この発明は、香水、香油、エッセンシャルオイルなどから積極的に取り入れられる香りの提供に関する。

【従来の技術】
香水、香油、エッセンシャルオイル等の香り製品は、液体状態で密封されて保存、管理されており、使用時には香り成分を揮発させている。これらの香り製品を携帯する場合、肌や衣服、ハンカチなどの布類にスプレーなどによって液体状の香り製品を少量付与し、徐々に揮発させている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、人体に直接塗布すると肌に負担がかかる。また、布類や紙につける場合、乾燥するまでに時間がかかり、また、短時間で香らなくなってしまう。さらに、布類では、洗濯後も香りが染みついたり、変色したりする。
そこで、本発明では、取り扱いが容易で、香りの持続性が高い香り提供体を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、本発明では、香り溶液を吸収して揮発可能に保持するシート状の保持材と、前記保持材の両面を被覆して香り溶液の保持材側から外部への漏出を抑制する被覆材とを備え、前記被覆材は、少なくとも一部が保持材から揮発する香り成分を放出可能な放出部に形成されている香り提供体を提供する。
この香り提供体では、香り溶液を吸収させた保持材から香り成分が揮発されて、被覆材の放出部を通して外部に香り成分が供給される。保持材は、保持材側から外部への香り溶液の漏出を抑制する被覆材に被覆されているため、他部材に香り溶液が付着せず、また、シート状であるため取り扱いやすい。また、保持材は被覆材で被覆されているため、空気流に触れにくく、保持材中の香り成分の揮発速度が小さい。したがって、この香り提供体は、香りの持続性が高い。
なお、本発明において香り溶液とは、香水類、香油類、エッセンシャルオイル、これらの希釈溶液など、芳香性を備える種々の液体状物をいうものとする。

この香り提供体において、前記放出部は、不織布によって形成されていると、香り溶液の漏出の抑制と揮発された気体状の香り成分の放出とが良好となる。
また、この香り提供体において、前記放出部は、外部から保持材へ香り溶液を透過可能に形成されていると、被覆材の外側から香り溶液を吹き付けなどによって供給することで、保持材に香り溶液を吸収させることができる。
また、これらの香り提供体において、前記保持材は抄紙であると、シート状に形成したり、他の形状に整形したりすることが容易で、取り扱いやすい。

本発明の香り提供体では、前記被覆材は、少なくとも一部が前記保持材から分離自在とされていると、保持材から被覆材を分離して、この部分の保持材に香り溶液を供給することができる。分離自在な被覆材は、繰り返し保持材との一体化と分離とを行えるため、被覆材を保持材から分離して保持材に香り溶液を繰り返し供給することができ、香り提供体を継続して使用できる。
また、この構成では、前記保持材は、剥離可能な抄紙の多層体であると、より多量の香り溶液を保持材に保持させておくことができる。また、香り成分の揮発が少なくなったときや、香りの劣化を感じたときなどに表層の抄紙を剥離することで、適当な強さの香りや新鮮な香りを持続させることができる。
さらに、これらいずれかの香り提供体において、前記被覆材の外側に表示部が設けられていると、表示部に香り溶液が付着して表示が悪化することを抑制して、表示を良好に保つことができ、香りに視覚によるイメージを付加することができる。好ましくは、表示部は、被覆材の放出部以外の部分に設けられる。表示部を備える香り提供体は、表示部に香り溶液に関する説明や商品名、香り商品のイメージの写真、絵などを付与しておくことにより、視覚と嗅覚の両方に訴える広告媒体とすることができる。したがって、例えば、郵送や配布などの頒布や掲示によって販売促進を図るための手段として用いることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明の実施の形態について、図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
図１，２に本発明に係る香り提供体の第１の実施形態であるしおり（ブックマーク）を示す。しおり１は、本体３と紐５とを備えている。紐５は、シート状の本体３の一端側に形成されている貫通孔７に通されて、紐５の両側が結び合わされて本体３に一体化されている。

本体３は、通常のしおりと同様のシート状に形成されている。本体３は、図２に示すように、表示部１０、被覆材１２、保持材１５、被覆材１３をこの順で備える積層体である。

保持材１５は、香り溶液を吸収でき、香り成分を揮発可能に保持するシート状部材である。保持材１５は、布類や吸水性ポリマーなど、種々の香り溶液を吸収可能な材料で形成することができる。保持材１５は、紙類などパルプを含む材料を含有することが好ましい。パルプを含む材料であると、毛細管現象などにより、より長い間香り成分を保持できる。具体的には、保持材１５は洋紙、和紙などの紙類で形成されることが好ましい。紙類の場合、保持材１５は、厚みの小さいシート状に形成できる。また、香り溶液を吸収の前後で柔軟性や体積があまり変化しない。また、比較的容易にリサイクルすることも可能である。より好ましくは、保持材１５は、和紙であると香りの持続性が高い。また、香り溶液を迅速に、かつより多く吸収することができ、香り溶液を付着した後、速やかに香り溶液の漏出が抑制された状態となる。
なお、和紙は、コウゾ、ミツマタ、マニラ麻、化学パルプ、ガンピなどを原料として得られる公知の和紙であり、手漉き和紙でも機械漉き和紙であっても良く、機械漉きの和紙を良好に用いることができる。

被覆材１２，１３は、保持材１５に吸収されている香り溶液を外部に向かって透過しにくい材料で形成される。被覆材１２，１３は、フィルムのように、水密性、気密性を備える材料で形成されていても良いし、通気性、通水性を備える材料で形成され、他部材の保持材１５への接触を防ぐように設けられても良い。例えば、不織布では、通気性や通水性を備えるものを好適に利用することができる。不織布は、他部材と保持材１５との接触を防ぐとともに、他部材の接触圧を吸収することができる。また、保持材１５に接触圧が加わって香り溶液が染み出したとき、不織布の組織を利用した表面張力などによって香り溶液の外部への漏出を抑制できる。

本実施形態の被覆材１２，１３は、同一の不織布によって形成されている。また、被覆材１２，１３は、香り溶液を吸収しないことが好ましく、具体的には疎水性の不織布とされている。このような不織布は、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレンなどのポリオレフィンやポリエステル、レーヨンなどの繊維材料より形成することができる。また、例えば、ポリオレフィン−ポリエステル系複合材料など、２種以上の樹脂材料よりなる複合素材から構成されていても良い。不織布は、公知の方法によって製造できるが、接着剤などの結合剤を用いずにウェブに形成されている不織布が好ましい。例えば、繊維材料として用いられる熱可塑性樹脂による熱溶着を利用したスパンボンド法やサーマルボンド法、繊維によって絡合させるニードルパンチ法などによって形成された不織布が好適に用いられる。

保持材１５を被覆する被覆材１２，１３の少なくとも一部は、放出部に形成されている。放出部は、気体状の香り成分を保持材１５側から外部へ向かって放出できる部分で、通気性を備えるシート状部材によって形成することができる。本実施形態では、外部に面する被覆材１２全体が放出部に形成されている。

被覆材は、外部から保持材１５に香り溶液を供給できる供給部を備えていても良い。供給部は、外部から保持材１５側に向かって香り溶液を透過できる部分で、本実施形態では被覆材１２全体が供給部となっている。被覆材１２が疎水性の不織布の場合、表面に親水性を付与することで、香り溶液の透過性を向上させることができる。親水性は、例えば、被覆材１２の表面のコーティングや、表面部分の不織布繊維に綿などの親水性繊維を混入させることによって付与できる。

表示部１０は、視覚を利用したイメージを付与できる部分で、印刷が施された印刷紙などとすることができる。表示部１０には、例えば、保持材１５に吸収される香り溶液の製品としての名称やパッケージの写真など香り溶液に関する説明、広告や、香り溶液による香りに付加したいイメージの図柄、また、香りによってイメージを付加したい衣服、宝石、あるいは映画や物語の一場面、キャラクタや観光地の風景などの広告を付与できる。また、特にメッセージ性を備えない適当な色や模様が付与されたものであっても良い。
表示部１０は、印刷紙の表面にポリエチレンフィルムなどがラミネートされた積層体でも良い。

被覆材１２、保持材１５、被覆材１３、表示部１０の各部材どうしの結合形態は、特に限定されない。各層どうしは、全面で結合されていても良いし、部分で結合されていても良い。例えば、接着剤などによる結合や、不織布の繊維の紙繊維への絡合、不織布が含む熱可塑性樹脂による熱溶着などによって結合できる。本実施形態では、被覆材１２は、保持材１５の一面から厚み部分を覆って被覆材１３と表示部１０との間に端縁１２ａが位置するように配置されており、被覆材１３、および被覆材１２の端縁１２ａが、接着剤（粘着剤）で表示部１０に結合されて一体化されている。

このしおり１を香り提供体として利用する場合、被覆材１２の表面から保持材１５に向かって、香り溶液をスプレー等によって供給する。香り溶液は、被覆材１２を透過して保持材１５まで供給され、保持材１５に速やかに吸収される。保持材１５は被覆材１２で被覆されているため、被覆材１２に外側から接触する他部材への付着が抑制されて、香り溶液は安定に保持される。

保持材１５に保持されている香り成分は、徐々に揮発し、放出部である被覆材１２を通して外部に放出される。保持材１５に保持されている香り成分は、一度に揮発せず、ゆっくり揮発される。特に、被覆材１２によって被覆されているため、保持材１５周りでの気流が少なく、香り成分はゆっくり揮発する。したがって、このしおり１は、より多くの香り溶液を安定に保持するとともに、香り成分を少しずつ揮発して香りを提供でき、持続性の高い香り提供体となっている。

また、表示部１０は、被覆材１３を介して保持材１５に一体化されているため、香り溶液に接触するおそれが低減されている。このため、印刷などが香り溶液によって悪化することが抑制されており、良好な表示が維持される。
また、保持材１５には、被覆材１２を通して香り溶液を供給することができるため、所望の時期に、香り溶液を保持材１５に供給することができる。したがって、しおり１は適当な強さの香りを備えた状態で継続的に使用できる。

次に、本発明の第２の実施形態に係わる香りシート２０について、図３，４を参照して説明する。
香りシート２０は、シート状の本体２２と、一端が開放されて、本体２２を出し入れ自在な袋に形成されている容器３０とを備えている。
本体２２は、保持材２４と、被覆材２６と、印刷表示が施された表示部２７とがこの順で積層一体化されたシート状部材である。被覆材２６は、気密性のフィルムで形成されており、保持材２４に粘着層を介して密着されている。

容器３０は、一面が透明フィルムで形成されており、他面が不織布３２で形成された長方形状の袋である。不織布３２は、揮発した香り成分を透過可能に形成されており、放出部となっている。不織布３２は、被覆材２６とともに本発明の被覆材を構成する。

香りシート２０は、容器３０内に、本体２２が、表示部２７が容器３０の透明フィルムに対向するように収容されて形成されている。容器３０の不織布３２は、保持材２４の被覆材２６で被覆されていない側を被覆している。保持材２４から揮発される香り成分は、不織布３２を通して外部に放出される。また、容器３０から本体２２を取り出して保持材２４を露出させることで、保持材２４に直接香り溶液を供給することができる。

この香りシート２０では、香り溶液に被覆材２６や不織布３２を透過させずに保持材２４に香り溶液を供給できるため、香りシート２０に接触した他部材に香り溶液が付着する可能性が良好に低減されている。また、第１の実施形態のしおり１と同様、不織布３２を通して香り溶液を提供することもできる。したがって、例えば香りシート２０において、最初に保持材２４に香り溶液を供給した後、容器３０に本体２２を入れて開口部分を閉じてしまっても、不織布３２側から香り溶液を供給することができ、繰り返し利用できる。また、この香りシート２０では、表示部２７に限定されず、容器３０の透明フィルム部分なども表示に用いることもでき、立体的な意匠など種々の外見に形成できる。また、表示部２７は、容器３０の透明フィルムによって保護されているため、フィルムやシートなどに限定されず、押し花やちぎり絵などの立体的な表示に形成することが容易である。

また、第２の実施形態の香りシート２０は、図４に示すような多層構造の保持材３７を備える本体３５を備えていても良い。図４に示す本体３５の保持材３７は、例えば、和紙を複数回、重ねて漉くことによって得られ、剥離可能な複数の保持層３９で構成されている。保持材３７の一方の表層には、図３の本体２２と同様、粘着層を介して気密性の被覆材２８と表示部２９とがこの順で積層一体化されている。

この本体３５では、保持材３７は、厚みが大きいため、より多くの香り溶液を安定に吸着して保持することができる。このため、香りの持続性が大きくなる。また、表層から離れている保持層３９中では、香り溶液が空気により触れにくくなっており、香り成分の劣化を抑制して、新鮮な香りを安定に保持できる。
また、香りが弱くなったり、香りが劣化したりした場合などに、表層の保持層３９を剥離して除去することにより、劣化した香り成分を除去し、空気との接触が少ない状態で保持された香り成分を揮発しやすい状態にすることができる。すなわち、この香り提供体は、より新鮮で、適当な強さの香りを継続的に提供することができる。この構成は、特に、空気による酸化などによって劣化しやすいエッセンシャルオイル（精油）類に好適である。

本発明に係る香り提供体の第３の実施形態について、図５を参照して説明する。図５に示す香り提供体は、箱型の容器４０に形成されている。容器４０は、物品を収容可能な箱状部分４２と蓋部４４とを備えている。箱状部分４２は、シート状部材が接着剤などを用いた結合や、折り込みなどによって箱状に形成されて成り、物品を出し入れできる開口を備えている。蓋部４４は、箱状部分４２の一面から延長されているシート状部分で、箱状部分４２の開口を塞ぐ大きさに形成されている。蓋部４４は、箱状部分４２に形成された切り込み４２ａに先端部４４ａが挿入されて、容器４０の開口が閉じた状態に係止可能とされており、開閉自在となっている。

この箱型の容器４０は、全体または容器４０の一部を構成するシート状部材が図２に示すようなシートで形成されて、香り提供体となっている。この場合、容器４０の外面を構成する被覆材は、気密性を備え、容器４０の内面を構成する被覆材に放出部が形成されていることが好ましい。この形態では、容器４０の内部に香りを拡散させることができるとともに、外部には香りが洩れにくい。したがって、容器４０内に比較的強い香りを長期にわたって提供できる。
また、この容器４０を、従来の容器に代えて用いることにより、香りの提供のために他部材を必要としない。

なお、特に図示しないが、香り提供体の異なる形態として、公知の容器と、この容器内に放出部を備える被覆材で被覆された保持材が収容される形態でも良い。第３の実施形態やこれらの形態では、香り提供体が保持材から揮発する香り成分を拡散状態で保持できる開閉自在な空間部分を備えることにより、種々の用途に香りを提供することができる。常時は周囲への香りの拡散を抑制した状態で携帯、保管などし、所望の時期のみ空間部分を開放して香りを感じることができる。

また、例えば、ウェットティッシュ、油取り紙のような紙類や、ハンカチ、衣類などの布類、小物類など種々の部材に、香り提供体で提供される香りを移り香として他部材に付与できる。これらの他部材は、香り成分を含む空気に晒されることによって香りが付与されるため、直接吹き付ける場合のように、香り溶液が大量に付着して、変質などするおそれが無い。

例えば、ウェットティッシュのケースにおいて、ウェットティッシュの取り出し口を開閉自在にシールする蓋体の容器側面に本発明の香り提供体を、放出部が取り出し口に対向するように設けることができる。この方法では、市販のウェットティッシュに香り提供体の保持材に吸収させた香り溶液の香りを付加することができる。

本発明は、上述の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の構成を備える範囲において種々の変更、改良が可能である。
被覆材は、シート状の保持材の両面を被覆可能に設けられていれば良く、保持材の両面を被覆する被覆材が一体に形成されていても良いし、同一面を被覆する被覆材が分割されて部分的に異なる材質とされていても良い。また、被覆材は、保持材に密着していても良いし、図３の容器３０のように保持材との間に隙間が形成されていても良い。例えば、被覆材が保持材を収容可能な袋状の容器とされていても良い。図３の容器３０は、透明フィルムと不織布３２とを被覆材として、和紙などの保持材のみが容器３０内に収容される構成でも良い。この場合、適宜透明フィルムまたは不織布３２の外側に表示部が設けられても良い。

また、被覆材に気密性を備える部位と放出部とを適当に配置することにより、所定の位置および／または向きに選択的に香り成分を放出する香り提供体とすることができる。また、表示部を備える香り提供体では、表示部と保持材との間に位置する被覆材が気密性を備えていると、表示部が香り成分や香り溶液の揮発性溶媒などに曝露されることが良好に抑制されて、表示が良好に維持される。

また、揮発した香り成分を透過可能な、いわゆる通気性（透湿性）を備える被覆材としては、不織布に限定されず、無数の微細な開孔が形成されている多孔性フィルムであっても良い。多孔性フィルムは、公知の方法で成形されるポリオレフィン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリエステル（ポリエチレンテレフタレート等）などの延伸フィルムなどに突起物の押付け、レーザーによる穿孔、あるいは、予めフィルム材料として無機フィラーを練りこんだ材料を用いた延伸成形などによって得られる。

また、図２に示す構成の香り提供体は、しおりとしての利用に限定されず、切断などによって容易に所望の形状、大きさにすることができ、所望の部位に適当な大きさ、形状にして使用することができる。例えば、ブックカバーやノートの表紙、名刺、ポスター、封筒、ランプシェードなどに形成することができる。
また、香り提供体は、図５に示す容器４０のように、曲げ成形等によって、種々の形状に形成することができる。

また、図３に示すように、香り提供体が分離可能な２部材からなる場合、保持材と容器との組み合わせを変えて、種々の方法で楽しむことができる。図３に示す容器では、本体２２を変えることで、香りを変えたり、異なる表示にしたりすることができる。

本発明の香り提供体は、匂い袋やアロマポットのように場所をとることがなく、また、簡単に使用することができるため、手軽に香りを楽しんだり、持ち運びや頒布、携帯が容易である。このため、以下に提示するような種々の利用方法が可能である。
例えば、メッセージカードなどの郵便や贈答品の包装、頒布用のチラシ、サンプル品などに添付したり、封筒やサンプル品の容器そのものを本発明の香り提供体で形成して香りを添付することができる。
また、香り提供体を鞄、筆記具入れ、箪笥の引き出しなど開閉自在な空間部分に入れて、開け閉めの際に香りを感じたり、これらの空間部分に収容された物品に香りを付与したりできる。また、ポスターや置物などの裏面に香り提供体を貼っておくことで、部屋全体に香り成分が拡散するようにしても良い。

本発明の香り提供体は、被覆材又は表示部の外側に面ファスナ、粘着テープなど、他部材の表面に固定できる固着部を備えていても良い。この構成であると、壁紙、車室内、衣服の裏、鞄の内側、ポスター置物などの裏面などに香り提供体を貼り付けて、使用することができる。この形態では、固着部と異なる面に香り溶液を保持材側に透過可能な供給部分が設けられることによって、貼り付けた状態のまま香り溶液を保持材に供給することができる。なお、放出部は粘着テープなどで他部材に貼り付けられる面に設けられていても良く、香り成分は良好に放出される。あるいは、好みの写真、絵葉書などを固着部で香り提供体に一体化することができ、視覚と嗅覚の両方で楽しめる香り提供体となる。

また、本発明に係る香り提供体の保持材に香り溶液を吸収させて、この香り提供体を所定領域中に分散させることにより、所定領域全体に香りを提供することができる。ここで所定領域とは、上述のような比較的小さい密閉状空間に限定されず、劇場、映画館や野球場、サッカー場、公園、アミューズメントパークなど種々の屋内外を問わない密閉状あるいは開放状の空間を含む。この形態では、所定領域内全体に所定の香りを提供することができ、各種イベントや映画、劇、チームに香りによる嗅覚的なイメージを付与することができる。香り提供体の分散は、例えば、劇場、映画館などの壁面に香り提供体を固着させることによって行える。また、会場のチケットを香り提供体で構成したり、会場内で販売する物品に香り提供体を添付したりすることにより、会場内を動くスタッフ、観客が携行する物品や乗り物などの動的媒体を利用して分散させても良い。

また、例えば、芸能人や特定のクラブチーム、劇団などの集団について、劇場やホールなどの特定の場に限定されず、あるいは、ＣＤ、ＤＶＤ、Ｔシャツ、キーホルダなどの物品について香り提供体を付与して頒布することにより人物、団体などに香りによる嗅覚的なイメージを付与することができる。特にＣＤなど聴覚的な嗜好品については、ＣＤジャケットや本発明の香り提供体による視覚的なイメージと、本発明の香り提供体による嗅覚的なイメージの、両方が付加されるため、人体のより多くの感覚を用いて楽しめるものとなる。

本発明では、取り扱いが容易で、香りの持続性が高い香り提供体を提供することにより、種々の態様や方法での香りの利用が可能となる。
