TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire for automobiles provided with a belt structure including a core belt layer and a cover belt layer, and more particularly, to improve high-speed durability and belt separation resistance based on the belt structure. In addition, the present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire that suppresses uneven wear and outer diameter growth caused by the belt structure.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Generally, the belt layer of a pneumatic radial tire is formed by bias-cutting a belt material in which a plurality of aligned cords are rubber-coated, and applying a plurality of belt materials to the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer so that the cords cross each other between layers. It is configured by arranging. However, in the above-mentioned tire, since cut ends are present at both ends in the width direction of the belt layer, edge separation is liable to occur due to stress concentration on the cut ends, and this is a factor that reduces durability.
[0003]
On the other hand, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 53-22205 discloses that a plurality of reinforcing cords are arranged around an annular core material in which reinforcing cords are arranged at an angle of substantially 0 degree with respect to the tire circumferential direction. A belt structure formed by spirally winding a strip made of a book reinforcing cord is disclosed. Since such a belt structure does not have cut ends at both ends in the width direction, it is possible to improve high-speed durability and belt separation resistance of the tire.
[0004]
However, the pneumatic radial tire provided with the belt structure has a drawback that it is difficult to form an appropriate ground contact shape, and uneven wear and outer diameter growth are likely to occur. Therefore, at present, pneumatic radial tires having such a belt structure have not been put to practical use.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to improve high-speed durability and belt separation resistance based on a belt structure including a core belt layer and a cover belt layer, and to improve uneven wear and outer diameter growth caused by the belt structure. It is an object of the present invention to provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of suppressing the occurrence of a tire.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a pneumatic radial tire of the present invention has an annular core formed by winding a reinforcing cord around an outer peripheral side of a carcass layer in a tread portion at an angle of substantially 0 degrees with respect to a tire circumferential direction. A pneumatic radial tire in which a belt structure comprising a body belt layer and a covering belt layer formed by spirally winding a reinforcing cord around the core body belt layer is disposed, wherein the width Wc of the core body belt layer is provided. And a ratio (Wc / Wl) of the coating belt layer to the width Wl is set to 0.5 to 0.95.
[0007]
By regulating the ratio (Wc / Wl) between the width Wc of the core belt layer and the width Wl of the covering belt layer in this manner, it is possible to appropriately maintain the ground contact shape and suppress uneven wear and outer diameter growth. . Of course, since the belt structure has substantially no cut ends at both ends in the width direction, high-speed durability and belt separation resistance of the pneumatic radial tire can be improved.
[0008]
The belt structure of the present invention is applicable to various pneumatic radial tires, and is particularly suitable for a heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire. However, the pneumatic radial tire for heavy load is a tire whose maximum load capacity is set to 1450 kg or more in the pneumatic-load capacity correspondence table of the JATMA Yearbook (2002 version).
[0009]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0010]
FIG. 1 shows a pneumatic radial tire according to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein 1 is a tread portion, 2 is a sidewall portion, and 3 is a bead portion. A carcass layer 4 is mounted between the pair of left and right bead portions 3, 3, and both ends in the tire width direction are wound around the bead core 5 from the inside to the outside of the tire. A bead filler 6 made of hard rubber is arranged on the outer periphery of the bead core 5. On the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer 4 in the tread portion 1, a belt structure 7 including a core belt layer 7a and a covering belt layer 7b is embedded. On the other hand, a plurality of reinforcing layers 8 are embedded in each bead portion 3 so as to surround the bead core 5 and the bead filler 6. A belt protection layer 9 may be provided on the outer peripheral side of the belt structure 7 as necessary.
[0011]
As shown in FIG. 2, the belt structure 7 has an annular core belt layer 7a formed by winding a reinforcing cord at an angle of substantially 0 degrees with respect to the tire circumferential direction, and the core belt layer 7a. And a covering belt layer 7b formed by spirally winding a reinforcing cord at an angle β of 15 to 60 degrees with respect to the tire circumferential direction. Such a belt structure 7 is obtained by spirally winding a single cord or a rubber-coated cord around an annular core material preferably made of a composite of cord and rubber.
[0012]
As a reinforcing cord constituting the core belt layer 7a and the covering belt layer 7b, it is preferable to use a steel cord, but it is also possible to use an organic fiber cord such as aramid fiber.
[0013]
In the pneumatic radial tire, the ratio (Wc / Wl) of the width Wc of the core belt layer 7a to the width Wl of the covering belt layer 7b is 0.5 to 0.95, more preferably 0.6 to 0.9. 9 is assumed. By setting the ratio (Wc / Wl) in the above range, the contact shape can be appropriately maintained, and uneven wear and outer diameter growth can be suppressed. Here, when the ratio (Wc / Wl) is out of the above range and is too small, the hoop effect as a belt layer becomes insufficient, so that the outer diameter tends to grow with time. On the other hand, when the ratio (Wc / Wl) is out of the above range and is too large, the circumferential rigidity at the width direction end of the belt structure becomes excessive, so that the ground contact length is sharply shortened at the shoulder portion and uneven wear occurs. It is easy to ground.
[0014]
The pneumatic radial tire also has excellent high-speed durability and belt separation resistance because the belt structure 7 has substantially no cut ends at both ends in the width direction.
[0015]
【Example】
An annular core belt layer having a tire size common to 285 / 60R22.5 and a reinforcing cord wound around the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer at the tread portion at an angle of substantially 0 degree with respect to the tire circumferential direction; In a pneumatic radial tire in which a belt structure comprising a cored belt layer and a coating belt layer formed by spirally winding a reinforcing cord around the core belt layer, a width Wc of the core belt layer and a width Wl of the coating belt layer are provided. The tires of Examples 1 to 4 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 in which the ratio (Wc / Wl) and the cord angle of the covering belt layer to the tire circumferential direction were variously changed, respectively.
[0016]
With respect to these test tires, the outer diameter growth and the contact length ratio were evaluated by the following test methods, and the results are shown in Table 1.
[0017]
Outer diameter growth:
The test tire was filled with a regular internal pressure, and the tire was run at 20,000 km with a drum test machine under a load of 70% of the normal load, and the increase in the outer peripheral length after running was measured. The evaluation result was shown by an index with Comparative Example 1 being 100, using the reciprocal of the measured value. The larger the index value, the smaller the outer diameter growth.
[0018]
Contact length ratio:
With a normal internal pressure and a normal load applied to the test tire, the ground contact length in the tire circumferential direction at the center position of the tread, and the ground contact length in the tire circumferential direction at a position separated from the center position of the tread by 40% of the contact width in the tire width direction. And the ratio (%) of the latter to the former was determined. The closer this ratio is to 100%, the better the contact shape in which uneven wear hardly occurs.
[0019]
[Table 1]
As can be seen from Table 1, the tires of Examples 1 to 4 showed almost no outside diameter growth, and had good contact shapes. On the other hand, the tire of Comparative Example 1 did not have a proper ground contact shape. In Comparative Example 2, the outside diameter growth after running was excessively large.
[0020]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, on the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer in the tread portion, an annular core belt layer formed by winding a reinforcing cord at an angle of substantially 0 degrees with respect to the tire circumferential direction, A belt structure composed of a covering belt layer formed by spirally winding a reinforcing cord around the core belt layer is arranged, and a ratio (Wc / Wc / Wc / width of the core belt layer to the width Wl of the covering belt layer) is provided. Since Wl) is 0.5 to 0.95, high-speed durability and belt separation resistance are improved based on the belt structure, and uneven wear and outer diameter growth due to the belt structure are suppressed. be able to.
