When using an applicator, the cap 3 is removed from the applicator tip 2 and the applicator core member 12 of the applicator tip 2 is repeatedly pushed. When the coating core member 12 is pushed in, the intermediate leg portion 12b of the coating core member 12 pushes the valve element 37 against the biasing force of the coil spring 45 via the tubular portion 42 of the valve device 33. Then, the valve body 37 separates from the valve seat member 36, the valve hole 38 is opened, and the valve device 33 is opened, so that the coating material is supplied from the storage chamber 31 to the coating tip portion 2. By repeating the operation of pressing the coating core member 12, a large amount of paint can be supplied to the coating core member 12. When the pressing operation is repeated, the coating core member 12, the valve element 37, etc. exert a pumping action. Further, both the inner core material 13 and the outer core material 14 of the coating core member 12 are formed so as to exhibit liquid absorbency and permeability due to a capillary phenomenon or the like in the fiber gap, so that the paint can be spread over the whole. It protrudes. Therefore, even if the coating tip 2 is turned upward, the coating material can be sufficiently supplied to the coating core member 12. Then, the pushing operation is repeated until it is ready for use. However, at this time, if the coating tip portion 2 is directed downward, the coating material can be efficiently supplied to the coating core member 12.

In this embodiment, the coated core member 12 absorbs the liquid coating material of the inner core material 13 serving as an intermediate layer and oozes out faster than the outer core material 14 layer. For this reason, the exudation of the liquid coating material to the tip portion of the coating core member 12 through the inner core material 13 is accelerated, the flow rate is increased, and the initial liquid discharge time can be shortened. For example, when the number of pushes is 20, it is completed in 10 to 15 times. The inner core material 13 generally has low strength, but since it is protected by the outer core material 14 to reinforce the coating core member 12, the strength of the coating core member 12 is increased,
The durability of the coating tip 2 can be ensured.
