Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a flywheel having a friction surface with a clutch device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An example of a clutch device used for a power transmission system of a vehicle will be described with reference to FIG. Reference numeral 1 denotes a flywheel attached to a crankshaft 8 of the engine, and a

The clutch disc 4 is spline-fitted to the
[0004]
The flywheel 1 is cast, but in the case of a large vehicle such as a bus or a truck, if cooled as-cast, the structure of graphite becomes flake cast iron. In the case of flaky graphite cast iron, when thermal stress is generated due to frictional heat with the clutch disk 4, the stress concentration at the graphite tip becomes remarkable, and a thermal crack is easily generated. Therefore, in order to obtain spheroidal graphite cast iron, it is conceivable to add magnesium to the additive and cause a violent reaction if added alone. Spheroidal graphite cast iron has excellent mechanical properties, and it is difficult for the flywheel 1 to generate thermal cracks due to frictional heat with the clutch disk 4, but on the other hand, has low thermal conductivity and cannot provide sufficient heat dissipation performance. There is a concern that clutch performance may be impaired.
[0005]
In order to improve this point, there is disclosed a structure in which a flywheel is formed from two types of cast irons having different structures such as the shape and distribution of graphite (see JP-A-9-42378). The flywheel is composed of a worm-like graphite cast iron wheel body and a flaky graphite cast iron radiator. Caterpillar graphite cast iron contains Mg in a weight ratio of 0.005 to 0.02%, and has a structure in which graphite is scattered like caterpillars, and is positioned between flake graphite cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron. It is something that can be done. In other words, it has the property that the stress concentration at the graphite tip is less relieved than flaky graphite cast iron and has better thermal conductivity than spheroidal graphite cast iron.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
It is an object of the present invention to provide a flywheel which is excellent in heat dissipation performance and easily responds to a demand for weight reduction, based on such a conventional technology.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a flywheel having a friction surface with a clutch device, wherein a cast iron wheel body and an aluminum alloy having a heat conductivity higher than that of the cast iron of the wheel body on at least the surface excluding the friction surface with the clutch device. A heat dissipating part formed from a casting.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the flywheel according to the first aspect, the wheel body is made of cast iron having a magnesium content of 0.005 to 0.02% by weight and a graphite morphology of caterpillar. It is characterized by.
[0009]
A third invention is characterized in that, in the flywheel according to the first invention, the heat radiating portion is joined by casting the wheel body into an aluminum alloy casting.
[0010]
According to a fourth aspect, in the flywheel according to the first aspect, the heat radiating section includes a cooling fin.
[0011]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the flywheel according to the first aspect, the wheel body has a thick outer peripheral portion, a central portion forming an attachment portion to a crankshaft, and a thin-walled portion formed so as to join these. And an intermediate portion.
[0012]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the flywheel according to the fifth aspect, the wheel body is provided with a radial rib centered on a central portion in a thin intermediate portion.
[0013]
【The invention's effect】
In the first invention, the heat dissipating portion is formed of an aluminum alloy casting having higher thermal conductivity than the cast iron of the wheel body, at least on the surface of the cast iron wheel body except for the friction surface with the clutch device. Since the aluminum alloy casting is a light metal, the heat radiating portion (heat radiating area) can be efficiently and reasonably large, and the heat radiation is much higher than that of a combination product of cast irons (disclosed in JP-A-9-42378). Performance is obtained. Further, by setting the volume ratio of the heat radiating portion to the wheel body large within the range of the performance (such as tensile strength) required for the flywheel, the weight reduction of the flywheel can be greatly promoted.
[0014]
In the second invention, since the wheel body is a vermiculite-like graphite cast iron, stress concentration at the graphite tip is reduced, and thermal cracks can be suppressed. Specifically, by setting the magnesium content to 0.005 to 0.02% by weight, the heat radiation performance can be satisfied while securing the tensile strength and the like required for the flywheel.
[0015]
In the third aspect of the present invention, a good connection between the wheel body and the heat radiating portion can be easily obtained by casting the wheel body into an aluminum alloy casting.
[0016]
In the fourth aspect, the cooling fins of the heat radiating portion greatly improve the heat radiating performance of the flywheel. By setting the content of magnesium to 0.02% by weight or more in order to increase the tensile strength and the like in the wheel body by the increased performance, it becomes possible to make the structure of graphite closer to a sphere.
[0017]
In the fifth aspect of the invention, the required inertial mass of the flywheel is rationally secured by the thick outer peripheral portion, and the volume ratio of the heat radiating portion can be easily increased by the thin intermediate portion.
[0018]
According to the sixth aspect, the thin portion of the wheel body can be efficiently reinforced while securing the heat radiation performance of the flywheel.

Table 1 shows the results of a thermal conductivity measurement, a tensile strength test, and a thermal crack initiation test on cast iron test pieces having different Mg contents.
[Table 1]
The thermal conductivity is measured by attaching a thermocouple temperature sensor to both sides of the test piece, irradiating one side of the test piece with a laser beam to give a predetermined amount of heat, and changing the temperature detected by the thermocouple temperature sensor (over time). Changes). The tensile strength is based on a test based on the method of JIS Z 2241 using a test piece of JIS Z 2201.
[0023]
In the thermal crack initiation test, the turntable is rotated while pressing the lining material of the turntable against the fixed test piece (generates frictional heat between the test piece and the lining material). The test piece is separated from the lining material of the table, and cooling water is sprayed on the friction surface (end face of the test piece). When the spraying for a predetermined time is completed, by visually observing, the friction with the lining material and the spraying of the cooling water are repeatedly performed in one cycle until a thermal crack is generated in the test piece. The numerical value of the test result represents the number of cycles repeated until the occurrence of thermal cracking was observed.
[0024]
FIG. 3 is a graph of the test results. As the content of Mg increases, the tensile strength and the timing of the occurrence of thermal cracks improve, but the thermal conductivity decreases. If the Mg content exceeds 0.02% by weight, it is not possible to secure a thermal conductivity of 40 W / mK or more required for the flywheel from the heat radiation performance of the clutch device. When the Mg content is less than 0.005% by weight, the tensile strength required for the flywheel is 300 MPa or more due to the rigidity of the clutch device, and the thermal crack initiation time required for the flywheel is 100 times or more due to the durability of the clutch device. , Cannot be secured.
