Abstract
Description
【0001】
【0024】
メモリ5は、書き換え可能な半導体素子で構成されるRAM(Random Access Memory)、不揮発性の半導体メモリで構成されるROM(Read Only Memory)等から構成される。

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a photographing device including a display unit.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Recently, along with the enhancement of functions of digital cameras, a data display unit for displaying information on a shooting operation including a shooting mode, an image quality mode, a remaining battery capacity, the number of remaining frames, and the like on a device main body, and a CCD (Charge Coupled Device). 2. Description of the Related Art There is known a digital camera including a color liquid crystal display unit that displays digital image data of a captured image obtained by the above method. On the other hand, recent digital cameras are desired to be reduced in size, weight, and thickness in order to improve portability. Therefore, recently, only the color liquid crystal display section is provided in the main body of the apparatus, and the information regarding the photographing operation and the image data of the subject are displayed on the color liquid crystal display section, thereby reducing the size, weight and thickness of the housing. Has been realized.
[0003]
Since the above-described color liquid crystal display unit includes, for example, a backlight having a large driving current, when the color liquid crystal display unit is driven, a large amount of batteries provided in the digital camera is consumed. The battery included in a digital camera is configured with the minimum necessary capacity to realize a compact housing. If the color liquid crystal display is driven for a long time, there is not enough power for shooting. There was a case. Therefore, the remaining capacity of the battery built into the digital camera is detected, and when the remaining capacity of the battery falls below a predetermined value, the driving of the color liquid crystal display unit is forcibly inhibited and the power is supplied to the photographing function. As a result, digital cameras capable of shooting even when the remaining battery capacity is low have been developed.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described digital camera, when the remaining capacity of the battery becomes equal to or less than a predetermined value, the display of the color liquid crystal display unit is turned off, so that the remaining capacity of the battery further decreases, and a shooting operation cannot be performed. In such a case, there is a problem that there is no means for notifying the user that the photographing operation cannot be performed due to a decrease in the remaining capacity of the battery.
[0005]
An object of the present invention is to provide a photographing device that notifies a user that a time to replace a battery has come when the remaining capacity of the battery falls below a predetermined value after a display unit is turned off to save power. It is to be.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the invention according to
A photographing apparatus including a display unit that displays image data of a subject and information about a photographing operation,
Remaining capacity detection means for detecting the remaining capacity of the battery that supplies power to the display means,
Storage means for storing the first set value and the second set value;
Determining means for determining whether the remaining capacity of the battery detected by the remaining capacity detecting means is equal to or less than a first set value or equal to or less than a second set value;
When the remaining capacity of the battery is determined to be less than or equal to a first set value by the determining means, control is performed so that power is not supplied to the display means, and the remaining capacity of the battery is set to a second set value. Control means for performing control to supply power to the display means when it is determined that:
It is characterized by having.
[0007]
Therefore, even when the remaining capacity of the battery that supplies power to the display unit provided in the photographing device becomes equal to or less than the first set value and power is not supplied to the display unit, the battery is further consumed and the battery is discharged. When the remaining capacity becomes equal to or less than the second set value, by supplying power to the display means, the display means can be forcibly driven to warn that the remaining capacity of the battery is almost zero.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the photographing apparatus according to the first aspect,
The first set value stored in the storage unit is larger than the second set value.
[0009]
Therefore, for example, by setting the first set value to the remaining battery level enough to perform the shooting operation, when the remaining battery level is low, the battery consumption is reduced, and the shooting operation is performed efficiently. You can do so.
