According to the configuration of the planting base member of the present invention described above, the convex brim 11 and the concave groove 12 on the outer peripheral surface of the planting base member are fitted and adhered to each other, and are arranged, for example, vertically and horizontally. Only by connecting the drainage passage 4 and the airflow passage 8 of each foundation member, it is possible to construct a foundation for planting on a greened surface such as a rooftop, a roof or a veranda. When a plant is planted on this base member, a water-permeable root-controlling sheet is adhered to the upper surface of the base member, and an appropriate sintered body such as a sintered body, soil or granular material is placed on the sheet before use. Therefore, it is possible to place a sintered body or the like, and water that flows down through the sintered body or the like can be drained through the drainage passage, the base member has a heat insulating effect, and the air flow passage on the lower surface becomes a heat insulating space, The temperature rise of the roof can be prevented. The drainage passage can also serve as a heat insulating space because the space inside the drainage passage can be a heat insulating space as well as the drainage action. Furthermore, since a space with an open bottom is provided, it is possible to stack the plants of the sintered body so as not to hit them.
When a plug is fitted in the drainage passage of the drainage passage to form a water storage tank, a predetermined amount of water required depending on the type of plant is stored in the water storage tank that is formed in the drainage passage from the water storage tank, or Can supply nutrients.

As the plant to be planted in the sintered body 21, for example, a succulent plant of a plant that does not require much water (a plant that can grow in a dry state), a perennial plant of sedum, etc. is used. There are short sedum plants and long sedum plants, some of which are cut and placed in a dry state to have roots, which are planted in planting holes 22 of a sintered body. When planting these plants in a sintered body, the roots are hard to reach without soil, so
A small amount of soil necessary for rooting is placed in the planting site of the sintered body, and seedlings of rooted plants are planted. The same is true when it is composed of pumice particles. In addition, the place where the plant is planted is aligned with the wide space C position of the airflow passage 8 below the base member A so that the seedlings and buds of the plant planted when the units are stacked do not hit the peripheral wall of the base member and the support portion. To Direct seeding may be used as long as it can sow seeds and grow. When selling the planting unit, it is preferable to plant seedlings, grow them to a certain extent, root them, and then sell them.
