Next, when performing an operation for maintenance of the elevator device, the counterweight lowering prevention device 16 is
An example of an operation for fixing the balance weight spring shock absorber 15 will be described. First, the mounting plate 16c of the counterweight lowering prevention device 16 is arranged so as to cover from the upper portion of the counterweight spring shock absorber 15. Next, the rod-shaped stoppers 17 are attached to the openings 16d of the respective mounting plates 16c.
The lowering prevention device 16 to the spring shock absorber 15 by inserting it into the spring shock absorber 15 from the outside and penetrating the mounting plate 16c and inserting it into the wire diameter of the spring of the counterweight spring shock absorber 15 (that is, the gap of the helical spring). Fix it.

By the above operation, the fall prevention device 16 is positioned with respect to the spring shock absorber 15 and is fixed so as not to come off. However, when the lowering prevention device 16 is more firmly fixed to the spring shock absorber 15, the lowering prevention device 16 is fixed to the spring shock absorber 15 after fixing the lowering device 16 to the spring shock absorber 15 by the above operation. And rotate it to move downward. As a result, the rod-shaped stopper 17 bites into the spring of the spring shock absorber 15 at a deeper position, so that the lowering prevention device 16 is moved to the spring shock absorber 15.
In addition, it can be firmly fixed so that there is no rattling.

When the rod-shaped stopper 17 is inserted between the wire diameters of the springs of the spring shock absorber 15, the stroke of the spring is not obstructed even during the shock absorbing operation of the spring shock absorber 15.
It is also possible to regulate the insertion of the rod-shaped stopper 17 at an appropriate position and adjust it so as not to hinder the buffer performance of the spring shock absorber. FIG. 4 shows a state in which the descent prevention device 16 is thus attached to the spring shock absorber 15,
