Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal with a camera which can open or close a lens cover without bringing into contact with the cover.
SOLUTION: The portable terminal with the camera includes the lens cover 12 with which a lens 2 and a mirror 3 of the camera are covered, and an opening/closing drive mechanism 13 for exposing the lens 2 and the mirror 3 to move the lens cover 12 substantially in parallel with the surface on which the lens 2 and the mirror 3 are disposed. Thus, since the cover 12 is moved without bringing into contact with the cover 12, the beauty of the terminal with the camera can be improved by limiting the size of the cover 12 to the minimum limit. Since the cover 12 is moved without bringing into contact with the cover 12, it prevents a finger from being brought into contact with the lens 2 disposed at substantially the same position as the cover 12 by mistake, and possibility of soiling the lens 2 can be eliminated.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO

Description

【0001】
【0036】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a camera-equipped mobile terminal provided with a camera lens cover.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, some small-sized mobile terminals such as mobile phones and PHSs (simplified mobile phones) have a camera provided in the main body of the mobile terminal so that a camera can be photographed when desired. A mobile terminal equipped with a camera includes a slide groove formed in the mobile terminal body so as to be located near the lens, and a lens cover movable along the slide groove. By manually sliding the lens cover directly to expose the lens to enable shooting, and when not using the camera, manually sliding the lens cover directly in the opposite direction to cover the lens The lens is protected.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, if the lens cover is manually opened and closed manually when the camera is used, there is a problem that an area to be pressed by a finger is required for the lens cover, so that the area of the lens cover becomes large and the appearance is reduced. In addition, since the lens cover is moved by pressing it with a finger, the finger may erroneously come into contact with the lens located substantially at the same position as the lens cover, and the lens may be soiled.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has as its object to provide a mobile terminal with a camera that can open and close a lens cover without touching the lens cover.
[0005]

Thus, the risk of soiling the lens can be more reliably eliminated.
[0019]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0020]
1 to 7 show an example of an embodiment of the present invention.
[0021]
The camera-equipped mobile terminal 1 of the present invention is a foldable type including a housing display unit 5 having a screen display unit 4 together with a lens 2 and a mirror 3 of a camera, and a housing operation unit 7 having input keys 6. The lens 2 and the mirror 3 provided on the display unit 5 are provided on the surface of a single installation panel 8 so as to be adjacent to each other, and the installation panel 8 is sandwiched between the outer case 9 and the inner case 10 of the housing display unit 5. As a result, the lens 2 and the mirror 3 are exposed to the outside by being arranged inside the housing display unit 5 and forming a predetermined open window 11 in the outer case 9. Here, the mirror 3 is for confirming in what state the self is photographed when the camera itself is photographed.
[0022]
The installation panel 8 is provided with a lens cover 12 which is slightly larger than the open window 11 of the outer case 9 so that the lens 2 and the mirror 3 can be covered inside the housing display unit 5. The opening and closing drive mechanism 13 is connected to the opening and closing drive mechanism 13 so as to move substantially in parallel with the surface of the installation board 8 provided. The opening / closing drive mechanism 13 engages with the arrangement member 14 having a predetermined length to be the base of the lens cover 12 via the rotary connection shaft 15, and the rotation support shaft 16 of the installation plate 8 allows the installation plate 8 to be mounted. A first arm portion 17 formed so as to be able to swing on the surface of the mounting plate 8, and connected to the rotation support shaft 16 on the back surface of the installation plate 8 so as to swing in conjunction with the first arm portion 17, and A second arm portion 19 having a convex portion 18 extending outward to the side of the mounting panel 8 and projecting upward at a lateral external position of the installation panel 8, and an extension portion 20 provided in contact with the convex portion 18. And a spring 22 supported by the back support 21 of the board 8. Here, the first arm 17 has the rotation connection shaft 15 arranged at one end and the rotation support shaft 16 arranged at the other end, and the second arm 19 has the rotation support shaft 16 arranged at one end and The protrusion 18 is arranged at the other end. The first arm 17 and the second arm 19 are arranged substantially linearly via the rotation support shaft 16, and the length of the first arm 17 is When the first arm 17 and the second arm 19 are swung so that the rotation support shaft 16 is used as a fulcrum, the first arm 17 and the second arm 19 rotate with respect to the amount of movement of the projection 18. The moving amount of the connection shaft 15 is configured to be large.
[0023]
On the other hand, a halfway position of the installation panel 8 is provided with a convex upper stop guide portion 23 that abuts on the arrangement member 14 and stops the lens cover 12 at a predetermined position covering the lens 2 and the mirror 3. Is provided with a convex lower stop guide portion 24 for stopping the moved lens cover 12 at a position where the lens 2 and the mirror 3 are exposed, and the lens cover 12 moves to the side of the installation board 8. In this case, a convex control guide 25 is formed along the moving direction of the lens cover 12 so that the end of the arrangement member 14 comes into contact with the lens to control the moving posture of the lens cover 12. Further, the outer case 9 sandwiching the installation board 8 is provided with a sponge case-side stop guide portion 26 which comes into contact with the lens cover 12 and stops the lens cover 12 at a position covering the lens 2 and the mirror 3. . Here, the case-side stop guide 26 made of sponge is provided with a vibration sound (so-called chattering sound) of the lens cover 12 generated by vibration of a vibrating body (so-called incoming call notification vibrator, not shown) when the portable terminal 1 with a camera receives a call. It is preferable to use an elastic body that is effective in preventing vibration from sponge, rubber, or the like as the material of the stop guide member for preventing vibration noise.
[0024]
An opening / closing operation section 27 for swinging the second arm section 19 is connected to the projection 18 of the second arm section 19, and an opening / closing operation section 27 is connected to an interlocking member 28 that sandwiches and connects the projection 18. An opening / closing knob 29 extending from the interlocking member 28 and slidably disposed on the side outer surface of the housing display unit 5; and an opening / closing knob 29 which contacts the protrusion 30 formed on the installation panel 8 and the interlocking member. And a control member 31 extending from the interlocking member 28 so as to restrict the movement of the control member 28 in a predetermined direction.
[0025]
The spring 22 supported by the back support 21 of the installation panel 8 forms a bending point 20c so as to divide the extension 20 into a closed extension 20a and an open extension 20b. When the convex portion 18 of the portion 19 exceeds the bending point 20c, the elasticity of the spring 22 causes the convex portion 18 to be overloaded in a predetermined moving direction. Here, the angle of the bending point 20c that divides the extending portion 20 into the closing-side extending portion 20a and the opening-side extending portion 20b optimizes the elastic force of the spring 22 acting on the convex portion 18.
[0026]
Hereinafter, the operation of the embodiment with the camera-equipped mobile terminal of the present invention will be described.
[0027]
When using the camera of the camera-equipped mobile terminal 1, first, the folded housing display unit 5 and the housing operation unit 7 are opened, and the opening / closing knob 29 of the opening / closing operation unit 27 is manually slid to the opening side. As a result, the second arm portion 19 and the first arm portion 17 swing through the interlocking member 28 and the convex portion 18, and furthermore, the lens arm cover swings through the arrangement member 14 by swinging the first arm portion 17. The lens 12 and the mirror 3 are exposed by moving the knob 12 to the side opposite to the slide of the opening / closing knob 29. At the same time, in conjunction with moving the open / close knob 29 to the open side, an internal program circuit (not shown) switches from an incoming call waiting mode in a state of waiting for communication such as a telephone to a camera mode in which photographing is enabled. When the lens 2 is pointed at the object to be photographed and the center key 6a serving as a shutter button is pressed, photographing can be performed. Here, when the opening / closing knob 29 of the opening / closing operation section 27 is manually slid to the opening side, the projection 18 slides on the closing side extension 20a of the spring 22 and the moving position of the projection 18 is bent. When the point 20c is exceeded, the convex portion 18 is slid toward the end of the open-side extending portion 20b by the elastic force of the spring 22, and the second arm portion 19, the first arm portion 17, and the lens cover 12 are completely moved. It is overloaded to the open side. If the sliding of the opening / closing knob 29 is stopped at a time when the moving position of the convex portion 18 does not exceed the bending point 20 c, the convex portion 18 reverses the closing side extending portion 20 a of the spring 22 by the elastic force of the spring 22. The second arm 19, the first arm 17, and the lens cover 12 return to the fully closed side via the protrusion 18.
[0028]
When the camera of the camera-equipped mobile terminal 1 is not used, the opening / closing knob 29 of the opening / closing operation section 27 is manually slid to the closing side, so that the second arm section 19 via the interlocking member 28 and the convex section 18. And swing the first arm 17 in the opposite direction, and further move the lens cover 12 to the opposite side of the opening / closing knob 29 via the disposing member 14 by swinging the first arm 17 in the opposite direction, The opening window 11 is closed and the lens 2 and the mirror 3 are covered. At the same time, in conjunction with the movement of the lens cover 12 to the closing side, an internal program circuit (not shown) switches from a camera mode for enabling photographing to an incoming call waiting mode for waiting for communication such as telephone. So that communication equipment such as a telephone can be used. When all the operations are to be completed, the housing display unit 5 and the housing operation unit 7 are folded. Here, when the opening / closing knob 29 of the opening / closing operation portion 27 is manually slid to the closing side, the convex portion 18 slides on the open side extending portion 20b of the spring 22, and the moving position of the convex portion 18 is bent. When the point 20c is exceeded, the convex portion 18 is slid toward the end of the closing-side extending portion 20a by the elastic force of the spring 22, and the second arm portion 19, the first arm portion 17, and the lens cover 12 are completely moved. Afterward to the closing side. If the sliding of the opening / closing knob 29 is stopped at a time when the moving position of the convex portion 18 does not exceed the bending point 20c, the convex portion 18 reverses the open side extension portion 20b of the spring 22 by the elastic force of the spring 22. The second arm 19, the first arm 17, and the lens cover 12 return to the fully open side via the protrusion 18.
[0029]
As described above, according to the camera-equipped mobile terminal 1, the lens cover 12 is moved substantially in parallel without touching the lens cover 12 by the opening / closing drive mechanism 13. Aesthetic appearance can be improved. In addition, since the lens cover 12 is moved without touching the lens cover 12, it is possible to prevent a finger from accidentally coming into contact with the lens 2 and the mirror 3 located substantially at the same position as the lens cover 12, and to contaminate the lens 2 and the mirror 3. The fear can be eliminated.
[0030]
When an opening / closing operation unit 27 is engaged with the second arm unit 19 and the opening / closing knob 29 of the opening / closing operation unit 27 is manually moved, the second arm is manually slid. Since the lens cover 12 is moved via the portion 19 and the first arm 17, the movement of the lens cover 12 can be performed with a simple configuration, and as a result, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
[0031]
The rotation support shaft 16 that supports the first arm portion 17 and the second arm portion 19 is disposed near the opening / closing operation portion 27, and the rotation connection shaft 15 and the rotation connection shaft 15 When the moving amount of the lens cover 12 is increased, the lens cover 12 is largely moved by slightly moving the opening / closing operation unit 27. Therefore, the moving range of the opening / closing operation unit 27 is reduced to move the opening / closing operation unit 27. Can be reduced, and the overall appearance can be further improved. Further, since the lens cover 12 can be opened and closed by slightly moving the opening / closing operation unit 27, it is possible to prevent a finger from accidentally coming into contact with the lens 2 and the mirror 3 and to surely prevent the lens 2 and the mirror 3 from being stained. Can be eliminated.
[0032]
When the lens cover 12 includes an upper stop guide 23, a case-side stop guide 26, and a lower stop guide 24 for stopping the lens cover 12 at a predetermined position, and a control guide 25 for controlling the movement of the lens cover 12, the lens cover 12 Since the lens cover 12 is prevented from being stopped at an incorrect position, and the lens cover 12 is prevented from being erroneously operated, the lens cover 12 can be reliably opened and closed.
[0033]
A projection 18 protruding from the second arm 19 and a spring 22 forming an extension 20 so as to be in contact with the projection 18 are provided. And the open side extending portion 20b are formed to form a bending point 20c. When the convex portion 18 exceeds the bending point 20c, the opening / closing operation portion 27, the second arm portion 19, and the first arm portion 17 are overstressed. With this configuration, the spring 22 overstresses the opening / closing operation portion 27, the second arm portion 19, and the first arm portion 17 to the fully open side or the fully closed side when the convex portion 18 exceeds the bending point 20c. Therefore, the movement of the opening / closing operation section 27 and the opening / closing of the lens cover 12 can be easily performed. When the projection 18 exceeds the bending point 20 c of the spring 22, the lens cover 12 can be opened and closed by the force of the spring 22 by slightly moving the opening and closing operation unit 27. It is possible to prevent a finger from being inadvertently contacted, and to more reliably eliminate the possibility of soiling the lens 2 and the mirror 3.
[0034]
An opening / closing drive mechanism 13 for moving the lens cover 12 covering the lens 2 of the camera to expose the lens 2 includes a first arm 17 supported by the rotation support shaft 16 and engaged with the lens cover 12, The spring 22 includes a convex portion 18 protruding from the arm portion 19, a spring 22 forming an extending portion 20 in contact with the convex portion 18, and an opening / closing operation portion 27 engaged with the second arm portion 19. Is formed with a bending point 20c so as to divide the extending portion 20 into a closed-side extending portion 20a and an opening-side extending portion 20b. When the convex portion 18 exceeds the bending point 20c, the opening / closing operation portion 27, the second When the arm portion 19 and the first arm portion 17 are configured to be overstressed, the spring 22 causes the opening / closing operation portion 27, the second arm portion 19, and the first arm portion 19 to move beyond the bending point 20c. A Since impetus the arm portion 17 to the fully open side or total closing side can be opened and closed for movement and the lens cover 12 of the opening and closing operation unit 27 easily.
[0035]
Note that the camera-equipped mobile terminal of the present invention is not limited to the illustrated example described above, and may be driven electrically instead of manually driving the opening / closing drive mechanism. It goes without saying that various changes can be made without departing from the gist of the invention.
