Abstract
Description
【0001】

The present invention relates to a program and a recording medium on which the program is recorded.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Various types of audiovisual devices owned by users have become widespread, and it has become common for individuals to enjoy so-called music software and video software.
For example, a user owns an audio system corresponding to a disk recording medium such as a CD (Compact Disc), an MD (Mini Disc), and a DVD (Digital Versatile Disc), and a desired CD, MD, or DVD sold as a package medium. And the like, and the content is played back, or recorded on a recordable medium with a music selection of your choice.
[0003]
As an audiovisual device, for example, a recording / reproducing device that stores an audio data file and a video data file using a large-capacity medium such as a hard disk has been developed.
In such a recording / reproducing apparatus, a user can perform so-called ripping, that is, dubbing and recording of content such as music recorded on a package medium such as a CD on a large-capacity medium as described above. Further, at this time, by using a large-capacity storage medium in such a recording and reproducing apparatus, for example, all music pieces on a large number of CDs and the like owned by the user can be stored in the recording and reproducing system.
[0004]
In this manner, a large amount of content data can be ripped on a large-capacity medium provided in the recording / reproducing apparatus. For example, when a user wants to reproduce a certain music or the like, the music is recorded. There is no need to search for a loaded CD or the like and load it into the recording / reproducing apparatus. That is, in this case, the recording / reproducing apparatus only has to read out the music designated by the user from the HDD and reproduce it.
Therefore, such a recording / reproducing apparatus is very convenient especially for a user who owns a large number of CDs and the like. In addition, since there is no need to change CDs or the like, it is possible to easily enjoy music by selecting music according to the mood and situation of the day.
[0005]
By the way, as described above, the content such as music recorded on a package medium such as a loaded CD is ripped on a large-capacity recording medium such as an HDD. It is possible to perform so-called background ripping, in which data is automatically read from a medium and ripped without performing an operation for instructing ripping.
That is, the data recorded on the loaded medium is ripped without waiting for a ripping instruction from the user, so that an instruction for ripping the data recorded on the medium again when the medium is loaded again later is issued. Is performed, the writing time for the data can be omitted.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, conventionally, when background ripping is automatically performed as described above, the user cannot select content to be ripped. For this reason, depending on the background ripping as described above, the content recorded in the loaded medium is unlimitedly loaded into the built-in medium.
For this reason, there is a high possibility that contents unnecessary to the user may be taken into the large-capacity media inside the recording / reproducing apparatus by the conventional background ripping as described above. There is a problem that the storage resources of the media are not used effectively.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, in the present invention, a recording / reproducing apparatus capable of performing recording or reproduction on a recording medium is configured as follows.

In accordance with the input, data is read from the loaded recording medium and stored in the storage means, and the recorded data is managed as the official registration data in the official registration management information. For the data that is recorded and managed as the temporary registration data, the temporary registration management information is set so that the temporary registration data is changed to the main registration data in response to an operation input instructing the main registration. And performing a process of updating the official registration management information and a process of permitting erasure of the temporary registration data in ascending order of the current time information in accordance with the capacity status of the storage means. I tried to make it.
[0011]
According to the present invention, the data read from the recording medium is recorded on the storage medium as temporary registration data even if the instruction of the main registration is not issued. Thus, when the data to be recorded as the main registration data is recorded as the temporary registration data, an operation for reading the data from the recording medium and recording the data can be omitted.
[0012]

On the other hand, files for which ripping is instructed based on user operations are managed as official registration files.
[0029]
For this reason, in the recording / reproducing
First, in FIG. 2, the temporary registration file management information is management information for managing a track file recorded in the
[0030]
The track ID is, for example, identification information for identifying each track file as a track number of a disk (CD title) and the like, and is generated by the CPU 21 described in FIG. The CPU 21 manages each track file based on the track ID generated by itself.
That is, the CPU 21 writes the track ID in the temporary registration file management information, so that the file managed as the temporary registration file among the track files recorded on the
Such a track ID may be generated, for example, as exemplified below.
[0031]
Generate a track ID from the TOC data of the CD.
The number of tracks (number of tracks) recorded on the CD, the address of each track (absolute time information), the total playing time, and the like are recorded in the TOC data of the CD. This usually results in the same data on a CD with the same title, but it is very unlikely that they all match on a CD with a different title. Therefore, a code unique to the CD title can be generated from the TOC data.
For example, extracting the first track number, the last track number, the address of each track, the total playing time, etc. from the TOC data, synthesizing the values, and in some cases, performing an operation using each value by a specific operation , A unique code value can be obtained.
First, a unique identifier for the loaded CD can thus be obtained.
Then, by combining this identifier with the value of the track number, a track ID unique to each track can be obtained.
[0032]
-Generate a CD identifier from ISRC information.
An ISRC is assigned to each CD title as a copyright management code for each album or each song, and is recorded in the TOC. The ISRC code is provided as code data unique to the CD title. Therefore, the CDRC identifier can be used by using the ISRC code or by giving the ISRC code a specific operation process.
Then, as described above, if the value of the track number is combined with the identifier, a track ID unique to each track can be obtained.
[0033]
In FIG. 2, the temporary registration file management information further includes, in addition to the track ID, recording time information for indicating the time when each track file was recorded on the
Thereby, the CPU 21 can refer to the recording time of each track file managed as the temporarily registered file, and can grasp the recording order of each temporarily registered file.
[0034]
Subsequently, in FIG. 3, the officially registered file management information is management information for managing a track file recorded on the
As shown, the track ID corresponding to each track file ripped based on a user operation is written in the officially registered file management information.
By writing the track ID corresponding to each track file as the officially registered file management information in this way, the CPU 21 manages the track files recorded on the
[0035]
By using the temporary registration file management information and the permanent registration file management information as described above, the recording / reproducing
FIG. 4 is a diagram for schematically explaining the operation obtained in the recording / reproducing
First, in FIG. 4, by performing management based on the temporary registration file management information and the permanent registration file management information, a temporary registration file as shown in FIG. Two virtual storage areas, an area and an official registration area where an official registration file is recorded, are formed.
[0036]
Each file recorded in the temporary registration area is managed based on the recording time information in the temporary registration file management information, so that each file is managed in the order according to the recording time as shown in the figure. Will be done.
That is, for example, assuming that the recording order of the track files recorded so far in the temporary registration area is, for example, file E... File D, file C, file B, and file A, as shown in FIG. As shown in a), these files are managed in the order of newest recording time.
[0037]
Then, after managing the recording order of each file recorded in the temporary registration area in this way, when a new background ripped file is recorded in this temporary registration area, the oldest file is recorded. Make sure to delete files in order.
In other words, when a new track file is recorded in this temporary registration area and the capacity exceeds the capacity set in advance as the capacity of the temporary registration area, the files are erased in order from the file with the oldest recording time. Is to do so.
[0038]
For example, as shown in FIG. 4A, when a new track file F is recorded in the temporary registration area, the storage capacity set as the temporary registration area may be exceeded. Assume the case. In this case, as shown in FIG. 2B, the file E with the oldest recording time is deleted, and the newly recorded file F is to be managed as the newest recording file.
In this way, in the temporary registration area, among the track files that have been background ripped in the past, only the files whose recording time is assumed to be new can be held, and these files can be stored. Can be controlled so that the total storage capacity does not exceed the set capacity.
That is, the track files that have been background-ripped are not stored in the
At this time, if the same file as the file to be newly recorded as the temporary registration file is already recorded in the temporary registration area, no duplicate recording is performed, and only the order of this file is moved up. .
That is, in this case, only the time information associated with the corresponding track ID is updated in the temporary registration file management information shown in FIG.
[0039]
Here, in a state where the track file subjected to the background ripping as described above is recorded in the temporary registration area, for example, certain track data is deleted from the content data recorded on the loaded CD. It is assumed that a user operation for ripping is performed.
As described above, in the case of the present embodiment, the track data for which ripping is instructed by the user operation in this way is treated as being to be recorded in the main registration area illustrated as a main registration file.
However, in this case, if the track data instructed to be ripped is data that has been background ripped in the past and has already been recorded as a temporary registration file in the
That is, in the ripping operation in this case, for example, as shown in FIG. 4C, the attribute of the temporary registration file is changed so that the temporary registration file already recorded in the
That is, in this case, the operation of reading the track data from the CD loaded as described above and recording the track data on the
[0040]
The operation at this time will be described with reference to FIG.
First, in FIG. 5, as shown in FIG. 5, the actual recording status of the track file in the
As shown in the figure, track files with track IDs "1", "2", "3",... Are managed on the temporary registration file management information, and track ID "1" on one of the official registration file management information. It is assumed that “4”, “5”, “6”,... Have been managed.
[0041]
In such a state, if the track data instructed to be ripped by the user operation is, for example, the track data with the track ID “2”, the CPU 21 first assigns this track ID “2” to the temporary registration data shown in the figure. A match with the track ID “2” written as the file management information is detected.
Then, in response to this, the CPU 21 writes the track file of the track ID “2” in which the match is detected in the temporary registration file management information as shown in the figure so as to manage the track file as the official registration file. The track ID information "2" is copied to the official registration file management information.
[0042]
As a result, in the recording / reproducing
That is, in this case, the track data for which the ripping instruction has been issued can be recorded as the official registration file without writing any actual data to the
Thus, the user can rip the data of the track for which the ripping instruction has been issued to the recording / reproducing
[0043]
Processing operations to be performed by the CPU 21 shown in FIG. 1 in order to realize the operation as the recording / reproducing
The processing operations shown in FIGS. 6 to 8 are executed by the CPU 21 according to a program stored in the ROM in the
[0044]
First, FIG. 6 shows a processing operation to be executed by the CPU 21 when performing background ripping of a CD loaded in the CD drive 29.
6, the CPU 21 monitors whether or not a CD is loaded in the CD drive 29 in step S101 shown in the figure. When a CD is loaded in the CD drive 29, in step S102, an instruction is given to the CD drive control unit 28 to read the TOC data recorded on the CD.
[0045]
In the following step S103, it is determined whether or not an operation has been performed on the loaded CD as a condition for starting the background ripping.
That is, in step S103, as described above, when the user has not operated the recording / reproducing
If it is determined in step S103 that an operation has not been performed on the loaded CD and that a predetermined condition has been satisfied, the process proceeds to step S104.
[0046]
In step S104, of the track data recorded on the loaded CD, the track number of the track data to start reading is determined. At this time, the CPU 21 reads the track data recorded on the loaded CD sequentially from the first music piece.
Then, in the subsequent step S105, the track number determined in step S104 is referred to.
[0047]
In step S106, based on the TOC data read in step S102 and the value of the track number referred to in step S105, the track ID of the track data determined to be read is acquired.
That is, in step S106, as described above, a unique identifier for the CD is obtained from the read TOC data. Then, by combining this identifier with the value of the track number referred to above, a track ID unique to the track data is obtained.
When the track ID of the track data determined to be read is acquired in this way, the process proceeds to step S107.
[0048]
In step S107, it is determined whether or not the same track ID as the acquired track ID has already been written as the officially registered file management information described above with reference to FIG.
If it is determined in step S107 that the acquired track ID has already been written as the officially registered file management information, the process proceeds to step S115 as shown, and the track is sequentially forwarded to the CD drive control unit 28. After that, the reference process of the track number in step S105 is performed again.
That is, if the track data with the track ID is already recorded in the
On the other hand, if it is determined in this step S107 that the obtained track ID has not been written as the above-mentioned officially registered file management information, the process proceeds to step S108.
[0049]
In step S108, it is determined whether or not the same track ID as the track ID acquired in step S101 is written as the temporary registration file management information described with reference to FIG.
If it is determined in step S108 that the acquired track ID has not been written as the temporary registration file management information, the process proceeds to step S109.
[0050]
In step S109, in order to generate a temporary registration file based on the track data of the track number referred to in step S105, various control processes for writing the track data to the
In this case, the CPU 21 starts reading the track data by instructing the CD drive control unit 28 of the corresponding track number. Then, in order to convert the data read through the CD drive control unit 28 into compressed data according to the ATRAC method, control is performed on the ATRAC encode /
[0051]
In the following step S110, it is monitored whether or not the track data read from the CD is recorded on the
If a track file has been recorded on the
[0052]
In the following step S112, information associating the information of the track ID acquired in step S106 described above with the current time information referred to in step S111 is recorded as temporary registration file management information.
In this way, by additionally recording the track ID information acquired in step S106 to the temporary registration file management information, the track file recorded in the
[0053]
In this step S112, if the track ID information and the current time information are additionally recorded as the temporary registration file management information as described above, the process proceeds to step S111 as shown in FIG. After instructing the forward feed, the track number is referred to again in step S105.
[0054]
Here, a case will be described in which it is determined by the processing operation in step S108 that the track ID acquired in step S106 has been written as temporary registration file management information.
In this step S108, the case where the obtained track ID is written as the temporary registration file management information, that is, the case where the track data determined to be read is already recorded in the
[0055]
As described above, in this embodiment, in such a case, the duplicate recording of the same file is not performed, and only the corresponding recording time in the temporary registration file management information is updated.
Therefore, if it is determined in step S108 that the acquired track ID has been written in the temporary registration file management information, the process proceeds to step S113, where the current time information generated by the clock function block is first referenced. To be done.
Then, in the following step S114, the recording time information recorded as the temporary registration file management information and associated with the track ID is updated to the current time information referred to in the above step S113.
[0056]
In this way, when the recording time information corresponding to the track ID is updated to the current time information in step S114, the process proceeds to step S111, and the CD drive control unit 28 is instructed to forward the tracks.
Then, as shown in the figure, a process of referring to the track number in step S105 is performed.
[0057]
Although not shown, during such a background ripping operation, it is determined that background ripping should be stopped, for example, an operation for instructing reproduction of a loaded CD is detected. When the detected predetermined factor is detected, the processing operation shown in this figure is stopped.
In this case, track files that have not been recorded effectively, such as track files that were being written when the processing operation was stopped, are discarded. That is, according to the processing in FIG. 6, a track file for which such recording has not been completed is not reflected in the provisionally registered file management information, so that background ripping is not performed.
[0058]
In the processing operation of FIG. 6, the background ripping of the loaded CD is performed for each track. However, instead of this, for example, from among the track data recorded on the loaded CD, Only the tracks that do not overlap with the temporary registration file and the official registration file already recorded on the
Alternatively, after writing all the track data recorded on the loaded CD, only the temporarily registered file already recorded and the file which does not overlap with the officially registered file may be retained.
Further, in the case of such background ripping, the CD reproduction may be performed at a high speed such as a double speed, a quadruple speed, and an octuple speed when the normal reproduction speed is set to a normal speed.
[0059]
Next, a processing operation when setting track files managed as temporary registration files as erasable files in order of recording time will be described with reference to the flowchart of FIG.
Note that the processing operation shown in this figure is executed in parallel with the processing operation shown in FIG.
First, in step S201 shown in the figure, the CPU 21 monitors that the recorded content of the temporary registration file management information is updated by performing the processing operation of step S112 described above with reference to FIG.
That is, by monitoring the update of the temporary registration file management information in this way, it is attempted to detect that a track file as a temporary registration file is newly recorded in the
Needless to say, the update of the temporary registration file management information in this case does not include the update of only the recording time information in step S114 shown in FIG.

If it is determined that there is no free space for recording the temporary registration file, the process proceeds to step S203.
[0061]
In step S203, the track ID in which the oldest recording time information is associated and recorded is recognized with reference to the temporary registration file management information.
Then, in step S204, based on the track ID thus recognized, a process of setting a track file corresponding to the track ID among the track files recorded on the

[0062]
Next, FIG. 8 shows processing operations to be executed by the CPU 21 when an operation for instructing ripping is performed on a CD loaded in the CD drive 29. In this figure, it is assumed that a CD is already loaded in the CD drive control unit 29. Further, it is assumed that TOC data has already been read from the CD loaded in this manner.
[0063]
First, in step S301 shown in the figure, the CPU 21 monitors whether or not the user has performed an operation for instructing ripping of a CD loaded in the CD drive 29.
In step S301, when it is detected that the predetermined operation for instructing the ripping is performed via the
In this case, it is assumed that the operation for instructing the ripping includes an operation for designating a track number of track data to be ripped.
[0064]
In step S302, the track number of the track data to be ripped specified by the user operation in step S301 is recognized.
In step S303, necessary arithmetic processing is performed on the basis of the track number recognized as described above and the TOC data already read from the currently loaded CD, and corresponding to the designated track data. Of the track to be acquired.
[0065]
In the following step S304, it is determined whether or not the same track ID as the obtained track ID is recorded in the temporary registration file management information.
If the same track ID as the acquired track ID is not recorded in the temporary registration file management information, normal ripping processing is performed in step S306. That is, first, the specified track data is read from the CD loaded in the CD drive 29, and a process for recording the read track data on the
On the other hand, if the same track ID as the recognized track ID is recorded in the temporary registration file management information, the process proceeds to step S305.
[0066]
In step S305, the management information for the temporary registration file and the management information for the official registration file are updated so that the track file as the temporary registration file to which the corresponding track ID is assigned is managed as the official registration file.
That is, as described above with reference to FIG. 5, the process of writing the track ID information recorded in the temporary registration file management information into the official registration file management information is performed. As a result, the track file with the track ID is thereafter managed as the official registration file.

[0073]
In the present embodiment, a case has been described as an example in which the condition for starting the background ripping is that no operation is performed on the loaded CD. However, as a condition for starting such background ripping, for example, an operation of instructing a reproduction output to a loaded CD may be detected.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the present invention, the data read from the recording medium is recorded in the storage means as temporary registration data even if the instruction of the main registration is not issued. Thus, when the data to be recorded as the main registration data is recorded as the temporary registration data in the storage unit, the operation of reading the data from the recording medium and recording the data can be omitted. I am trying to become.
[0079]
Further, according to the present invention, when data as temporary registration is recorded in the storage means, the recording time is recorded together with the data. Then, based on the information of the recording time, the data recorded as the temporary registration data can be erased in order from the oldest recording time in accordance with the storage capacity of the storage means. .
[0080]
As a result, it is possible to sequentially delete, as unnecessary data, data that has been recorded in the storage unit and that has been captured from a previously loaded recording medium and has not been subjected to the main registration instruction, The storage capacity required for recording the temporary registration data in the storage means can be limited so as not to exceed a predetermined capacity.
As a result, according to the present invention, while the data to be recorded as the official registration data is recorded as the temporary registration data while effectively utilizing the storage resources in the storage means, the data is read from the recording medium and read. Can be omitted.
