Description

【0001】

[0001]
The present invention relates to a connector which is used for electric wiring of, for example, an automobile and has a rear holder for locking a connection terminal housed in a housing.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In this type of conventional connector, a rear holder is engaged with the rear part of the housing so as to be able to move back and forth, and the rear holder is engaged with the housing at a temporary engagement position inserted halfway and a fully engaged position at which the rear holder is fully pushed. There are times when you try to. This is because when the rear holder is attached after housing the connection terminal in the housing, the wires connected to the connection terminal must be individually inserted into the rear holder. This is for passing.
[0003]
Further, a locking lance for locking the connection terminal housed in the housing may not be provided on the housing but may be provided integrally with the rear holder. In this case, the molding of the locking lance becomes easy, and the locking lance that requires relatively expensive and durable material is provided on the rear holder that requires only a small amount of resin, so that the overall cost is low.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in this conventional connector, since the locking lance is formed in a shape that restricts the rearward movement of the connection terminal, the connection terminal inserted into the housing is pushed forward during the temporary engagement of the rear holder. In this case, there is a problem that the locking state between the locking lance and the connection terminal is easily broken.
[0005]
An object of the present invention is to solve such a problem and to provide a connector capable of always ensuring a stable locking state between a locking lance and a connection terminal.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
A connector according to the present invention for achieving the above object includes a housing for accommodating a connection terminal to which an electric wire is fixed via a wire coating fixing portion in a terminal accommodating chamber, and a first and a second engagement at a rear portion of the housing. A rear holder engaged in a position, the rear holder includes a locking lance protruding forward, and a groove provided in a base of the locking lance, and the rearward movement of the connection terminal by the locking lance. , And the forward movement of the connection terminal is restricted by locking the wire covering fixing portion by the groove.
[0007]

Then, when the terminal connection portion 21 of the connection terminal 12 comes into contact with the front regulation portion 56, the advance of the connection terminal 12 is stopped. At this time, the guide projections 53 and 54 of the rear holder 14 abut against the front walls of the guide windows 38 and 39 of the housing, and the locking projections 55 and 56 respectively fit into the locking grooves of the housing 13. Engage with the engagement position.
[0019]
As described above, in the reference example, at both the temporary engagement position and the full engagement position of the rear holder 14, the side surface of the locking lance 58 comes into contact with the partition plate 31 via the stabilizer pieces 22 and 23. The lateral movement of the locking lance 58 can be restricted. In addition, the terminal locking portion 61 of the locking lance 58 locks the rear end of the terminal connection portion 21 and the front edges of the stabilizer pieces 22 and 23 lock the front walls of the guide grooves 63 and 64. The longitudinal movement of the connection terminal 12 can be restricted not only at the full engagement position but also at the temporary engagement position.
[0020]
FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view of the embodiment, in which the connection terminal 71 is not provided with a stabilizer piece, but is provided with a terminal connection portion 72, a core wire fixing portion 73, and an electric wire coating fixing portion 74 in this order. In addition, the coating of the electric wire 11 is fixed by an electric wire coating fixing portion 74 having an increased outer diameter. On the other hand, at the base of the locking lance 84 of the holder main body 82 of the rear holder 81, a fixing portion fitting groove 83 into which the wire coating fixing portion 74 having a larger outer diameter is formed is formed. A terminal locking portion 85 for locking the rear end of the portion 72 is formed.
[0021]
In this embodiment, at the temporary engagement position and the full engagement position of the rear holder 81, the locking lance 84 locks the rear portion of the terminal connection portion 72 to restrict the rearward movement of the connection terminal 71, and The front wall of the fitting groove 83 locks the wire coating fixing portion 74 and regulates the forward movement of the connection terminal 71.
[0022]
