られるガンドリルに関する。 【0002】 【従来の技術】一枚刃のガンドリルは、パイプおよび切
刃チップの外周部にV溝が切欠きして設けられるため
に、重心が回転軸よりずれて存在することとなり、一定
の回転数を超えると遠心力でもってパイプが縄跳び運動
を起こし、撓み振動を起こすようになる。そこで、振動
防止対策として、パイプの丸部を長くしたり、あるいは
特公昭50−20309号公報や実公昭48−2143
3号公報に開示されているように、パイプ内部に重錘片
を挿入して重心を回転軸に近づくように工夫した事例が
みられる。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、パイプ
の丸部を長くしても大きな改善とはならず、やはり回転
数を下げることで対応しなければならなかった。また、
パイプ内部に重錘片を挿入する方法は、重錘片の挿入お
よび固定の方法が極めて難しく、工具を製造するうえで
不利であることから、実用化に至っていない。 【0004】 【課題を解決するための手段】この発明は、上記のよう
な課題に鑑みなされたもので、ドライバに固着されたパ
イプの外周部にV溝が形成され、その先端には切刃チッ
プが接合されてなるガンドリルにおいて、前記パイプの
丸部中空部には超硬合金製のパイプが埋め込まれるとと
もに、この超硬合金製のパイプの穴径は、このガンドリ
ル先端にて開口する油穴の穴径より大きく形成されてい
ることを特徴とする。 【0005】超硬合金のヤング率は鋼材のヤング率の3
倍近くあるから、曲げ剛性は非常に高い。そうすると、
実質的に超硬合金が埋め込まれていない残りの鋼材単体

通するV溝4が配設されて、切屑を切削液とともに流出
させる切屑排出溝を形成している。V溝4は、丸パイプ
を変形させて製造される。切削液は、ドライバ2の後端
より穿設されて切刃チップ3の先端にて開口する油穴5
から噴出する。 【0007】パイプ1の丸部中空部には超硬合金製のパ
イプ6が埋め込まれる。パイプ6の穴径Dは、このガン

プを埋め込むことによりパイプ剛性が高くなり、遠心力
による撓み振動が抑制されるようになるので、従来より
も高い回転数で穴明け加工ができる。切削液の流量は従
