Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a folding handle for bicycles, which has a simple structure, has sufficient strength, and has excellent operability in which folding and upright fixing can be easily and quickly performed by a simple operation. Things.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The handle portion of the bicycle has an important meaning in saving the space of the bicycle, and several types have been conventionally proposed.
[0003]
For example, a) The handle described in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 63-152790 discloses a "luggage having a substantially C-shaped cross section which is fixed to the fixed post 2 on the fixed post 4 on the frame 4 side and has an integral fastening piece 51. 5, a rotation shaft 11 that projects horizontally from the lower end of the movable post 1 on the handlebar 3 side and that is oblique to the frame 4 is inserted, and a rotation prevention pin 12 protruding from the rotation shaft 11 is The inner diameter of the lug 5 is changed by the tightening shaft 8 which moves back and forth so as to expand and contract by rotating the cam lever 9 to enable the rotary shaft 11 to be tightened and released. And the movable post 1 is rotated to the side of the front wheel 7 by releasing the rotation preventing pin 12 from between the fastening pieces 51 against the urging force of the spring 6. Those, wherein "to be folded in wearing state (reference numeral is as in the publication).
[0004]
B) The one described in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 63-152791 discloses "a fixed lug 6 fixed to the fixed post 2 on the frame 4 side and a movable lugg 5 fixed to the movable post 1 on the handlebar 3 side. A continuous chevron tooth 7 is formed in a ring shape on each joint surface, a spring 10 is interposed between the two lugs 5 and 6, and the cam lever 9 is rotated in the two lugs 5 and 6 so as to be extended and retracted. The moving rotary shaft 8 is inserted obliquely with respect to the frame 4, and when the rotary shaft 8 moves forward, the engagement of the continuous chevron teeth 7 is released by the urging force of the spring 10, and the movable post 1 rotates and the front wheel 11 Is folded in a state in which it is in close contact with the side surface of the rotator, and in this state, the continuous continuous tooth 7 is engaged and fixed by retreating the rotating shaft 8. Street).
[0005]
Further, (c) there is a handle for a foldable bicycle as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2002-37171 (Japanese Patent Application No. 2000-331862) by the present applicant.
[0006]
As described in the claims, the lower post 1 on the fork stem 4 side of the frame, the upper post 2 on the handlebar 5 side, and the upper post are foldable and can be sandwiched and fixed upright. The connecting fixture 3 is formed by attaching a lower flange 6 made of a thick plate material and having a hinged cylindrical portion 8 on one side edge on the upper portion of the lower post 1. On the other hand, an upper flange portion 7 made of a thick plate material and having a hinged tubular portion 9 on one side edge is fixed to the lower portion of the upper post 2, and the two tubular portions 8 and 9 are arranged in a line to communicate with each other. A horizontal shaft 10 for hinges is inserted into the flanges to form hinge portions of both flange portions, and a projecting portion 11 having a female screw hole is provided at a position near the other side edge on the opposite side of the hinge portion of at least one flange portion. The male screw rod 13 of the tightening tool 12 with a lever provided on the side is formed so as to be screwable. A latch 16 opened on the flange side is provided between the pressing member 15 that moves through the male screw rod 13 by rotation and the two flanges 6 and 7, and the latch 16 is connected to the pressing member 15. When the upper post 2 stands upright on the lower post 1, the other side edges 18, 19 of the parallel and overlapped flanges 6, 7 are connected to the lever 18 by turning the lever. The latch 16 that moves by movement engages and can be clamped and fixed (the reference numeral in the drawing is as described in the publication).
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, since the lower fixed post and the upper movable post are not on the same straight line but are separated from each other, there is a sense of incongruity in steering when riding and there is a problem in safety. .
[0008]
In the case of (b), which is fastened and fixed with a roughly C-shaped cross section, an anti-rotation pin is required to prevent inadvertent rotation, but safety and reliability may still be a concern. Can be Also, the operation at the time of folding involves pulling the rotating shaft against the spring after loosening the cam lever, pulling the pin out from between the fastening pieces, and rotating the movable post downward, which has a problem in operability. .
[0009]
On the other hand, in the case of the above item b), the lengths of both rugs are particularly long, and since they protrude diagonally forward, the appearance is not good, and the steering characteristics during riding are uncomfortable and there is a problem in safety. Also, during the folding operation, rotate the cam lever so that the rotating shaft moves forward until the continuous chevron teeth 7 of both rugs are disengaged, then rotate the movable post downward, and further rotate the cam lever in the opposite direction to rotate. It is necessary to retract the shaft against the spring so that the continuous chevron teeth of both lugs mesh with each other, which has a problem in operability.
[0010]
Further, in any of the above items (a) and (b), the lever for moving the rotating shaft is operated from the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the rotating shaft. There was a problem that it was necessary to perform the operation in such a way that it was difficult to operate.
[0011]
The device (c) has a simple structure, good operability, excellent safety and reliability, and a low manufacturing cost as compared with the conventional device. However, the latch 16 having a U-shaped cross section opened on the side of the flange provided between the pressing member 15 of the lever-equipped fastener 12 and the flanges 6 and 7 of the connection fixing part 3 is a compression spring. 17 urges the pressing member 15 toward the pressing member 15, that is, in a direction away from the other edge portions 18 and 19 of the flange portions 6 and 7.
[0012]
Therefore, when the fastener 12 with the lever is loosened, the latch 16 is automatically separated from both the flanges 6 and 7, so that the upper post 2 integrated with the upper flange 7 is not in an upright state due to the weight of the handlebar. The upper post 2 may be easily collapsed, or even if the upper post 2 in the folded state is erected, the upper post 2 may fall down as it is. Has to be operated.
[0013]
Accordingly, the present invention has been researched and developed with the object of solving the above-mentioned problems associated with this type of bicycle folding handle. That is, an object of the present invention is a folding type for a bicycle, which has a sufficient strength in spite of a simple configuration, is easy to be folded or set in an upright fixed state, and has greatly improved operability so that it can be performed in two actions. The purpose is to provide a handle.
[0014]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The folding handle for a bicycle according to the present invention includes:
It comprises a lower post 1 on the fork stem side, an upper post 2 on the handlebar side, and a connection fixing part 3 which normally fixes the upper post 2 upright and can be folded as required,
The connecting fixture 3 is
A lower connecting portion 4 having one side as a hinge portion 6 is fixed to an upper portion of the lower post 1, and an upper connecting portion 5 having one side as a hinge portion 7 is fixed to a lower portion of the upper post 2, It is made rotatable by the horizontal axis 8 inserted between the hinge parts 6 and 7,
A substantially semicircular recessed portion 11 as viewed from the side is formed at a side end of one of the connection portions 4 on the side opposite to the hinge portion, and the other connection portion 5 is on the side opposite to the hinge portion. At the end, a substantially semicircular recess 12 as viewed from the side is formed,
Further, the male threaded rod 14 of the tightening tool 13 with a lever is screwed into the one connecting part 4 from the side opposite to the hinge part, and the two threaded parts are aligned with the male threaded rod 14 when viewed from the side. A compression member that engages with the substantially circular hooking body 15 viewed from the side that can be engaged with the concave notches 11 and 12 and urges the hooking body 15 toward the concave notches 11 and 12. The spring 16 is engaged.
[0015]
Further, when the upper post 2 is rotated in a state where the male screw rod 14 of the tightening tool 13 with the lever is loosened and the male screw rod 14 is extended to the side opposite to the hinge part, the upper post 2 is connected. The engaging body 15 pressed by the lower end portion 17 of the concave notch 12 of the use portion 5 is formed to have a length capable of temporarily retreating to a rear position that does not hinder the movement of the lower end portion 17. is there.
[0016]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In the above configuration, the lower connecting portion 4 is fixed to the upper end of the lower post 1, and the upper connecting portion 3 is fixed to the lower end of the upper post 2, respectively. It is desirable to set it as long as it is easy to manufacture and can obtain the required strength.
[0017]
The recessed portions 12, 12 at the side ends of the lower connecting portion 4 and the upper connecting portion 5 on the side opposite to the hinge portion are substantially semicircular when viewed from the side and open at the opposite side of the hinge portion. However, the substantially semicircular shape here is not limited to a semicircular shape. Includes a concave surface having a part of a shape that is substantially oval or substantially elliptical when viewed from the side, or a shape similar to these. It is desirable that this substantially semicircular shape be slightly shallower than half.
[0018]
It is preferable that the hooking body 15 is formed in a substantially cylindrical laterally-oriented columnar shape as viewed from the side so as to be engageable with the substantially semicircular concave notches 11 and 12. Not limited to As long as it can be engaged with the concave notches 11, 12, an oval shape or an elliptical shape as viewed from the side, or a convex curved surface having a part of a shape close thereto is also included.
[0019]
The length of the male screw rod 14 of the tightening tool 13 with a lever is determined by rotating the upper post 2 and the upper connecting portion 5 while the tightening tool 13 is loosened and the male screw rod 14 extends to the side opposite to the hinge portion. Then, the lower tip portion 17 of the concave notch 12 pushes the latching body 15 backward, and the latching body 15 is disengaged from the concave notch 5 or engages with the concave notch 5. The length is set so that it can retreat to the position where they meet.
[0020]
The hinge portions 6 and 7 of the lower and upper connecting portions 4 and 5 are arranged so that the handlebar 5 is parallel to the frame when the upper post 2 is folded. The axis 5 is not parallel to the horizontal axis 8 for the hinge, but is staggered at a certain angle α.
[0021]
The lower connecting portion 4 and the upper connecting portion 5 are preferably overlapped and hooked when the upper post 2 is in the upright state, and formed to have a thickness not to turn any more. In the above, the upper post 2 being upright does not mean vertical, but is on the upper extension line of the lower post 1 and is inclined at a certain angle toward the rider, like a general handle post. Means state.
[0022]
The tightening device 13 with a lever is generally referred to as a rotary lever type or a quick lever type. However, it is desirable to use a rotary lever from the viewpoint of cost, strength, and reliability of operation.
[0023]
The pressing force of the compression spring 16 is such that when the latching body 15 is pressed against the lower end portion 17 of the concave notch 12 of the upper connecting portion 5, the latching body 15 is temporarily In this case, the fastener 13 can be retracted toward the base 18 side.
[0024]
Next, the use state and the operation state of the folding bicycle handle having the above configuration will be described.
B) To make the folded handle upright so that it can run, turn the fastener 13 with the lever in the loosening direction to extend the male screw rod 14 to the side opposite to the hinge side, and then the upper post folded downward. 2 (see, for example, FIG. 3) is rotated upward about the horizontal axis 8 of the hinge portion of the upper connection portion 5 so that the upper connection portion 5 overlaps the lower connection portion 4.
[0025]
At this time, when the upper post 2 approaches an upright state, the lower end portion 17 of the concave notch 12 of the upper connecting portion 5 comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the substantially semicircular hooking body 15, and The stopping body 15 is pushed backward (for example, see FIG. 4). Therefore, the latching body 15 temporarily retreats on the male screw rod 14 toward the anti-hinge portion side, that is, toward the base portion 18 of the lever-equipped tightening tool 13 against the spring force (for example, see FIG. 4 described above). The rotation of the upper connecting portion 5 is not hindered.
[0026]
Thereafter, when the upper post 2 is further rotated to be in an upright state, and the recessed portions 11 and 12 of the lower and upper connecting portions 3 and 4 are overlapped when viewed from the side, the hook which has been retreated temporarily. The stopper 15 is automatically and forcibly fitted into the recessed portions 11 and 12 by the spring force. At this time, since the latching body 15 has a substantially cylindrical convex curved surface, it slides smoothly and all at once into the concave notches 11 and 12 having the substantially semicircular concave curved surfaces. . As a result, the two concave notches 11 and 12 completely match when viewed from the side.
[0027]
As a result, the upper connecting portion 5 is temporarily fixed in a state of overlapping with the lower connecting portion 4, so that the upper post 2 is also temporarily fixed in an upright state. The upper post 2 does not accidentally fall. After that, it is sufficient to turn the fastener 13 with the lever in the tightening direction with only one hand.
[0028]
As a result, the locking body 15 pressed by the base 18 of the fastening tool 13 is pressed into the recessed portions 11 and 12 to be in a sufficiently engaged state, so that the connecting portions 4 and 5 overlap. Thus, an integrated state is maintained (for example, see FIG. 1). Therefore, the rotation of the upper connecting portion 5 is prevented, and the upper post 2 is firmly held and fixed upright on the lower post 1, so that the bicycle can run.
[0029]
B) When folding the handle in the above-described running state, for example, when parking a bicycle, turn the fastener 13 with the lever in the loosening direction and extend the male screw rod 14 to the side opposite to the hinge portion. Good.
[0030]
As a result, the base 18 of the fastener 13 also retreats, but the latching body 15 is pressed toward the concave notches 11 and 12 by the spring force of the compression spring 16 and engaged in the two concave notches 11 and 12. It is still in a temporarily fixed state. Therefore, the upper post 2 does not fall down carelessly only by loosening the fastener 13 with the lever, and it is not necessary to attach one hand to the upper post 2.
[0031]
In this state, when the upper post 2 is folded down with either hand in the folding direction, the upper connecting portion 5 rotates about the horizontal axis 8 of the hinge portion, and the concave notch portion 12 matches the lower portion. It tries to rotate separately from the concave notch 2 of the side connecting portion 4 (see, for example, FIG. 4).
[0032]
For this reason, the latching body 15 engaged in the recesses 11, 12 abuts against the lower end portion 17 of the recess 12 of the upper connecting portion 5 and is pushed rearward, and the spring force is exerted. (See, for example, FIG. 4). When the upper connecting portion 5 is further rotated, the concave notch 12 is completely separated from the hook body 15, so that the upper connecting portion 5 and the upper post 2 can freely rotate, and the upper post 2 is folded down. The latching body 15 that has temporarily retreated moves forward again by the spring force and is engaged in the recessed portion 11 of the lower connecting portion 4.
[0033]
At the time of the above, the recessed portion 12 of the upper connecting portion 5 is formed in a substantially semicircular concave curved surface, and the latching body 15 is also formed in a substantially cylindrical convex curved surface. By the rotation of the portion 5, the latching body 15 is gradually pushed backward from the concave notch portion 12 against the spring force, is further pushed by the lower tip portion 17, and once retreats, the upper connection The concave notch 12 of the tool 5 is completely separated from the hook 15.
[0034]
The upper handle is now folded down (see, for example, FIG. 3 above). When the upper post 2 is in the upright position, the axis of the handlebar 23 and the horizontal axis 8 for the hinge are not parallel, but are staggered at a certain angle, so that the handlebar 23 is substantially parallel to the frame when folded. It is folded in a shape, and it is not bulky to the side to save space.
[0035]
【Example】
1 to 6 show an embodiment of a folding handle for a bicycle according to the present invention, in which a lower post 1 on a side of a fork stem 19 of a frame and a handle bar foldably connected on the lower post 1 are shown. It comprises an upper post 2 on the 23 side, and a connecting and fixing portion 3 that holds and fixes the upper post 2 in an upright state, and that can be folded when necessary.
[0036]
The lower post 1 has an outer diameter of 22.2 mm so that the lower portion can be inserted into the fork stem from above, and the upper end thereof is fixed to the short tube portion 20 of the lower connecting portion 4 described later. It is.
[0037]
The lower connection portion 4 is made of an aluminum alloy here, has a width of about 48.0 mm, a front-rear width (left and right width in FIG. 1) of about 71.0 mm, and a thickness of the center portion of about 12.0 mm. From below, a short cylindrical portion 20 is formed which is fixedly engaged with the upper end of the lower post 1. The short cylindrical portion 20 has a length of about 30.0 mm and an inner diameter of about 22.1 mm.
[0038]
At one end (the left end in FIG. 1) of the lower connecting portion 4, a hinge portion 6 projecting obliquely upward in a forked shape as viewed in a plan view is formed. A lateral hole that can be inserted is formed. On the other side end, that is, on the side opposite to the hinge part (the right end side in FIG. 1), a central projecting part 9 which is obliquely upward is formed at the central part seen in a plan view, A recessed portion 11 having a radius of about 9.5 mm is formed in a substantially semicircular shape as viewed from above.
[0039]
The upper post 2 is made of iron here, has a lug portion for holding and fixing the handle bar 23 at the upper portion, has an outer diameter of about 28.6 mm, and has a lower end portion of a short cylinder of the upper connection portion 5 described later. It is fitted and fixed to the part 21.
[0040]
The upper connecting portion 5 is also made of an aluminum alloy, and has a width of about 48.0 mm, a front-rear width (left and right width in FIG. 1) of about 71.0 mm, a thickness of about 11.8 mm at the center, and about 11.8 mm. A short cylindrical portion 21 is formed upwardly for engaging and fixing the lower end of the upper post 2.
[0041]
One side end (the left end in FIG. 1) of the upper connection portion 5 can be engaged with the forked portion of the hinge portion 6 of the lower connection portion 4 at the central portion viewed in a plan view. Further, a hinge portion 7 projecting obliquely downward is formed, and a horizontal hole through which the hinge horizontal shaft 8 can be inserted is formed. On the other side end, that is, on the side opposite to the hinge part (the right end side in FIG. 1), a bifurcated protruding part 10 is formed, which is diagonally downward and bifurcated in a plan view. A concave notch 12 having a radius of about 9.5 mm is formed in a substantially semicircular shape when viewed from the side.
[0042]
The lower connecting portion 4 and the upper connecting portion 5 are connected by passing the hinge horizontal shaft 8 into the horizontal holes of the hinge portions 6 and 7, and the upper connecting portion 5 is It is rotatable about a shaft 8. The horizontal axis 8 of the hinge portion of the connecting portions 4 and 5 is arranged so that the handlebar 23 is parallel to the frame when the upper post 2 is folded downward, and when the upper post 2 is upright. The axis and the horizontal axis 8 of both connecting parts 4 and 5 are not parallel, but are staggered at an angle of about 30 degrees here (for example, see FIG. 1).
[0043]
When the concave portions 11 of the lower connection portion 4 and the concave portions 12 of the upper connection portion 5 are rotated and overlapped by the horizontal shaft 8 of the hinge portion, The distance from the horizontal axis 8 is equal and the same shape so that they match when viewed from the side. Each of the distal ends of the double concave notches 11 and 12 is formed into a curved surface with no corners from the viewpoint of improving the slip between the outer peripheral surface of the hook 15 and the safety. .
[0044]
A female screw hole is horizontally provided in the central projecting portion 9 on the side opposite to the hinge portion of the lower connection portion 4 toward the hinge portion side, and the male screw rod 14 of the tightening tool 13 with a lever is screwed therein. A locking body 15 and a compression spring 16 are engaged with the male screw rod 14.
[0045]
The latching body 15 is made of an aluminum alloy here and has an outer shape capable of engaging with the concave notches 11 and 12, and is a short circle having a width of about 48.0 mm and an outer diameter of about 19.7 mm. A columnar member is used sideways, and is slidably engaged with the screw rod 14 through a hole in the center.
[0046]
The compression spring 16 has a coil shape and is engaged with the male screw rod 14 between the base 18 of the fastener 13 with the lever and the hooking body 15. The portions 4 and 5 are pressed toward the concave portions 11 and 12.
[0047]
A pull-up screw rod 22 is inserted through the center of the lower connecting portion 4 toward the lower end of the lower post 1, and a mouse is screwed into the lower end of the pull-up screw rod 22. The center protruding portion 9 and the forked protruding portion 10 having the concave notches 11 and 12 are different from the above, and the forked protruding portion 10 is provided on the lower connecting portion 4 and the center protruding portion is provided on the upper connecting portion 5. 9 may be formed.
[0048]
The state of use of each of the above embodiments is apparent from the description of the embodiment of the invention, and is omitted here to avoid duplication. Further, it is needless to say that each dimension shown in each of the above embodiments is merely an example.
[0049]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the folding bicycle handle according to the present invention has a simple configuration, is excellent in safety and reliability, and has an operability such that the folding state or the upright fixed state can be easily and quickly performed. This is a significant improvement.
[0050]
That is, in the folding bicycle handle according to the present invention, the upper and lower posts are normally fixed in an upright state at normal times, and the connecting fixing portion for connecting in a foldable manner as required can be rotated around the horizontal axis on one side. A substantially semicircular concave notch as viewed from the side is formed on each anti-hinge part side of the upper and lower connecting parts that have been moved, and from the side which is engaged with the threaded rod of the fastener with lever The latching body, which has a substantially circular shape when viewed, is pressed by a spring toward the concave notch portion and can be strongly engaged by tightening the lever.
[0051]
Therefore, a) To fix the upper post that has been folded downward in an upright position for traveling, turn the fastener with a lever to loosen the male screw bar, and then turn the folded upper post upward with the hinge. It can be performed only by operating the upper post so that the upper post is upright and the connecting portions overlap each other, and then tightening the fastener with the lever.
[0052]
B) At that time, the concave portion of each connecting portion is substantially semicircular, and the latching body urged by the spring is also substantially circular when viewed from the side, so that the upper post is substantially upright. When the two concave notches are just before overlapping when viewed from the side, the latching body pressed by the spring slides smoothly into the two concave notches and automatically and forcibly fits. The engagement of the latching body into the recessed portions causes the two connecting portions to be temporarily fixed, so that the upper post is also temporarily fixed in an upright state. It does not fall down easily, and the tightening tool with lever can be tightened with only one hand operation, which improves operability.
[0053]
C) Further, by the tightening of the above-mentioned lever-equipped fastener, the locking body is completely engaged and locked in the two concave notches, so that the upper connecting part overlaps with the lower connecting part. It will be hooked integrally in the state. Thus, the upper post can be firmly held and fixed upright on the lower post.
[0054]
D) On the other hand, if it is necessary to fold the upper post that was upright for traveling, for example, when parking a bicycle, turn the fastener with lever to loosen the male screw bar, and then lower the upper post downward. The folded state can be achieved by a simple operation of simply rotating the fold.
[0055]
E) At the stage when the male screw portion of the above-mentioned lever-equipped fastener is loosened, the latching body remains engaged in the two concave notches by the spring force, and the upper connecting portion and the upper post are the same as above. Since the upper post is in the temporarily fixed state, it does not accidentally fall down even if the upper post is not held with one hand, and is excellent in safety and operation.
[0056]
F) When the upper post is tilted downward in that state, the upper connecting portion rotates about the horizontal axis, and the concave notch moves upward from the same position as the concave notch of the lower connecting portion. The hooking body temporarily retreats and separates from the recessed portion, and the upper post can freely rotate. At this time, the concave portions of both connecting portions are formed in a substantially semicircular shape, and the latching member is also formed in a substantially circular shape when viewed from the side, so that the latching member is smoothly formed. The upper post is detached from the concave portion of the upper connecting portion, and the upper post can be easily folded by one-handed operation.
[0057]
G) When the upper post is upright, the handlebar axis and the horizontal axis for the hinge are not parallel, but if they are staggered at a certain angle, the handlebar will be almost parallel to the frame when folded. It can be folded to save space without bulking to the side.
