Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a flexible printed wiring board, and more particularly, to a flexible printed wiring board provided with a retaining means for a connector.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In many cases, a flexible printed wiring board is used as a relay board for connecting electrical components, and since it is flexible and freely bendable, it is possible to connect electrical components existing on different planes and to move close to and away from each other. It is often used for connection between electrical components.
[0003]
As shown in FIG. 4, the flexible printed wiring board 10 includes a flexible base film 11 made of, for example, a polyimide film, a conductor lead 12 formed on one side in this example, and an insulating coating covering the conductor lead formation surface. 13, and a connection terminal portion 14 is provided at an end thereof.
[0004]
The insulating coating 13 is not formed on the connection terminal portion 14, and the conductor lead 12 is exposed. When the connection terminal portion 14 is connected to the other party's printed circuit board, if it is detachable in consideration of maintenance or the like, a connector 20 for printed wiring is used. Although not shown, the connector 20 is provided with, for example, a fork-type or bellows-type female contact having spring elasticity.
[0005]
The connection with the conductor lead 12 is established by inserting the connection terminal portion 14 from the insertion port 20a against the spring elasticity of the female contact. Note that a reinforcing plate 15 may be attached to the connection terminal portion 14 in order to facilitate insertion of the connection terminal portion 14 and withstand repeated attachment and detachment.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The connection terminal portion 14 inserted into the connector 20 is held by the spring elasticity of the female contact. However, in a use environment where a large amount of vibration is applied, for example, in a portable device or an in-vehicle device, the connection terminal portion 14 does not come off. It is necessary to take appropriate measures.
[0007]
Various proposals have been made to prevent this from happening, but many of them are buckle-type or resilient fitting-type, which not only complicates workability but also makes them suitable for small devices due to their size. No In addition, there was a problem that the cost was high.
[0008]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a flexible printed wiring board having a simple structure and good workability, and having a retaining means that is small and can be manufactured at low cost.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a flexible printed wiring board having a connection terminal portion to be inserted into a connector for a printed wiring board. It is characterized in that an engaging means for retaining that can be engaged with the rear surface of the side is integrally provided.
[0010]
According to this configuration, after the connection terminal portion is inserted into the connector, it is possible to prevent the connection terminal portion from coming off simply by engaging the engagement means with the back surface on the side opposite to the insertion port of the connector.
[0011]
In this case, in order to obtain a more reliable drop-out prevention effect, it is preferable to adopt an annular engagement frame having an internal space into which the connector is fitted as the engagement means.
[0012]
Further, the present invention includes the following aspects. In the case where the connection terminal portion is formed of another substrate attached to an end of the flexible printed wiring board via a predetermined bonding means, the engagement means may be formed integrally with the other substrate. As another embodiment, the engaging means can be formed integrally with a base film included in the flexible printed wiring board.
[0013]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 is a perspective view showing the configuration of a connection terminal portion of a flexible printed wiring board according to the present invention together with a connector, FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the flexible printed wiring board viewed from the connector side in FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is A in FIG. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line A.
[0014]
First, as shown in FIG. 3, the flexible printed wiring board 100 also has a basic configuration similar to that described with reference to FIG. It has a conductor lead 12 formed on one side and an insulating film 13 for covering the conductor lead formation surface, and a connection terminal portion 14 is provided at an end thereof. In this example, the connection terminal portion 14 is provided. Is drawn out to the outside by another substrate 110.
[0015]
That is, the separate substrate 110 includes a tongue piece 111 to be inserted into the connector 20, and on one surface (the upper surface in FIG. 3), a lead 112 corresponding to the conductor lead 12 exposed to the connection terminal 14. Is formed.
[0016]
The separate substrate 110 and the connection terminal portion 14 can be electrically and mechanically connected by an adhesive resin (not shown) such as an anisotropic conductive film. In this example, a flexible polyester film is used for the separate substrate 110. If necessary, a reinforcing plate may be attached to the surface on the opposite side of the extraction lead 112.
[0017]
In order to prevent the tongue piece 111 inserted into the connector 20 from coming off, the separate board 110 is integrally provided with an engagement frame 120 as an engagement means for the connector 20.
[0018]
The engagement frame 120 includes base pieces 121, 121 extending in the left-right direction from the base side of the tongue piece 111, and a tongue piece in the same direction as the tongue piece 111 from each tip of the base pieces 121, 121. A rectangular shape including a pair of left and right side pieces 122, 122 extended longer than the portion 111 and an engagement piece 123 bridged between the side pieces 122, 122 and into which the connector 20 can be fitted. It is formed as an annular body.
[0019]
The side pieces 122, 122 are set to have a length such that the engaging piece 123 is hooked on the back surface 20b of the connector 20 when the tongue piece 111 is inserted into the connector 20. In addition, the back surface 20b of the connector 20 is a surface located on the opposite side to the insertion port 20a.
[0020]
Therefore, according to the flexible printed wiring board 100, after the tongue piece 111 is inserted into the insertion port 20 a of the connector 20, the engagement frame 123 is put on the connector 20 so as to cover the engagement piece 123. By a very simple operation of engaging with the back surface 20b of the connector 20, the detachment from the connector 20 can be reliably prevented.
[0021]
As a modification, the engagement frame 120 may be formed integrally with the base film 11 of the flexible printed wiring board 100. Further, the engagement piece 123 may be cut off in the middle. Further, in the above-described embodiment, the separate substrate 110 is attached to the connection terminal portion 14. However, the connection terminal portion 14 having the mode described in FIG. 4 is also included in the present invention.
[0022]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, in a flexible printed wiring board having a connection terminal portion to be inserted into a connector for a printed wiring board, with the connection terminal portion inserted into the connector, the connector on the side opposite to the insertion port Since the back surface is integrally provided with the engaging means for preventing the detachment, the detachment from the connector can be reliably prevented while the configuration is simple.
[0023]
Also, since the engaging means only needs to be hooked to the connector, the workability is very simple. In addition, since the engagement means is made of a film material, it can be made small and at low cost.
