出願人は、防犯レンズのトップメーカーとして、防犯レンズの改良を重ねており、特願平11−108273号(特開2000−297583号公報)において、室外側からの取外しを防止する回止機構を備えた防犯レンズを提案している。

このような防犯レンズを製品化するに当たり、出願人は次のような問題点を認識するに至った。
その1つは、ホテル等の客室ドアに取付けられた防犯レンズが、宿泊客等によって客室の室内側から取り外されるという不測の自体が生じたことである。
その2は、万が一、室外側から強力な外力が加えられた場合、前記回止機構が破壊される恐れがあることである。

そこで、本願発明は、上記課題を解決することができる防犯レンズを提供することを目的とする。
