The container body of the toner supply container is generally made of a synthetic resin such as polypropylene, a single material of various materials such as paper, or a composite material of these materials.
An opening for toner supply is formed. Before the toner replenishing container is used, the toner replenishing opening is sealed by a peelable sealing member.

When the toner replenishing container is used, the toner replenishing opening is attached to the toner replenishing port of the developing device, and the sealing member is peeled off. As a result, the toner replenishment opening is opened, the interior of the container body communicates with the toner replenishment port of the developing device, and the toner in the toner replenishment container is replenished by the toner fluidity and gravity. It is supplied to the developing device through the mouth.

However, if shaking is performed before mounting the toner replenishing container, when the toner replenishing container is mounted and the sealing member is peeled off, due to the imbalance between the atmospheric pressure and the pressure inside the toner replenishing container, A large amount of air-carrying toner flows into the developing device, causing toner to leak from the joint portion or opening of the developing device, causing scattering in the device.

[0007] Further, there are some places where the electrophotographic image forming apparatus is demanded at a low atmospheric pressure of 1800 m or higher, and a toner replenishing container in which toner is sealed is produced at a low atmospheric pressure in a low place where the atmospheric pressure is high. When used in, the pressure inside the toner supply container becomes higher than atmospheric pressure. In this state, when the toner supply container is attached to the developing device and the sealing member is peeled off, the high pressure inside the toner supply container causes
There is a problem that a large amount of toner suddenly flows into the developing device, leaks and scatters from the joint or opening of the developing device, and contaminates the surroundings.

A toner replenishing container according to the present invention is provided with a sealing member which can be peeled off before use at a portion of a container body which is attached to a toner replenishing port of a developing device. In a toner replenishing container that is hermetically sealed and has a toner replenishing portion that allows the inside of the container body to communicate with the toner replenishing port of the developing device by peeling off the sealing member, the toner replenishing portion has a toner replenishing main opening. And a communication auxiliary opening located on the tip side in the peeling direction of the sealing member from the toner replenishing main opening.

When the auxiliary opening is composed of one opening, the auxiliary opening may communicate with the main opening or may be independent of the main opening. The auxiliary opening formed of one opening extends, for example, from the main opening toward the tip end side in the same direction at the tip end side in the sealing member peeling direction,
The shape has a width smaller than the width (diameter in the case of a circle) of the main opening. For example, the width of the auxiliary opening is made smaller toward the tip side in the peeling direction of the sealing member.

When the auxiliary opening is composed of a plurality of openings, the opening cross-sectional area of each opening is preferably smaller than that of the main opening. All of the plurality of openings may be independent of the main opening, or some of them may communicate with the main opening. For example, the plurality of openings are arranged side by side in the same direction in the portion closer to the leading end in the sealing member peeling direction than the main opening. In that case, for example, the opening cross-sectional area of the opening becomes smaller toward the tip end side in the sealing member peeling direction.

According to the toner supply container of the present invention, since the auxiliary opening is provided on the leading end side of the main opening in the direction of peeling the sealing member, the container body is mounted on the developing device and the sealing member is peeled off. Sometimes, the auxiliary opening opens before the main opening, and the opening cross-sectional area gradually increases. This alleviates the difference between the pressure inside the container body and the atmospheric pressure, and finally opens the main opening. When the auxiliary opening first opens, the opening cross-sectional area is small, and when the main opening with a large opening cross-sectional area opens, the difference between the pressure inside the container body and the atmospheric pressure is eased, so a large amount of toner is removed. A large pressure difference does not cause a rapid inflow from the container body into the developing device, and therefore toner does not leak from the developing device and scatter.

At this time, first, the auxiliary opening portion (4) having a narrow width extending in the peeling direction of the sealing member is gradually opened from the tip side thereof, and the opening cross-sectional area is gradually increased.
The difference between the pressure in the container body (1) and the atmospheric pressure is reduced. When the auxiliary opening (4) is first opened, the opening cross-sectional area is small, and when the main opening (3) with a large opening cross-sectional area is opened, the difference between the pressure inside the container body (1) and the atmospheric pressure is reduced. Therefore, a large amount of toner does not suddenly flow from the container body (1) into the developing tank (B) due to a large pressure difference. Therefore, the toner does not leak from the joint or the opening of the developing tank (B) and scatter to the outside.
