【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、車両用シートのシ
ートバック背面を利用したアームレスト兼用テーブル構
造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】車両用シートにおいて、シートバックの
側面にアームレストを備えたものが知られている。一般
的に、自動車に設置されるリクライニングシートは座部
にシートバックがリクライニング可能に取付けられてお
り、シートバックの側面にアームレストが取付けられて
いる。
【０００３】アームレストは、略水平な使用状態から収
納状態まで回動可能に取付けられている。
【０００４】例えば実用新案登録第２５７９６０３号公
報には、「シートの背もたれ部の中間部から側方に差出
される軸棒に回動自在にアームレストの根端部を取付
け、該アームレストの軸棒取付部の周りに爪を差出し、
該背もたれ部側には先端部にストッパー凹部を夫々形成
し根端部が回動自在に支持されている前後部回動杆と該
前後部回動杆を中間部で連結する連結杆とからなるリン
ク機構が組込まれており該後部回動杆の回動軸は該背も
たれ部の回動中心と一致し、該前部回動杆の回動軸は該
背もたれ部の回動中心より前方に位置し、更に該後部回
動杆は該背もたれ部の回動に追従して回動することを特
徴とするアームレストの取付機構」が開示されている。

示すように背もたれ部のリクライニング状態に関わらず
背もたれ部に略沿った状態で支持され、リクライニング
シートの背もたれ部のリクライニング状態に関わらずア
ームレストを略水平状態に置くことが出来、アームレス
トの使用感が極めて良好になる。」ものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】ところで、上述のよう
な構造では、アームレストの取り付けのために複雑な機
構を有し、組み立て工数が増大すると共に、同時にテー
ブルとしては使えないという問題がある。
【０００７】そこで、本発明の目的は、シートバックの
背面を利用し、アームレスト兼テーブルとしても使用で
きる車両用シートを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】以上の課題を解決すべく
本発明は、例えば、図１から図３に示すように、左右に
分割併設される車両用シートにおける少なくとも片側の
シートバック１の背面に、テーブル１１を設けるととも
に、一側部から１００ｍｍ以上の幅の部分を表皮材で覆
って、他方のシートの乗員の為のアームレスト１２を設
けたことを特徴とする。
【０００９】尚、表皮材としては、ポリエステル製の布
地が挙げられるが、本革・合成皮革でも良い。
【００１０】このようなシートバックの背面にテーブル
と表皮材で覆ったアームレストとを設けた構造としたか
ら、シートバック背面利用の折り畳みテーブルを設けた
車両用シートの商品性が高まる。

【発明の実施の形態】以下に、本発明に係るアームレス
ト兼用テーブルを備える車両用シートの実施の形態例を
図１、図２に基づいて説明する。本発明を適用した車両
用シートは、実施形態では、ハイトアジャスタもしくは
可倒脚とロックによる高さ調整機構により、少なくとも
片側のシート自体が１５０ｍｍ以上上昇するもので、ハ
イトアジャスタ機構付のフォールダウン式シートとした
ものである。先ず、図１は本発明を適用した概略斜視図
で、車両用シートの通常使用状態を示している。図２は
そのシート自体の起立状態の概略断面図である。
【００１２】これらの図１、図２において、１はシート
バック、２は座部である。
【００１３】図１に示すように、シートバック１は、リ
クライナー３により、座部２に回動自在に軸支され、任
意の角度で固定可能である。
【００１４】座部２には、底部に前側リンク２１、及び
後部リンク２２が回動自在に設けられている。前側リン
ク２１、及び後部リンク２２は、図１に示すように折り
畳まれており、任意の方法で固定されている。
【００１５】実施形態において、シートは、図２に示す
ように、フロア４から前側リンク２１、及び後部リンク
２２により起立し、約１００ｍｍ上昇させて固定（固定
装置は図示せず）できる。そして、シートバック１の背
面の一部には、図３に示すようにテーブル１１がビス又
はクリップ等で取り付けられており、シートバック１を
折り畳むことでテーブル１１として使用することができ
る。さらに、シートバック１の隣席側の一定幅Ｗ（例え
ば１００ｍｍ以上）は、表皮材で覆われたアームレスト
１２となる。
【００１６】テーブル１１はポリプロピレン・ＡＢＳ樹
脂などの汎用樹脂製で、射出成形されたものが好適であ
る。また、図示のようにテーブル１１の前端部寄りにカ
ップホルダー１３を設けても良い。この場合、アームレ
スト１２に載せた腕を少しずらすだけでカップに手が届
ききわめて使い勝手が良いものとなる。
【００１７】このような構造としたので、折り畳んだシ
ートバック１をテーブル１１として利用でき、使い勝手
が良く、商品性が向上する。
【００１８】そして、折り畳んだシートバック１の一部
をアームレスト１２として腕を休ませることができる。
しかも、アームレスト１２に腕を休ませた状態で少し腕
をずらせばテーブル１１に手が届き、飲料容器や地図な
どを利用しやすく、きわめて使い勝手が良い。
【００１９】また、アームレスト１２部分は表皮材で覆
われており、肌触り・クッション性などのアームレスト
としての機能性・外観商品性が低下しない。以上によ
り、きわめて簡単な構造で不可価値の高い便利な車両用
シートとなる。
【００２０】なお、以上の実施の形態例においては、平
行リンクによりハイトアジャスタ機構としたが、本発明
はこれに限定されるものではなく、高さ調節が可能であ
れば機構は任意であり、例えばＸ字型リンクであっても
良い。また、実施の形態例では、部分的にカップホルダ
ーを設けた複合テーブルとしたが、フラットな矩形のテ
ーブルであっても良い。さらに、テーブルの形状等も任
意であり、その他、具体的な細部構造等についても適宜
に変更可能であることは勿論である。

【発明の効果】以上のように、本発明によれば、シート
バックの背面にテーブルと表皮材で覆われたアームレス
トとを設けたから、以下の効果が得られる。
（１）片方のシートを上昇させるだけの簡単な機構を設
けるだけで、隣接したシート自体を着座乗員用のアーム
レストとして丁度良い高さにすることが可能である。し
たがって左右分割セパレートタイプのシートにおいて、
独立したアームレストが不用となるので、きわめて安価
にアームレストを装備することができる。また、シート
バック背面の一部分がアームレストとなり、同一のシー
トバックの他の一部領域がテーブルになるから、腕を休
めると同時にアームレストのすぐそばでテーブルとして
使用できるから使い勝手が向上する。
【００２２】さらに、本発明により得られる付帯的効果
は、以下のとおりである。
