Therefore, for example, as shown in FIG.
Before covering the insertion part 11 of the endoscope, the mouth part of the contamination prevention sheath 1 is rolled into a roll shape, and the insertion part 11 is covered by rolling the roll-shaped part 1r.

However, the mouth portion of the pollution control sheath 1 can be rolled into such a roll shape only when the insertion portion 11 of the endoscope is very short, and the diameter is about 1 cm and long. It is difficult to apply it to the insertion portion 11 of a general endoscope having a length of 1 to 2 m.

However, during the work of covering the insertion portion 11, high-pressure air is blown into the sheath 11 to prevent contamination.
If the inflator is to be inflated, the equipment for that is required, and not only is the handling troublesome, but the air pollution causes the pollution prevention sheath 1 to rupture, and pin holes and the like are generated in the pollution prevention sheath 1 during removal. In such a case, there is a problem that the contamination prevention sheath 1 in a contaminated state cannot be removed from the insertion portion 11.

In order to achieve the above object, a method of covering an insertion portion of an endoscope with a contamination prevention sheath according to the present invention is designed so that the insertion portion of the endoscope is protected from the external environment when the endoscope is used. A method for coating a contamination prevention sheath on an insertion portion of an endoscope for covering the insertion portion with a contamination prevention sheath made of a flexible and elastic material that is detachable for insulation The outer diameter of the insert is made larger than the outer diameter of the insert, and the contamination prevention sheath is crushed in the axial direction and folded into a bellows shape before covering the insert, and then the insert is covered while stretching in the axial direction. It is something that is done.

A detachable engagement mouthpiece is attached near the base end of the insertion portion of the endoscope and is attached to the side of the base end opening of the contamination prevention sheath. If the anti-contamination sheath is extended in the axial direction by locking, it is easy to use because the anti-contamination sheath does not sag, and the anti-contamination sheath is stretched in the axial direction to reduce the diameter and adhere to the outer surface of the insertion part. By doing so, it can be used more smoothly.

Further, the distal end of the channel tube arranged along the axial direction in the contamination prevention sheath is fixed to the distal end of the contamination prevention sheath so that the proximal end extends from the proximal end opening side of the contamination prevention sheath, and the channel is formed. In the case where the guide channel for inserting the tube is formed in the insertion part, the channel tube that has passed through the guide channel is pulled from the proximal end side to cover the insertion part with the contamination prevention sheath, so that it is covered smoothly. be able to.

The channel tube 4 can be inserted into and removed from the guide channel 13 of the endoscope. The channel tube 4 is inserted in a state of penetrating the inside of the guide channel 13, and the portion 4a near the base end is further opened at the base end of the guide channel 13. It is formed to be sufficiently longer than the guide channel 13 so that it can be pulled out from 13b.

When the insertion portion 11 is covered with the contamination preventing sheath 1 having the above-described structure, first, as shown in FIG. 5, the contamination preventing sheath 1 is first crushed in the axial direction to form a bellows shape. Fold it in to the state. Hereinafter, the portion thus folded is referred to as a “folded portion 1a”.

Then, as shown in FIG. 1, the engaging cap 3 is gripped and pulled up along the insertion portion 11 toward the operation portion 12. As a result, the folded portion 1a of the contamination prevention sheath 1 is stretched from the base end side, and the contamination prevention sheath 1 is covered with the insertion portion 11 while being returned to the cylindrical shape. Since the inner diameter of the contamination prevention sheath 1 is larger than the outer diameter of the insertion portion 11, this work can be performed smoothly without getting caught.

When the distal end cap 2 comes into contact with the distal end portion of the insertion portion 11 in this way, the engaging cap 3 is locked in the engaging groove 14 as shown in FIG. The contamination prevention sheath 1 is fixed in a state of covering the insertion portion 11. At this time, if the dimension is set so that the contamination prevention sheath 1 is stretched and reduced in diameter so as to be in close contact with the outer surface of the insertion portion 11, the contamination prevention sheath 1 is in a state in which it is easy to use without any looseness. .

After using the endoscope, the operation section cover 5, the branch connection members 21, 22 and the like are removed in the reverse order,
After releasing the engagement between the engagement base 3 and the engagement groove 14, FIG.
As shown in FIG. 2, by grasping the end cap 2 and pulling it forward, the contamination prevention sheath 1 is separated from the insertion part 11 together with the channel tube 4 and separated from the insertion part 11 as shown in FIG.

The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and for example, as shown in FIG. 14, in the work of covering the insertion portion 11 with the contamination prevention sheath 1, the base end opening 13b of the guide channel 13 is formed. The engaging mouthpiece 3 may be locked in the engaging groove 14 before manually pulling the portion 4a of the channel tube 4 extending from the portion near the base end.

By doing so, the contamination prevention sheath 1 is stretched and reduced in diameter, and the portion of the contamination prevention sheath 1 near the front side is not covered by the insertion portion 11.
As shown in FIG. 5, by pulling the portion 4a near the proximal end of the channel tube 4, the contamination prevention sheath 1 swells on the front side and the distal end cap 2 approaches the distal end of the insertion portion 11 as shown in FIG. Then, the contamination prevention sheath 1 is in a state of being covered with the insertion portion 11 exactly.

According to the present invention, the inside diameter of the contamination prevention sheath is made larger than the outside diameter of the insertion portion, and the contamination prevention sheath is crushed in the axial direction to form a bellows shape before the insertion portion is covered. After folding, the contamination prevention sheath is stretched in the axial direction to cover the insertion section, making it extremely easy to coat the contamination prevention sheath on the insertion section of the endoscope without adopting a special structure. It can be carried out.
