic wallet / currency storage device, and the settlement cannot be performed with any other currency. Further, when the customer uses such an electronic currency, it is naturally impossible to make a payment exceeding the balance of the currency.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, recent developments in transportation have increased the traffic of personnel between neighboring countries and other countries. The above-mentioned electronic currencies have also become increasingly popular in neighboring countries and other countries. Under such circumstances, the conventional settlement method of an electronic currency consisting of a single currency requires the possession of an electronic wallet / currency storage device that stores the electronic currency of each country, which impairs the convenience of customers. ing.
[0004]
If the customer has an electronic wallet / currency storage device A and an electronic wallet / currency storage device B in which the currencies of the countries A and B are stored, the country A is used for settlement in the country A. Must be settled using the electronic wallet / currency storage device A in which the currencies circulated in are stored. Further, when the balance of the currency of the electronic wallet / currency storage device A is insufficient for the settlement, the settlement cannot be performed using the electronic wallet / currency storage device B in which the currency of the country B is stored. It is necessary to perform settlement using means other than the electronic wallet / currency storage device A, such as cash or a check, which is a currency distributed in the country A.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As described above, in the conventional electronic currency settlement method, only a single currency is used for settlement, and there is a problem that it is not possible to settle in the electronic currency of another country where the balance exists. .
[0006]
In view of the above problems, the present inventor has set forth a method of performing settlement in which an electronic wallet / currency storage device stores multinational electronic currencies. We have invented an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system that can settle in electronic currency.
[0007]
The invention according to claim 1 is an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system for performing settlement using an electronic wallet / currency storage device storing balances of currencies of a plurality of countries. A conversion rate input receiving means for receiving an input of a conversion rate between a predetermined country's currency and a local currency, or an exchange rate between respective currencies, and storing it in a conversion table; and receiving a payment amount input for receiving a payment amount input. Means and a system for performing settlement by either a currency-priority settlement in which payment is performed in descending order of priority or a balance-priority settlement in which payment is performed from a currency having a large balance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device. Conversion means for receiving the unsettled amount from the system-side payment means and converting based on the conversion rate stored in the conversion table. It is an electronic wallet and currency storage apparatus operation system having.
[0008]
According to the present invention, by storing balances of currencies of a plurality of countries in an electronic wallet / currency storage device, not only settlement with a single currency but also settlement with electronic money using currencies of a plurality of countries becomes possible. . Therefore, there is no need for the customer to carry multiple electronic wallet / currency storage devices. In addition, the clerk of the store having the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system can manually calculate the currency of another country by inputting the conversion rate as before. Even if you do not convert to, you can automatically settle.
[0009]
In the invention of claim 2, the system-side settlement means transmits a settlement instruction in the first priority currency to the electronic wallet / currency storage device, and outputs the first priority currency from the electronic wallet / currency storage device. Receives the settled amount, stores the received settled amount in the sales table, and if there is an unsettled amount, converts the unsettled amount to a currency other than the settled amount and the currency with the next highest priority And sends a settlement instruction of the converted unsettled amount to the electronic wallet / currency storage device until the unsettled amount runs out, or all or a part of the currency balance in the currency balance table is 0 or a predetermined balance. This is an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system that performs settlement with priority on currency by repeating until the payment is completed or until an instruction to stop settlement is received.
[0010]
ADVANTAGE OF THE INVENTION According to this invention, the payment can be performed with currency priority at the time of payment. The settlement with the currency priority gives priority to settlement in the currency that the store wants to receive payment, so that the store can secure sales in a currency that is considered to have little exchange risk. In other words, if the available currencies are Japanese yen (local currency), US dollar, and Korean won, the currency is stable (currency with low exchange rate fluctuation risk (volatility), currency with high creditworthiness). You will be able to secure sales from certain Japanese yen and US dollars.
[0011]
The invention according to claim 3 is characterized in that the system-side settlement means converts the unsettled amount into all or a part of a currency other than the settled amount, and issues a settlement instruction of the converted unsettled amount to the electronic wallet / currency storage device. To receive the already settled amount from the electronic wallet / currency storage device, store the received settled amount in the sales table, until there is no unsettled amount, or all or some currencies in the currency balance table An electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system for performing settlement with priority on balance by repeating the process until the balance becomes 0 or a predetermined balance, or until an instruction to stop settlement is received.
[0012]
According to the present invention, it is possible to perform settlement with priority on balance at the time of settlement. With the settlement with priority on balance, settlement is performed from the currency where the customer's electronic money balance is large, so in the case of large settlement, settlement can be done without increasing the number of currencies to be used unlike settlement with priority on currency As a result, fluctuations in the balance of each country's currency can be suppressed, and customer convenience is enhanced. In other words, in the case of the settlement with currency priority, the currency of the country of higher priority is always settled with priority, so that the currency of the country of higher priority must be replenished frequently. However, in the case of balance-priority settlement, settlement is made in the currency of the country with the most balance, so settlement is made in the currency of that country until the currency of that country is no longer the maximum balance, so higher priority is set The problem of having to frequently replenish only the national currency is eliminated.
[0013]
The invention according to claim 4 is an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system for performing settlement using an electronic wallet / currency storage device storing currency balances of a plurality of countries. A conversion rate input receiving means for receiving an input of a conversion rate between a predetermined country's currency and a local currency, or an exchange rate between respective currencies, and storing it in a conversion table; and receiving a payment amount input for receiving a payment amount input. Means and a settlement instruction in the local currency are sent to the electronic wallet / currency storage device, the already settled amount of the local currency is received from the electronic wallet / currency storage device, and the received already settled amount is converted into the sales amount for each currency in each country. Stored in the stored sales table, and if there is an unsettled amount, the unsettled amount is converted to a currency other than the settled amount and the next highest priority currency, and the converted undecided Sends an instruction to settle the amount to the electronic wallet / currency storage device, until there is no unsettled amount, or until all or a part of the currency balance in the currency balance table becomes 0 or a predetermined balance, or cancels settlement. E-wallet / currency having a system-side settlement means that repeats until receiving the instruction of the above, and a conversion means for receiving the unsettled amount from the system-side payment means and converting based on the conversion rate stored in the conversion table. It is a storage device operation system.
[0014]
The invention according to claim 5 is an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system for performing settlement using an electronic wallet / currency storage device storing currency balances of a plurality of countries. Stored in the stored sales table, and if there is an unsettled amount, convert the unsettled amount to all or some currencies other than the settled amount, and settle the converted unsettled amount Transmit to the electronic wallet / currency storage device and receive an instruction to cancel the settlement until there is no unsettled amount, or until all or a part of the currency balance in the currency balance table becomes 0 or a predetermined balance. An electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system comprising: a system-side settlement unit that repeats until: and a conversion unit that receives an unsettled amount from the system-side settlement unit and converts the amount based on the conversion rate stored in the conversion table. is there.
[0015]
According to the fourth and fifth aspects of the present invention, the settlement in the local currency is always performed before the settlement in the currency priority or the balance priority, and the settlement in the currency priority or the balance priority is performed only when an unsettled amount occurs in the local currency. It is possible to do. At present, replenishment of currencies is regulated variously by foreign countries. For example, there are some countries which have regulations such as that replenishment of currency into the electronic wallet / currency storage device can only be performed in that country. In such a case, by always performing settlement in the local currency first, it is possible to prevent a decrease in the balance of other currencies that cannot be easily replenished, and to make settlements in other currencies in an emergency evacuation. In addition to ensuring the convenience of the store, the store does not have to take the risk of currency fluctuations, so that the system is highly convenient for both parties.
[0016]
The invention according to claim 6 is the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system in which the conversion rate input receiving means downloads the conversion rate at a predetermined time or in real time via a network to receive the input of the conversion rate.
[0017]
Updating the exchange rate frequently is an important issue in terms of reducing exchange risk, but it is extremely burdensome for clerks to update this frequently. If the conversion rate is erroneously input, an excessively small or excessive amount will be collected from the customer, and a loss will occur at either the customer or the store. Therefore, this is automatically obtained from a specific server (for example, a server of a company distributing financial / economic information via the network) via the network, and stored in the conversion table, whereby the update by the store clerk is performed. It is possible to avoid the risk of loss due to burden and erroneous input.
[0018]
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, when the settlement is made in another currency, the settlement amount in the other currency is displayed on a display provided in the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system in advance. This is an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system that performs settlement after prompting the user to confirm his / her intention to perform settlement.
[0019]
As described above, settlement in a currency of another country is a settlement using a currency that cannot be easily replenished. Therefore, it is not preferable to perform settlement without permission even if there is a balance. Therefore, it is preferable to display the payment amount in the foreign currency on a display before performing the payment in the foreign currency to request confirmation of the customer's intention.
[0020]
The invention according to claim 8, wherein the priority is stored in advance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system, or the system-side settlement means receives the priority from the electronic wallet / currency storage device, Alternatively, there is provided an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system which is determined by the system-side settlement means receiving an input of the priority order by a customer or a clerk at the request of the customer.
[0021]
According to the present invention, it is possible to give a degree of freedom in setting the priority order. In other words, in order to make the store superior, it is possible to store the priorities in advance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system so that the store can set it. The priorities are stored in advance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device so that the setting can be performed, and the priority can be received by the system-side settlement means. Further, in order to enable the setting at any time, the system-side settlement means may receive an input of the priority order by a customer or a clerk at the request of the customer.
[0022]
The invention of claim 9 is an electronic wallet / currency storage device capable of transmitting / receiving data to / from an electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system for transmitting a settlement instruction in a specific currency to the electronic wallet / currency storage device. The electronic wallet / currency storage device receives a payment instruction in a specific currency from the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system, and calculates a payment amount in the specific currency from a currency balance table storing a balance for each currency in each country. An electronic wallet / currency storage device having a card-side payment means for transmitting a reduced and already settled amount to the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system.
[0023]
According to the present invention, an electronic wallet / currency storage device capable of performing settlement in each currency of each country becomes possible.
[0024]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
An example of the system configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the system configuration diagram of FIG. The electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 is installed in duty-free shops and general stores (hereinafter, stores) at airports and seaports, and can transmit / receive data to / from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 by contact or non-contact. It has a payment amount input receiving means 3, a system-side payment means 4, a converting means 5, a conversion rate input receiving means 6, a sales table 7 and a conversion table 8.
[0025]
The payment amount input receiving means 3 is a means for receiving from a store clerk an input of a payment amount for the value of the goods service provided by the store. These may be received at a cash register or a POS system usually installed in a store, or may be received by reading a barcode attached to the article with a barcode reader.
[0026]
The system-side settlement means 4 transmits and receives data to and from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 by transmitting / receiving data to / from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 by contact or non-contact. The settlement amount is received, the received amount (that is, the already settled amount) is stored in the sales table 7, and until the unsettled amount is exhausted, or all or a part of the currency balance in the currency balance table 10 is 0 or predetermined. Until the designated balance is reached, or until an instruction to stop settlement is received, currency priority is set in order from the currency with the highest priority, or settlement is performed in the currency with a large balance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2. This is a means for performing settlement by priority of balance. Here, the instruction to cancel the payment is an instruction in a case where it is desired to stop the payment of the unsettled amount by the electronic money and to perform the payment by another method, for example, cash, check, credit card or the like.
[0027]
At the time of this settlement, settlement may be performed from a currency having a higher priority (currency priority), or settlement may be performed from a currency having a larger settlement amount (balance priority). The priorities may be stored in advance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1, may be received by the system-side settlement means 4 from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2, or may be requested by the customer. The customer or the clerk may input the priority order, and the input of the priority order may be received by the system-side settlement unit 4.
[0028]
Note that the settlement with currency priority is a method of performing settlement in order of currencies having higher priorities, regardless of the balance of each currency stored in the currency balance table 10. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, if the priority order is set to Japanese yen, US dollar, Euro, British pound, Swiss franc, settlement is performed in this order, and settlement is performed when there is no unsettled amount. Is the way to end. Therefore, if the settlement amount is 10,000 yen and the balance table 10 has a balance of 1000 yen in Japanese yen, 10 dollars in US dollars, 10 euros in euros, 10 pounds in British pounds and 200 Swiss francs, First, settlement is made in Japanese yen (unsettled amount of 9,000 yen), then US dollar (unsettled amount of $ 67.58), euro (unsettled amount of 58.42 euros), British pound (unsettled amount of 80) .84 pounds) and Swiss francs (unsettled amount 0, Swiss francs settlement amount 35.44 Swiss francs), so that the balance in the currency balance table 10 after the settlement is 0 yen, There will be US $ 0, Euro0, British Pound0, Swiss Franc 164 and Swiss Franc 56 Centime.
[0029]
The settlement with balance priority is a method of performing settlement from a currency having a large balance in each country currency stored in the currency balance table 10, that is, a currency that can be settled. Therefore, if the settlement amount is 10,000 yen and the balance table 10 has a balance of 1000 yen in Japanese yen, 10 dollars in US dollars, 10 euros in euros, 10 pounds in British pounds and 200 Swiss francs, When 10,000 yen is converted into national currencies, the settlement amount is $ 86.20, 85.14 euro, 54.76 pounds, and 124.89 Swiss francs, and the entire amount is settled in Swiss francs. Accordingly, the currency balance table 10 after the settlement includes Japanese yen 1000 yen, US dollar 10 dollars, euro 10 euros, British pounds 10 pounds, Swiss francs 75.11 Swiss francs. At this time, the settlement may be made in the local currency first, and the settlement may be made only in the currency of another country with the balance priority. Therefore, in the above example, the settlement of 1,000 yen in Japanese yen may be performed first, and the settlement with the balance priority may be performed for the unsettled amount of 9,000 yen.
[0030]
As described above, when the system-side settlement means 4 performs the currency-priority method (priorities are set as shown in FIG. 3, such as Japanese yen, US dollar, euro, British pound, Swiss franc). First, a settlement instruction in the local currency is transmitted to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2, the amount of money settled in the local currency from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is received, and the received amount (ie, the already settled amount in the local currency) ) Is stored in the sales table 7, and if there is an unsettled amount, the unsettled amount is transmitted to the conversion means 5 to convert the unsettled amount into another country's currency (in this case, US dollars). The settlement instruction in another currency (US dollar) converted into the unsettled amount is transmitted to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 again, and the amount settled in the foreign currency (US dollar) from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 Received and decided To store the possible amount of money to the sales table 7 for each currency. This process is repeated until there is no unsettled amount, all the currency balances in the currency balance table 10 become 0, or until an instruction to stop settlement is received.
[0031]
When the system-side settlement means 4 performs the balance-priority method, the conversion means 5 converts the unsettled amount in all currencies, and transmits this to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2. The wallet / currency storage device 2 is settled in a currency that can be settled (that is, a currency with a large settlement amount), the amount settled is received from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2, and the received amount is stored in the sales table 7. If there is an unsettled amount, the unsettled amount is transmitted to the conversion means 5 and the unsettled amount is converted in all or a part of the currency other than the already settled amount, and then transmitted to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 again. Then, the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is settled in a currency that can be settled (that is, a currency having a large settlement amount), the amount settled from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is received, and the received amount is displayed in a sales table. 7 is stored. This process is repeated until there is no unsettled amount, all the currency balances in the currency balance table 10 become 0, or until an instruction to stop settlement is received.
[0032]
The conversion rate input receiving means 6 is a means for receiving an input of a conversion rate between a currency of a predetermined country and a local currency, and storing the input in the conversion table 8. For example, if five major currencies such as Japanese yen (local currency), US dollar, euro, British pound and Swiss franc are settled as currency that can be settled, enter the conversion rate for each currency to Japanese yen. It is a means to accept. The conversion rate may be input by a store clerk arbitrarily, or the conversion rate may be downloaded daily at a predetermined time or in real time via a network such as the Internet. For example, if the exchange rates on a given day are 116.01 dollars, 117.45 euros, 182.63 pounds, and 80.07 yen Swiss francs, these conversion rates are converted into a conversion table. 8 will be stored.
[0033]
The conversion unit 5 is a unit that receives the unsettled amount from the system-side settlement unit 4 and converts the unsettled amount based on the conversion rate stored in the conversion table 8. For example, in the case where the unsettled amount is 10,000 yen and the conversion rate is the above example, 86 dollars and 20 cents in US dollars, 85 euros and 14 cents in euros, 54 pounds and 76 pence in British pounds, When converted to Swiss francs, the conversion means 5 converts them to a value of 124 Swiss francs and 89 centimes, and transmits the converted data to the system-side payment means 4 so that payment is made in another currency.
[0034]
The sales table 7 is a table in which sales by the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 are stored for each currency in each country. FIG. 3 shows a conceptual diagram of the sales table 7.
[0035]
The conversion table 8 is a conversion rate or a currency exchange rate for local currencies which can be used in the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1, in the above example, local currencies of Japanese yen (local currency), US dollar, euro, British pound and Swiss franc. It is a table which stores the conversion rate between. Here, the local currency means the currency of the country where the store in which the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 is provided is located. FIG. 4A is a conceptual diagram of the conversion table 8. The conversion table 8 may be a conversion rate between currencies as shown in FIG.
[0036]
The electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 has a card-side settlement means 9 for reducing the balance in response to a settlement instruction from the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 and a currency balance table 10 storing the balance of each currency. I have. The electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 can transmit / receive data to / from the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 by contact or non-contact. A known method is used for the method of transmitting and receiving the data. For example, in non-contact data transmission / reception, an electromagnetic wave is emitted from a multilateral electronic currency system, and an electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 having an antenna therein is brought close to the electromagnetic wave, whereby electric power is transmitted based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The storage device 2 may be used to transmit and receive data between the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 and the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1. For example, an ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) card Data transmission / reception may be performed in a contact type like a reader. The electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is preferably an IC card having an IC chip, but is not limited to the form on the card.
[0037]
The card-side settlement unit 9 is a unit that receives a settlement instruction in a specific currency and the settlement amount from the system-side settlement unit 4 and reduces (settlement) the settlement amount in a specific currency from the currency balance table 10. It is also means for transmitting the settled amount to the system-side settlement means 4.
[0038]
For example, if the balance of Japanese yen in the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is 10,000 yen and the customer holding the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 purchases a goods service of 1,000 yen, the system-side settlement means When the settlement instruction of 4 to 1,000 yen is received, the card-side settlement means 9 reduces the balance of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 by 1,000 yen to 9,000 yen. In addition, it is transmitted to the system-side settlement means 4 together with the fact that the deducted amount of 1,000 yen has been settled.
[0039]
The currency balance table 10 is a table that stores a balance of each currency of each country of a customer holding the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2. The conceptual diagram is shown in FIG.
[0040]
【Example】
Next, an example of the process flow of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the flowchart of FIG. In this embodiment, the case where the local currency is Japanese yen and the other countries are US dollars, euros, British pounds, and Swiss francs will be described. . In addition, the currency is not limited to these five major currencies, but may be currency of any number of countries. Further, the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 has a balance of 3,000 yen in Japanese yen, 50 dollars in US dollars, 50 euros in euros, 50 pounds in British pounds, and 100 Swiss francs in Swiss francs. You have it. Further, in this embodiment, the case where the system-side settlement means 4 performs settlement with currency priority will be described, and it is assumed that local currency (Japanese yen), US dollar, euro, British pound and Swiss franc are priorities. Of course, setting of these priorities is optional. This priority may be stored in advance in the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 or may be received from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 by the system-side payment means 4 at the time of payment. The customer or the clerk may input the priority in response to the request of the customer, and the input of the priority may be received by the system-side settlement unit 4. In this embodiment, the case where the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 is stored in advance in the conversion table 8 will be described.
[0041]
The clerk of the store where the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 is installed has a predetermined national currency (in the present embodiment, US dollar, euro, British pound, Swiss franc) and a local currency (in this embodiment, Japan). The conversion rate is input by the conversion rate input receiving means 6 and stored in the conversion table 8 (S100). This operation may be performed every day at a predetermined time, weekly, several times a day, or in real time.
[0042]
Further, the conversion rate may be automatically acquired at a predetermined time by making the conversion rate input receiving means 6 connectable to a network such as the Internet instead of performing the input by the clerk.
[0043]
For example, if the conversion rates for a certain day are 116.01 dollars, 117.45 euros, 182.63 pounds, and 80.07 yen, Swiss francs are converted into conversion tables. 8 will be stored. This case is shown in FIG. In the case of the conversion table 8 storing exchange rates between currencies shown in FIG. 4B, the input of the exchange rate between currencies is accepted and stored in the conversion table 8.
[0044]
The clerk inputs the settlement amount, and accepts it by the settlement amount input accepting means 3. In this embodiment, a case where the settlement amount is 10,000 yen will be described. These may be received at a cash register or a POS system usually installed in a store, or may be received by reading a barcode attached to the article with a barcode reader.
[0045]
When the customer holding the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 makes a payment at the store as a consideration for the goods service, the fact is offered at a cash register (S110), and the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is presented. The store clerk or customer makes the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 contact or non-contact with the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1 to enable data transmission / reception (S120).
[0046]
The system-side settlement means 4 receives the settlement amount accepted by the settlement amount input accepting means 3 and transmits and receives data to and from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 by contact or non-contact, thereby making the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 , The settlement instruction in the local currency for the settlement amount is transmitted (S130).
[0047]
The card-side settlement means 9 of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 that has received the settlement instruction of the settlement amount in the local currency confirms the balance of the settlement amount in the local currency from the currency balance table 10 and performs settlement in the local currency. (S140). That is, the settlement instruction in Japanese yen and the settlement amount of 10,000 yen are received from the system-side settlement means 4, and the settlement amount is subtracted from the currency balance table 10. However, in the case of the present embodiment, the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 has only a balance of 3,000 yen in Japanese yen, so the amount of 3,000 yen is reduced (the balance of the Japanese yen in the currency balance table 10 is 0 yen). ), The amount of 3,000 yen settled in Japanese yen is transmitted to the system-side settlement means 4.
[0048]
The system-side settlement means 4 receives the amount of 3,000 yen settled in the local currency from the card-side settlement means 9 of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2, and stores the amount of 3,000 yen in the sales table 7. That is, a sales of 3,000 yen is added. Further, the system-side settlement means 4 determines whether there is an unsettled amount after receiving the amount settled in Japanese yen (S150). If there is no unsettled amount, the process is terminated as it is, and if there is an unsettled amount, the processes after S160 are executed. In the case of the present embodiment, since the unsettled amount is 7,000 yen, the unsettled amount 7,000 yen is transmitted to the conversion means 5 to be converted into another country's currency.
[0049]
The conversion unit 5 receives the unsettled amount from the system-side settlement unit 4, and converts the unsettled amount into another country's currency based on the conversion rate stored in the conversion table 8 (S160). That is, since the unsettled amount is 7,000 yen in this embodiment, the conversion rate in the above example is US $ 60, 34 cents when converted to US dollars, 59 euro 60 cents, when converted to euros, and UK It is converted into 38 pounds and 33 pence when converted into pounds and into 87 Swiss francs and 42 centimes when converted into Swiss francs, and transmitted to the system-side settlement means 4. At the time of this conversion, only the conversion of the currency with the highest priority may be performed (currency priority), or the conversion of all other currencies may be performed (balance priority). In the case of this embodiment, the former case (currency priority) will be described. Accordingly, the conversion means 5 converts the US dollar into the US dollar which has the highest priority after the Japanese yen, and converts the Japanese yen 7,000 yen into the US dollar 60 dollars and 34 cents.
[0050]
The system-side settlement means 4 sends the settlement instruction in the other currency in the unsettled amount converted into the other currency to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 again, and performs the settlement in the other currency. That is, in this case, the system-side payment means 4 sends a payment instruction of US $ 60.34 cents to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2.
[0051]
The card-side settlement means 9 of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 that has received the settlement instruction in the other currency of the settlement amount confirms the balance of the settlement amount in the other currency (US dollar in this case) from the currency balance table 10. (S170), settlement is performed in another currency of the unsettled amount (S180). That is, in this case, the card-side payment means 9 receives the payment instruction of the unsettled amount of $ 60 and 34 cents from the system-side payment means 4, and subtracts the payment amount from the currency balance table 10. However, since the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 has only US $ 50, the US $ balance is reduced by 50 (therefore, the US $ balance in the currency balance table 10 is $ 0), and the amount settled in US $ 50 is US $ 50. Is transmitted to the system-side settlement means 4.
[0052]
The system-side settlement unit 4 receives the amount of $ 50 settled in US dollars from the card-side settlement unit 9 of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 and stores the amount in the sales table 7. That is, $ 50 of sales is added. Further, after receiving the amount settled in US dollars, the system-side settlement means 4 determines whether there is an unsettled amount (S150). If there is no unsettled amount, the process is terminated as it is, and if there is an unsettled amount, the processes after S160 are executed. In the case of this embodiment, the already settled amounts are 3,000 yen and $ 50, and there is an unsettled amount of US $ 10.34 cents. Convert to other currencies other than yen and US dollar.
[0053]
The conversion unit 5 receives the unsettled amount from the system-side settlement unit 4, and converts the unsettled amount into another country's currency based on the conversion rate stored in the conversion table 8 (S160). In this case, the foreign currency (US dollar) may be once converted to the local currency (Japanese yen) and then converted to another currency (euro, British pound, Swiss franc) other than the foreign currency. When a direct conversion rate between the currencies of the respective countries is stored as in the conversion table 8 shown in b), it is also possible to directly convert the settled other currency into another currency other than the different currency.
[0054]
When the conversion table 8 shown in FIG. 4A is used, the unsettled amount of $ 10.34 is converted into Japanese yen 1200 yen, and the US is converted into Euro, which has the highest priority next to US dollar, and 10 Euro 22 cents. .
[0055]
When the conversion table 8 shown in FIG. 4B is used, the unsettled amount of $ 10.34 is directly converted into the euro having the highest priority next to the US dollar, and is converted into 10 euros 47 cents. Here, there is an error of 25 cents between the case of direct conversion and the case of returning to Japanese yen once and then converting to another currency again. Since it is a matter of how much below the minimum unit of money (yen, cent, pence, centime) is rounded down, rounded up, and rounded off (that is, a problem of error theory) and not an essential problem, it is described herein. I will not mention it.
[0056]
The rate converted by the conversion means 5, that is, 10 euros 22 cents or 10 euros 47 cents, is transmitted to the system-side settlement means 4. Receiving this, the system-side settlement means 4 transmits again the settlement instruction in the other currency, which is the unsettled amount converted into the other currency, to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2, and performs settlement in the other currency. That is, in this case, the system-side settlement means 4 sends a settlement instruction of 10 euros 22 cents or 10 euros 47 cents to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2.
[0057]
The card-side settlement means 9 of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 which has received the settlement instruction in the other currency of the settlement amount confirms the balance of the settlement amount in the other currency (in this case, euro) from the currency balance table 10 ( (S170), the settlement is performed in the other currency of the unsettled amount (S180). That is, in this case, the card-side payment means 9 receives a payment instruction of the unsettled amount of 10 euro 22 cents or 10 euro 47 cents from the system-side payment means 4, and subtracts the payment amount from the currency balance table 10. Accordingly, the card-side settlement means 9 sets the euro balance in the currency balance table 10 to 39 euros 78 cents or 39 euros 53 cents, and transmits the settled amount of 10 euros 22 cents or 10 euros 47 cents to the system-side settlement means 4. I do.
[0058]
The system-side settlement means 4 receives from the card-side settlement means 9 of the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 an amount of 10 euros 22 cents or 10 euros 47 cents settled in the currency of another country (in this case, euro). Euro 22 cents or 10 euros 47 cents is stored in the sales table 7. In other words, sales of 10 euros 22 cents or 10 euros 47 cents will be added. After receiving the amount settled in euro, the system-side settlement unit 4 determines whether there is an unsettled amount (S150). In this case, since all settlements have been completed, that is, there is no unsettled amount, the process is terminated, and the settlement is completed.
[0059]
FIG. 3 shows the sales table 7 before performing the above-described process, and FIG. 5 shows the currency balance table 10 before performing the process. The sales table 7 and the currency after the process (that is, after sales have been added) FIGS. 6A and 6B are conceptual diagrams of the balance table 10.
[0060]
Also, as a result of repeating S150 to S180, if there is an unsettled amount even if settlement is made in all or some currencies (that is, if all or some currency balances in the currency balance table 10 are 0 or a predetermined balance) ), Or if payment in another currency is not to be performed (ie, if an instruction to cancel payment has been received), the unsettled amount may be transferred to another method, such as cash, check, credit card, etc. Payment is made by the payment means (S190).
[0061]
If the system-side settlement means 4 performs the balance-priority method in S130 to S180, the conversion means 5 converts the unsettled amount into all or a part of the currency, and converts this into an electronic wallet / currency. By transmitting to the storage device 2, the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is settled in a currency that can be settled (that is, a currency with a large settlement amount), and the amount settled from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is received. The received amount is stored in the sales table 7, and if there is an unsettled amount, the unsettled amount is transmitted to the conversion means 5 so that the unsettled amount is converted into all or a part of currency other than the settled amount. It is transmitted to the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 again, and the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 is settled in a currency that can be settled (that is, a currency having a large settlement amount), and the amount settled from the electronic wallet / currency storage device 2 Received and received And stores the amount in the sales table 7. This process is repeated until there is no unsettled amount, or until all or a part of the currency balance in the currency balance table 10 becomes 0 or a predetermined balance.
[0062]
In the case of performing settlement in another country's currency, the sales clerk can provide the customer with the other country's currency by a method such as displaying the conversion rate and the settlement amount in the other country's currency on the display of the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system 1. The confirmation of the settlement intention as to whether or not to make the settlement may be performed. If the customer does not want to settle in another country's currency, the settlement is made in S190 by another method.
[0063]
Further, in this specification, an example is described in which the local currency is processed first, and the unsettled amount of the local currency is settled in a currency of another country in a currency-first or balance-first manner, but the local currency is processed first. You don't have to. That is, the order of settlement may be arbitrarily changed by arbitrarily setting the priority between the local currency and the foreign currency and lowering the priority of the local currency.
[0064]
The means and tables in the present invention are only logically distinguished in function, and may physically or virtually have the same area. Needless to say, a data file may be used instead of a table, and the description of a table includes a data file.
[0065]
In carrying out the present invention, a storage medium storing a software program for realizing the functions of the present embodiment is supplied to the system, and the system computer is realized by reading and executing the program stored in the storage medium. It's natural.
[0066]
In this case, the program itself read from the storage medium realizes the functions of the above-described embodiment, and the storage medium storing the program naturally constitutes the present invention.
[0067]
As a storage medium for supplying the program, for example, a magnetic disk, a hard disk, an optical disk, a magneto-optical disk, a magnetic tape, a nonvolatile memory card, or the like can be used.
[0068]
When the computer executes the readout program, not only the functions of the above-described embodiments are realized, but also the operating system or the like running on the computer executes one of the actual processing based on the instructions of the program. It goes without saying that a case may be included in which the functions of the above-described embodiments are implemented by performing all or part of the processes.
[0069]
Further, after the program read from the storage medium is written into a nonvolatile or volatile storage means provided in a function expansion board inserted into the computer or a function expansion unit connected to the computer, the program is read by an instruction of the program. On the basis of this, it goes without saying that a case is also included in which the arithmetic processing device or the like provided in the function expansion board or the function expansion unit performs part or all of the actual processing, and the processing realizes the functions of the above-described embodiments.
[0070]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, it is possible to settle electronic currencies between a plurality of countries, and even if a customer has a shortage of local currency in an electronic wallet / currency storage device, the user can settle electronic currency in another country with a balance. And convenience is improved.
[0071]
Also, when converting currencies in other countries, the clerk or customer only needs to contact or contact the electronic wallet / currency storage device operation system in order to automatically settle based on the conversion rate.
