Although the diameter of the intake pipe 21 is arbitrary, a pipe having the same size as the pipe forming the pipeline 22 may be used. Further, the water intake pipe 21 can be formed by forming a water intake hole 28 in a normal pipe, or can be formed by closing a hole in an unnecessary portion of a perforated pipe. The installation height is
It should be set at a position where it is possible to prevent the suction of air from the water surface and the suction of floating debris, and also to prevent the suction of the sediment that accumulates at the bottom of the box. Therefore, the depth of the intake box 20 should also meet these conditions. Should be considered.
Generally, the distance between the upper surface of the pipe and the water surface is 150 to 25

The water intake hole 28 is formed in such a size that the dust contained in the water does not flow into the water intake pipe 21 and is not easily clogged. The maximum opening size of 28 is usually 50 mm
Below, preferably 30 mm or less is appropriate. By forming the water intake hole 28 small, it is possible to more reliably prevent the inflow of dusts, but if it is made too small,
Not only is the water intake insufficient, but clogging tends to occur.

The number of water intake holes 28 to be installed is set according to the size of each hole and the amount of water intake, and may be calculated based on the total opening area and the flow velocity at each water intake hole 28. That is, when the flow velocity in the water intake hole 28 becomes high, the possibility of sucking in dusts and the like increases,
For example, the flow velocity in each water intake hole 28 may be set to 0.3 m / sec or less, and the size and the number of water intake holes 28 may be set so that the flow rate set below this flow velocity can be taken.

Further, although the shape of the water intake hole 28 is usually circular, it may be formed in an elliptic system or a slit shape.
Each intake hole 2 in the length direction and the circumferential direction of the intake pipe 21.
The shape and size of 8 may be different. The intake hole 28 should be provided on the peripheral surface below the center in order to avoid intake of air and floating dust, but depending on the distance from the water surface in the intake basin 20, the intake hole 28 may be provided on the upper peripheral surface.
