Abstract
Description
【0001】

【0044】
一のATS203は、ATSI(Audio Title Set Information)211を先頭として、夫々にID番号を有する複数のAOB(Audio Object)210から構成される。
【0045】
を組合わせた論理的区分であるプログラムチェインに関する種々の情報であるAPGCI(Audio Program Chain Information)等の情報が記録される。
FIFO(First In First Out)メモリ等により構成され、入力された復調信号Sdmを一時的に記憶すると共に、ストリームスイッチ84が閉とされているときには、記憶した復調信号Sdmを連続的に出力する。
【0092】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention belongs to the technical field of an information recording medium such as a high-density optical disk capable of recording information such as video and audio represented by a DVD at high density, and a reproducing apparatus for reproducing information from the information recording medium. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, so-called LD (Laser Disk), CD (Compact Disk), and the like have been widely used as optical disks on which information such as video and audio is recorded.
[0003]
In these LDs, video information and audio information are recorded together with time information indicating the time at which each piece of information should be reproduced based on the reproduction start position of each LD. For this reason, in addition to general normal reproduction in which recorded information is reproduced in the recording order, for example, in a CD, only a desired music is extracted from a plurality of recorded music to be listened to. It is also possible to perform playback, such as listening to the music while changing the playback order at random.
[0004]
However, in the LD and the like, it is said that a viewer has a choice of a video to be displayed and a sound to be reproduced, and it is not possible to perform a so-called interactive change-rich reproduction such that the viewer selects and views them. There was a problem.
[0005]
That is, for example, when a foreign movie recorded on an LD is viewed, a language used for subtitles displayed on the screen is selected (for example, by selecting Japanese subtitles and original subtitles). ) When displaying or listening to music recorded on a CD, it is possible to select the sound of the music (for example, to select whether to listen to English lyrics or Japanese lyrics). You can't.
[0006]
On the other hand, at present, proposals and developments on DVDs, which are optical discs whose storage capacity has been improved by about 10 times without changing the size of the optical discs themselves, in comparison with the above-mentioned conventional CDs, have been actively pursued. If audio and the like are recorded in the plurality of subtitles and in a plurality of languages, the viewer can select it to enjoy the interactive and varied reproduction.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Since a DVD has a large storage capacity, when recording audio information such as music, audio information corresponding to several normal CDs can be recorded on one DVD. Hereinafter, a DVD on which only audio (music) information is recorded, except for some still images, will be referred to as an audio DVD.
[0008]
For example, when creating an audio DVD for one musician, a plurality of CD albums of the musician can be recorded on one audio DVD. In addition, a music collection in which a plurality of music pieces of the musician are collected based on a certain theme can be recorded as an album on the audio DVD.
[0009]
For example, in an audio DVD relating to the Beatles, a plurality of original albums of the Beatles are recorded on one audio DVD, and among songs included in the plurality of albums, only songs in which John Lennon takes lead vocals are collected. You can create an audio DVD by adding a new album such as "John Lennon Vocals."
[0010]
In such a case, when a plurality of albums recorded on the audio DVD are sequentially reproduced, the same music is reproduced a plurality of times. That is, since the same audio information is recorded on the audio DVD a plurality of times, in the above example, the song "Let It Be" is played during the playback of the original album "Let It Be". Once, and then again in the album "John Lennon Vocals".
[0011]
However, recording audio information of the same content a plurality of times on an audio DVD in this manner has a problem that storage capacity is wasted.
[0012]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and a problem thereof is to efficiently utilize the recording capacity of a recording medium without duplicating recording of the same audio information on the recording medium a plurality of times. An object of the present invention is to provide a recording medium on which information is recorded so as to enable the interactive reproduction as described above, and a reproducing apparatus for the same.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the invention according to
[0014]
According to the information recording medium configured as described above, since a plurality of pieces of reproduction control information regulate the reproduction of the same audio entity information, it is not necessary to record the audio entity information redundantly for each piece of reproduction control information. It is possible to record information efficiently.
[0015]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the information recording medium according to the first aspect, the information recording medium includes an information group including a set of unit reproduction control information other than the overlapping unit reproduction control information, and the overlapping unit reproduction control information. And an information group composed of a set of unit reproduction control information.
[0016]
According to the information recording medium configured as described above, various information groups can be defined by using limited audio entity information recorded on the information recording medium.
[0017]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the information recording medium according to the first aspect, the information recording medium has centralized reproduction control information including all the unit reproduction control information included in the recording medium.
[0018]
According to the information recording medium configured as described above, all the reproduction control information can be obtained by referring to the centralized reproduction control information, so that the reproduction processing is simplified.
[0019]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the information recording medium according to the first aspect, the unit reproduction control information included in the centralized reproduction control information indicates a recording position of the corresponding substantial audio information on the recording medium. The reproduction control information includes the same address information, and the reproduction control information corresponding to the same actual audio information and the reproduction control information other than the reproduction control information include the same address information.
[0020]
According to the information recording medium configured as described above, the playback control information corresponding to the same audio entity information can be known by referring to the address information of the audio entity information corresponding to each piece of playback control information. Therefore, when non-overlapping reproduction is specified, the same audio entity information can be prevented from being repeatedly reproduced.
[0021]
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the information recording medium according to the first aspect, the centralized reproduction control information includes duplication information indicating whether or not each of the reproduction control information is the duplication reproduction control information. The configuration is as follows.
[0022]
According to the information recording medium configured as described above, by referring to the duplication information, the duplication reproduction control information that regulates reproduction of the same audio entity information as other unit reproduction control information can be identified. Therefore, when non-overlapping reproduction is specified, the same audio entity information can be prevented from being repeatedly reproduced.
[0023]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the information recording medium according to the first aspect, the centralized reproduction control information includes attribute information for each of the reproduction control information, and the attribute information includes at least a corresponding entity audio. [0063]
Based on the logical format described above, the creator specifies the information divided in the physical structure, thereby forming music to be heard by the viewer.
(2)Contents of audio information recorded on audio DVD
Before describing the details of the embodiment, a recording mode of audio information on an audio DVD will be roughly described. An audio DVD has a considerably larger recording capacity than a CD (compact disk), and can record music information corresponding to a plurality of CDs in one audio DVD. Here, a group of audio information corresponding to one CD album on the audio DVD corresponds to the
[0064]
For example, suppose that there is an audio DVD that collects a plurality of Beatles original CD albums. In this case, the audio DVD includes all songs recorded in a plurality (for example, four) of CD albums such as "Let It Be" and "Abby Road". Audio information corresponding to each CD album is recorded as an
[0065]
In the above example, one original CD album corresponds to one title group. In addition, audio information collected based on a certain theme from audio information recorded on one audio DVD A title group can also be constituted by a group of.
[0066]
For example, in addition to the title groups # 1 to # 4 corresponding to a plurality of original CD albums on the audio DVD, John Lennon takes lead vocals from among the songs recorded on the four original CD albums. A title group can be configured as “John Lennon vocal collection” (for example, title group # 5) or “Paul McCartney vocal collection” (for example, title group # 6). However, for the songs included in the title groups # 5 and # 6, only the songs belonging to the title groups # 1 to # 4 are reproduced. That is, as the actual audio information recorded on the audio DVD, the audio information of the same music as the plurality of title groups # 1 to # 4 overlaps on the audio DVD as separate title groups # 5 and # 6. It is not recorded.
[0067]
This is to prevent the capacity of the storage medium from being wasted by recording the same information redundantly. Therefore, the audio information of the songs included in the title groups # 5 and # 6 is recorded in each ATS 203 on the audio DVD as the audio information of the songs included in the title groups # 1 to # 4. . The music included in the title groups # 5 and # 6 is reproduced by referring to the reproduction control information (in this case, the reproduction control information described in the AMG and the ATSI) in the title group. This is done by reproducing the information.
[0068]
A collection of audio information (such as a collection of XX) created based on a certain theme or the like as described above is also referred to as a “collection”. Therefore, it can be said that the “collection” is a title group including substantive information recorded as a title group different from itself.
[0069]
The title group can be considered to correspond to a group of songs recognized by the user. In the above-described example, title groups # 1 to # 4 corresponding to four original CD albums and title groups # 5 and # 6 corresponding to two collections are recorded on one audio DVD. In this case, the content list attached to the audio DVD is the same as including a total of six different CD albums. Actually, the substantive information of the title group corresponding to the two collections (# 5, # 6) is the audio information of the songs included in the title group corresponding to the four original CD albums, and the substantive audio information Is not duplicated on the audio DVD. However, the user does not recognize such a situation, and can recognize that six different CD albums are recorded on one audio DVD. Therefore, regardless of the recording state of the substantial audio information on the audio DVD, the title group can be considered as a group of songs recognized by the user.
(3)Audio intensive information
Next, among the recorded information on the audio DVD, audio concentrated information will be described. The audio concentrated information refers to a set of necessary information related to reproduction of audio information recorded on the audio DVD, and is recorded in the lead-in area LI or
[0070]
As described above, in the audio DVD, the substance of the audio information is recorded in each ATS 203, and the control information necessary for the reproduction and the additional information on the attribute of the audio information are stored in the
[0071]
By the way, the reproduction control information (APGCI) in the control data of the
[0072]
Therefore, in the present invention, reproduction control information for all tracks (songs) recorded on the audio DVD disk is recorded in the lead-in area LI or the
[0073]
FIG. 3 shows an example of audio concentrated information, which is recorded in the lead-in area LI or the
[0074]
In the example of FIG. 3, the audio DVD has four title groups. It is assumed that each title group corresponds to each ATS (
[0075]
The audio concentration information further includes a start address and an end address of each track (song). These may be absolute addresses on the audio DVD or relative addresses from the position where the audio concentration information is recorded.
[0076]
In addition, the audio concentration information includes audio attribute information. The audio attribute information is information on attributes of audio information of all tracks recorded on the audio DVD. Specifically, the audio attribute information is information such as a coding method of the audio information, a sampling frequency, the number of quantization bits, the number of channels included as audio information, and the number of emphasis of the audio information. The audio DVD playback apparatus automatically performs playback so as to match the audio attribute information.
[0077]
Title groups # 3 and # 4 in FIG. 3 are title groups corresponding to the above-described collections. That is, although the user apparently recognizes the album as a different album from the title groups # 1 and # 2, it actually includes the tracks included in the
[0078]
Also, the duplication flag is not always required to be provided in the audio concentration information. If the overlap flag does not exist in the audio concentrated information, it is possible to determine whether or not the track is an overlap track by comparing the address information. That is, the track address information reproduced so far is stored in the memory, and it is determined whether or not the same address information of the track reproduced this time exists in the memory. If the same address information does not exist in the memory, the current track is reproduced, and if the same address information exists in the memory, it is determined that the track is a duplicate track and is not reproduced.
[0079]
In the column of the overlap flag in FIG. 3, the track on which the audio information corresponding to the track is recorded is indicated by a number for convenience of explanation. For example, the display of “(1-1)” of
[0080]
If the duplication flag is recorded in this manner, when dubbing the music information recorded on the audio DVD to the above-mentioned MD (mini-disc) or the like, the same music is reproduced and copied to the MD. Can be prevented.
[0081]
As described above, one title group is recognized by the user as equivalent to one CD album. Therefore, if the user inputs an instruction to reproduce the audio DVD having the contents shown in FIG. 3 in order from the
[0082]
In such a case, if the overlapping track is determined by referring to the overlapping flag or comparing the address information, and the overlapping track is not reproduced, it is possible to prevent the same music from being repeatedly reproduced. That is, all the substantial audio information (songs) recorded on the disc can be reproduced once (hereinafter, this reproduction mode is referred to as "non-overlapping reproduction").
[0083]
The audio intensive information further records a reproduction time. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3, the playback time of each track, the total playback time of each group, the total playback time of a disc, and the total recording time of a disc. Here, the total reproduction time of the disc is a reproduction time when the tracks of each group are reproduced in order (normal reproduction), and for a duplicate track, it is a reproduction time when the same track as another group is reproduced again. . On the other hand, the total recording time of the disc is the total reproduction time in the non-overlapping reproduction, that is, the mode in which the same music is not repeatedly reproduced. The total recording time is useful information when dubbing the music of the audio DVD to a tape or the like as described above.
[0084]
Alternatively, only the playback time of each track may be stored in the audio concentrated information, and the total playback time of each track may be obtained by adding the playback time of each track. For example, the total disc playback time is obtained by summing the playback times of tracks included in all title groups. The total recording time of the disc is obtained by referring to the duplication flag or comparing the address information to determine the duplication track, and summing the reproduction times of the tracks included in all the title groups excluding the duplication track.
[0085]
The actual playback operation of the playback device will be described later.

If there is a next track (step S19: YES), the start address, end address, attribute information, and the like are obtained, and the track is reproduced (steps S16 to S17). The above processing is repeated up to the last track of the last title group, and when the reproduction of all the tracks on the disc is completed (step S19: NO), the normal reproduction operation ends. With the above operation, all the tracks are reproduced. That is, in the

Then, when the reproduction of all the tracks whose duplication flags are “0” ends (step S13: NO), the reproduction processing ends.
[0113]
With the above operation, the music recorded on the audio DVD disk is reproduced once each. Therefore, in the example shown in FIG. 3, the reproducing apparatus reproduces all the tracks of the
[0114]
Next, another embodiment of a method of reproducing audio information recorded on an audio DVD will be described with reference to FIG. This embodiment is a flowchart showing a reproduction processing procedure in a case where duplicate information (duplicate flag) is not included in the audio concentrated information. In this case, since there is no duplicate information, it is determined whether or not the track is a duplicate track by comparing the address information of each track as described above. Specifically, the address information of the track reproduced in the past is stored in the
[0115]
In FIG. 7, first, a reproduction mode selection screen is displayed (step S21), and the user selects either the normal reproduction mode or the non-overlapping reproduction mode (step S23). When the normal reproduction mode is selected, the same processing as in the embodiment shown in FIG. 6 is executed, and normal reproduction is performed (steps S25 to S31).

As described above, the reproduction in the non-overlap mode can be performed quickly and easily even when there is no overlap information because the information of each track, particularly the address information, is recorded as the audio concentrated information in the lead-in area LI or
[0121]
As described above, according to the playback device of the present embodiment, normal playback and non-overlapping playback can be performed by the user's selection. Therefore, audio information can be reproduced in an optimal manner according to the user's request.
[0122]
In addition, according to the selection of normal reproduction or non-overlapping reproduction, the required reproduction time in each case is displayed before the start of reproduction. Therefore, the user can know in advance the reproduction time by the specified reproduction method. This is particularly useful for selecting the non-overlapping reproduction when dubbing to a tape or the like, for checking the recording time of the tape on the recording side, and the like.
[0123]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, since a plurality of pieces of reproduction control information regulate reproduction of the same audio entity information, it is necessary to record the audio entity information redundantly for each piece of reproduction control information. Is lost, and efficient recording of information becomes possible.
[0124]
According to the second aspect of the invention, various information groups can be defined by using limited audio entity information recorded on the information recording medium.
[0125]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, all the reproduction control information can be obtained by referring to the centralized reproduction control information, so that the reproduction processing is simplified.
[0126]
According to the fourth aspect, by referring to the address information of the audio entity information corresponding to each piece of the playback control information, it is possible to know the playback control information corresponding to the same audio entity information. Therefore, when non-overlapping reproduction is specified, the same audio entity information can be prevented from being repeatedly reproduced.
[0127]
According to the fifth aspect of the invention, by referring to the duplication information, it is possible to identify the duplication reproduction control information that regulates reproduction of the same audio entity information as the other unit reproduction control information. Therefore, when non-overlapping reproduction is specified, the same audio entity information can be prevented from being repeatedly reproduced.
[0128]
According to the sixth aspect of the present invention, by referring to the centralized reproduction information, it is possible to acquire the attributes of the audio entity information corresponding to all the reproduction control information, and perform the processing at the time of reproduction quickly and easily. be able to.
[0129]
According to the seventh aspect of the present invention, since the centralized reproduction control information in the lead-in area is read first, the subsequent reproduction processing and the like can be performed quickly and efficiently.
[0130]
According to the invention described in claim 8, when the normal reproduction is designated, the reproduction device reproduces a plurality of pieces of audio entity information according to all the unit reproduction control information included in the centralized reproduction control information. On the other hand, when non-overlapping playback is specified, the audio information is played back according to the unit playback control information other than the overlap playback control information by referring to the overlap information. Therefore, it is possible to reproduce the audio information in an appropriate reproduction mode according to the user's selection.
[0131]
According to the ninth aspect of the present invention, when a user's instruction for specifying normal playback or non-overlapping playback is input, the playback device plays back a plurality of pieces of audio entity information with reference to the centralized playback control information. I do. Here, when the normal reproduction is designated, the reproducing apparatus reproduces a plurality of pieces of audio entity information according to all the unit reproduction control information included in the centralized reproduction control information. On the other hand, when the non-overlapping reproduction is specified, the address information of the corresponding substantial audio information is referred to the recording content of the recording means, and the plurality of pieces of audio substance information To play. Therefore, it is possible to reproduce the audio information in an appropriate reproduction mode according to the user's selection.
[0132]
According to the tenth aspect, before the audio information is reproduced, the total reproduction time in the specified reproduction mode is displayed, so that the recording time can be known particularly in the case of dubbing or the like, which is convenient.
[0133]
According to the eleventh aspect of the present invention, a title group is defined such that the same song is included in different title groups in a duplicate manner, and only a single piece of audio entity information corresponding to the song is recorded on the information recording medium. Therefore, a title group can be defined in various modes without recording the same audio entity information repeatedly.
[0134]
According to the twelfth aspect, it is possible to reproduce the music in all title groups according to the definition of each title group.
[0135]
According to the thirteenth aspect, in reproducing different title groups, it is possible to prevent the same music from being reproduced repeatedly.
