Show. An optical connector connecting adapter according to the present invention comprises a front housing 1, a back housing 2,
It is composed of a center board 3 and a pair of fasteners 4, 4. The front and back housings 1, 2
Is configured as follows. As shown in FIG. 5, it is formed in the shape of a plane horizontally long and short, and is formed in the same size.
Fitting holes 5 and 6 for fitting and connecting an optical connector (not shown) from both sides are formed through the respective holes. The front housing 1 is configured as follows. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, engagement grooves 7, 7 for fixing the lower ends of the stoppers 4, 4 are formed near both diagonal corners. The engagement grooves 7, 7
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, a concave hole 7 a formed in the front housing 1 and having an open upper end,
a horizontal upper concave groove 7b which is concavely opposed to the upper end opening side of
7b, and horizontal lower concave grooves 7c, 7c which are recessed opposite to each other on the bottom side of the concave hole 7a so as to have a substantially I-shaped cross section, and one side is provided on the side wall 1a of the front housing 1, The stopper 4 is configured to be engaged and fixed by aligning the lower end portion 4 and moving it laterally. The back housing 2 is configured as follows. As shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 5, near the opposite corners on the diagonal line, through the insertion holes 8, 8 of the stopper 4 in alignment with the engagement grooves 7, 7 of the front housing 1. It is formed. The insertion holes 8, 8
Has an inner diameter substantially the same as or slightly larger than the diameter of stoppers 4, 4 described later. The openings (the upper ends in FIGS. 1 and 3) of the insertion holes 8, 8 are formed in recessed holes 8a, 8a having a predetermined diameter larger than the inner diameter of the insertion holes 8, 8, respectively. Thus, between the concave hole 8a and the insertion hole 8, an upward engaging step 8b that engages with an engaging head 11 of the later-described stopper 4 is provided. The center board 3 is configured as follows. As shown in FIG. 5, the optical connector is formed in a thick plate shape, and the optical connector corresponding to the fitting holes 5 and 6 of the optical connectors of the front and back housings 1 and 2 is provided substantially in the center thereof. The fitting holes 3a are formed so as to penetrate the fitting holes 3a, and insertion recesses 3b, 3b of the stoppers 4, 4 are formed opposite to each other at two corners on a diagonal line of the fitting hole 3a. The stoppers 4, 4 are configured as follows. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3 to 5, the lower end of the main body 9 formed in a columnar shape is provided with an engaging portion 10 which is engaged and fixed with the engaging grooves 7 of the front housing 1. At the upper end, an engaging head 11 that engages with the engaging step 8a of the back housing 2 is integrally provided. The main body 9 has such a diameter that it can be inserted into the insertion hole 8 of the back housing 2 and the insertion recess 3b of the center board 3 without any gap. As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4, the engaging portion 10 is linearly cut in three directions at the lower end of the main body 9 and is located above the engaging groove 7 in the front housing 1 described above. Horizontal upper flange 10a engaged with groove 7b
And the upper flange 10a coaxially with the main body 9.
A shaft portion 10b having a small diameter, which extends downward from the lower surface of the shaft portion and is fitted to the concave hole 7a of the engagement groove 7 described above; , The engagement groove 7
Horizontal lower flange 10c engaged with lower concave groove 7c
By pressing the engaging groove 7 laterally from the opening 7d on the side of the engaging groove 7, the stopper 4 protrudes upward and is fixed vertically to the front housing 1. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, the engaging head 11 is formed in a substantially truncated conical shape at the front, and the diameter of the upper end is smaller than the inner diameter of the insertion hole 8 in the back housing 2 described above. The diameter of the lower end is set to be larger than the inner diameter of the insertion hole 8 and substantially the same as the inner diameter of the concave hole 8 a above the insertion hole 8. 8b, a downward engaging portion 11a is formed. Further, the engaging head 11 has a center hole 11b extending from its upper end to the upper part of the main body 9, and a vertically elongated groove 11c extends from the upper end of the engaging head 11 to the upper part of the main body 9. In this manner, the engaging head 11 is provided with a radial spring property. Therefore, the stopper 4 is inserted into the insertion recess 3 of the center board 3 described above.
b and the insertion hole 8 of the back housing 2 in the axial direction, the tapered surface 11d of the front portion of the engagement head 11 is pressed toward the center by the insertion recess 3b and the inner surface of the insertion hole 8 so that the engagement head The portion 11 is reduced in diameter, so that the insertion recess 3 is formed.
b, when each of the engaging heads 11 is inserted into the insertion hole 8 and the engagement head 11 is inserted up to the concave hole 8a above the insertion hole 8, the diameter is expanded to the original state by the spring property, and the engagement portion 11a The above-mentioned engaging step 8
The front and back housings 1 and 2 are fixed without detaching the center board 3 from both sides by being engaged with each other. In the upper part of the engaging head 11 and the main body 9, cutouts 11e, 11e are formed symmetrically on both left and right sides thereof. Thus, the diameter of the engaging head 11 is reduced and the diameter of the engaging head 11 is smoothly increased, and the front and back housings 1 and 2 are easily fixed. Further, although not shown, the opposed space between the longitudinal grooves 11c of the engaging head 11 is formed such that the lower end is widened and gradually narrows toward the upper end, that is, the tip of the engaging head 11 is narrowed. Thereby, it is possible to easily push the stopper 4 into the insertion recess 3 b of the center board 3 and the insertion hole 8 of the back housing 2. In this case, after the pushing is completed, a rod-shaped tool (not shown) is inserted into the center hole 11 of the stopper 4.
b, and the opposing interval of the vertically elongated groove 11c is pushed back as before. Since the present invention is constructed as described above, the front board can be sandwiched from both sides by a simple structure consisting of only one stopper, and the front board can be sandwiched from both sides.
The two housings can be fixed easily, quickly and efficiently, and as a result, the efficiency of assembling the optical connector connecting adapter can be further improved.
