Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a sheet having a copy protection function, particularly to a copy protection sheet suitably used as a thermal transfer ink ribbon or a pressure-sensitive transfer tape. The present invention also relates to a copy protection tape transfer device using the sheet having the copy protection function as a transfer tape.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, with the spread of electronic copiers and the improvement in performance, problems such as leakage of confidential information due to copying of confidential documents and counterfeiting / exercising due to copying of securities have frequently occurred. To prevent this, various copy protection technologies have been developed.
[0003]
Conventional copy protection technologies are generally based on (1) a technical concept of providing a print medium with a copy protection function, and (2) a metal film on a print medium after printing a predetermined character or image. It can be roughly classified into a film having a copy protection function by laminating a film formed by vapor deposition or the like.
[0004]
(1) is to provide a print medium in which a special metal film such as a metal foil or a metal vapor-deposited film is formed on a printing base material such as a colored transparent film, whereby the printing surface has a glossy surface (mirror surface). Even if an attempt is made to copy the printed medium, the light source light of the copying machine is specularly reflected and the whole becomes black, and printed characters and the like cannot be discriminated. Conventional technologies belonging to this type include JP-A-63-71875, JP-A-64-42678, JP-A-64-80980, JP-A-3-27477, JP-A-4-141497, and JP-A-7-141. JP-A Nos. 52593, 10-850 and the like can be mentioned.
[0005]
Examples of the prior art belonging to (2) include those described in JP-A-55-96973, JP-A-62-42893, JP-A-4-290741 and JP-A-6-48528. .
[0006]
Further, as another copy prevention technology, there is (3) a technology in which a lens screen having a plurality of lenses is attached to a print medium after printing to provide a copy prevention function (Japanese Patent No. 3173791).
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the case of the type (1), since the print medium itself has a copy protection function, it is necessary to determine whether or not the copy protection should be performed at the time of printing (at the time of document creation). If the need arises, it cannot be dealt with.
[0008]
At present, various types of printers, such as laser printers, ink jet printers, and thermal transfer printers, are used.It is also possible to use a plurality of printers having different mechanisms in a single office as needed. However, according to this type, depending on the material of the metal layer formed on the base material, compatibility with a specific printer may be poor, and the versatility to the printer is lacking.
[0009]
Further, since the print medium itself has a copy protection function, it is basically impossible to prohibit copying only a part of a text or the like printed on one print medium.
[0010]
Furthermore, regardless of whether or not it has a copy protection function, the ability to clearly read printed characters and images is an essential requirement as a print medium, but this type has a mirror-finished print surface. Therefore, there is a fatal drawback that the original manuscript is very difficult to see.
[0011]
The type (2) involves laminating a metal film on a substrate after printing, so that some of the above-mentioned problems of the type (1) do not pose a problem in this type. That is, if the need for copy protection arises after printing, a metal film may be laminated at that point, and a general-purpose base material can be used as a printing medium, so that a printer is not selected. Regarding partial copy protection, in this type, it is only necessary to cut the metal film according to the area where copy protection is to be performed and then stick it, but since it involves cumbersome manual work, it is a practically effective countermeasure. Is hard to say.
[0012]
A major problem of this type is that the film has a certain thickness in consideration of the workability when the film is attached to the substrate after printing (for example, in the above-mentioned Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 4-290741 in the examples). The thickness of the plastic film used is required to be 3 to 250 μm, preferably 12 to 50 μm (paragraph 0010), and the printed matter after the film is adhered is obtained by adding the film thickness to the base material thickness. It has a considerable thickness, and the storage efficiency during storage is greatly reduced.
[0013]
Since the type (3) requires the use of a film having a plurality of lenses, the production cost is high, and such a film must be thicker than the type (2). However, there is a problem that the storage efficiency during storage is further reduced.
[0014]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-described problems of the related arts, and in particular, has developed a novel copy protection technique that can cope with partial copy protection and that is excellent in storage and storage efficiency of copy-protected documents. The purpose is to provide.

[0024]
The substrate 11 is not particularly limited as long as it is a material that withstands heating of a thermal head or a hot stamping machine at the time of thermal transfer printing and has desired thermal conductivity and physical strength. Known materials used for the thermal transfer ink ribbon and the like can be used. For example, plastic films such as polyethylene terephthalate, polyester, polypropylene, polystyrene, cellulose acetate, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, and polyimide; papers such as condenser paper, cellophane paper, and paraffin paper; and nonwoven fabrics can be used. Alternatively, a laminate obtained by combining these in consideration of properties such as thermal conductivity may be used.
[0025]
The thickness of the base material 11 depends on the material, but is generally about 2 to 25 μm when used as a thermal transfer ink ribbon, and is easy to handle at the time of hot stamping and after adhesion when used as a thermal transfer sheet. It is preferable that the base material has an appropriate thickness and stiffness from the viewpoint of the ease of the work of peeling the base material, and is generally about 20 to 250 μm.
[0026]
As the release layer 12, a hot-melt resin such as carnauba wax, rice wax, candelilla wax, montan wax, paraffin wax, and thermoplastic resin can be used alone or in any combination.

FIG. 9 shows an embodiment in which the pressure-sensitive transfer sheet according to the present invention is configured as a pressure-sensitive transfer tape that is accommodated in a transfer tool. Here, the transfer tool is a state in which the pressure-sensitive transfer tape is wound around a pair of rotatable reels, and is accommodated in the case such that a part of the transfer tape is exposed from the front end opening of the case. It has a structure in which a pressing member for pressing the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the transfer tape against the printing surface is provided near the opening at the end of the case, and has recently become popular as a eraser using a correction tape as the transfer tape. However, the use of the pressure-sensitive transfer sheet of the present invention as a transfer tape in a similar configuration provides a simple use as a copy protection tool. The thickness of the substrate 21 in the case of a pressure-sensitive transfer tape for a transfer tool is preferably about 2 to 25 μm.

(9) Preparation and evaluation of manuscripts to be protected from copying
A character string was printed on postcard paper using the dedicated ink ribbon (black) with a business card / postcard dedicated thermal transfer printer MP-600 of Dynic Co., Ltd. to obtain a document for evaluation.
[0066]
In Example 1, Example 2, Comparative Example 1 and Comparative Example 2, the created thermal transfer ink ribbon for copy protection was applied to the above printer, and solid printing was performed on the character string portion of the original.
[0067]
In Example 3, Example 4, Comparative Example 3 and Comparative Example 4, the prepared pressure-sensitive transfer sheet was cut into the size of a postcard, and the release paper was peeled off and adhered to the original.
[0068]
Each sample thus prepared was copied with a copy machine (DocCenter 280 FS) of Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., and the copy protection function was evaluated.
[0069]
The evaluation results are as shown in the table of FIG. 10. In each of the embodiments of the present invention, the original after the copy protection processing is in a state where characters can be visually read, and when the copy is made, the original is crushed into a solid black. And the readability of the original manuscript was compatible with the copy protection function. However, in Comparative Examples 1 and 3 where the thickness of the aluminum vapor-deposited layer was 20 mm, Although the readability of the original manuscript is satisfied, the copy prevention function is insufficient, whereas the original manuscripts of Comparative Examples 2 and 4 in which the thickness of the aluminum vapor-deposited layer is 200 mm are sufficient although the copy prevention function is sufficient. It is difficult to read the original document, and it is impossible to achieve both the legibility of the original document and the copy protection function.
[0070]
【The invention's effect】
In the sheet of the present invention, a metal deposition layer is formed in a thickness range of 40 to 150 ° on one surface of a base material via a release layer, and further exerts an adhesive force on the metal deposition layer by heat and / or pressure. An adhesive layer is provided, and when the adhesive layer is heat- and / or pressure-sensitively bonded to the printed matter, the metal vapor-deposited layer and the adhesive layer are integrally separated from the release layer to form a metal layer. Since the printed layer is adhered to the printed material with the vapor-deposited layer facing the front side, even if an attempt is made to copy the printed material after attaching the sheet, the light of the light of the copying machine is specularly reflected on the metal-deposited layer and the whole becomes black and the printed characters Etc. cannot be determined.
[0071]
Also, since the portion to be attached to the printed matter is a relatively thin laminate on the opposite side of the base material via the release layer, the printed matter after the copy protection processing does not become excessively thick as in the related art. In addition, the storage efficiency is not significantly reduced.
[0072]
In addition, by using the sheet of the present invention as an ink ribbon for a thermal transfer printer or a pressure-sensitive transfer tape for a transfer tool, even when it is desired to prevent only a part of a printed material from being copied, this can be performed with a simple operation.
[0073]
Further, according to the present invention, it is possible to cope with a case where the need for copy protection arises after document creation.
