Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent exhaust interference of exhaust gas and to realize an optimal collective formation of exhaust pipes of V-shaped 5-cylinder engine. SOLUTION: In a motorcycle 10, the V-shaped five-cylinder engine 13 is loaded in a substantially center of a car body 11 by positioning three front cylinders forward and two back cylinders backward in the side view, a front left exhaust pipe 23, a front central exhaust pipe 24, and a front right exhaust pipe 25 are extended from the three front cylinders, and a back left exhaust pipe 31 and a back right exhaust pipe 32 are extended from the two back cylinder. The tip of the back left exhaust pipe 31 and the tip of the back right exhaust pipe 32 are connected to a first collective pipe 61, and the tips of two exhaust pipes 23 and 25 of the front left exhaust pipe 23, the front central exhaust pipe 24, and the front right exhaust pipe 25 are collected to a second collective pipe 62, and the tip of the remaining front central exhaust pipe 24 on the front side is connected to the first collective pipe 61.

Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a V-type engine in which three front cylinders are located forward and two rear cylinders are located rearward in a side view.
The present invention relates to an exhaust system for a motorcycle having a cylinder engine mounted substantially at the center of a vehicle body. 2. Description of the Related Art As an exhaust device for a motorcycle, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 5-38845, "Piping Structure of Engine Exhaust Pipe for Motorcycle" and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 6-14027, "Disposition of Exhaust Pipe for Motorcycle" Structure "is known. According to FIG. 2 of the above publication, the above-mentioned cylinders 17, 1
8 are connected to the exhaust pipes 21 and 22, respectively, and these exhaust pipes 21 and 22 are assembled by a middle pipe 25 at the rear of the vehicle body.
Exhaust pipes 23 and 24 are respectively connected to the rear cylinders 19 and 20 of the vehicle body, and these exhaust pipes 23 and 24 are assembled by a middle pipe 26 at the rear of the vehicle body.
6 is adapted to a 4-cylinder V-type engine in which a tail pipe 27 is integrated by a tail pipe 27. According to FIG. 6 of the above publication, three exhaust pipes 30, 30, 30 are assembled by an exhaust pipe 31,
The exhaust pipes 30 and 30 are assembled by an exhaust pipe 32, and the exhaust pipes 31 and 32 are adapted to a five-cylinder engine in which the exhaust pipes 31 and 32 are combined into one exhaust pipe 33. [0004] However, the above-mentioned arrangement structure of the engine exhaust pipe of the motorcycle is an arrangement structure of the engine exhaust pipe applied to a four-cylinder V-type engine. In the case of a motorcycle to be mounted, it cannot be applied as it is. Further, since the exhaust pipe arrangement structure of the motorcycle described above is an exhaust pipe arrangement structure of a five-cylinder engine, the exhaust pipe arrangement structure is not necessarily appropriate for a motorcycle equipped with a V-type engine, for example.
Therefore, there is a demand for an exhaust system for a motorcycle having a collection form of exhaust pipes specific to a V-type five-cylinder engine. [0005] That is, an object of the present invention is to provide a motorcycle exhaust device having a collection form of exhaust pipes suitable for a V-type five-cylinder engine. According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided an exhaust system for a motorcycle in which three front cylinders are located forward and two rear cylinders are located rearward in a side view. A V-type five-cylinder engine is mounted at the approximate center of the vehicle body, and the front left exhaust pipe, front central exhaust pipe, and front right exhaust pipe extend from the front three cylinders,
In a motorcycle having a rear left exhaust pipe and a rear right exhaust pipe extending from a cylinder, the tip of the rear left exhaust pipe and the tip of the rear right exhaust pipe are first.
Connected to the collecting pipe, the tip of two exhaust pipes of the front left exhaust pipe, the front central exhaust pipe, and the front right exhaust pipe are collected in the second collecting pipe,
The tip of the remaining front exhaust pipe is connected to the first collecting pipe or the second collecting pipe. In a V-type five-cylinder engine, it is more difficult to assemble the five exhaust pipes in any combination than in a two-cylinder or four-cylinder engine. Therefore, the tip of the rear left exhaust pipe and the tip of the rear right exhaust pipe are connected to the first collecting pipe, and the tips of two exhaust pipes of the front left exhaust pipe, the front center exhaust pipe, and the front right exhaust pipe are connected to the first exhaust pipe. By assembling into two collecting pipes and connecting the tip of the remaining front exhaust pipe to the first collecting pipe or the second collecting pipe, exhaust gas exhaust interference is prevented. In general, the engine ignites the fifth cylinder in order from the first cylinder by shifting the timing of the explosion for each cylinder. For example, the rear left exhaust pipe and the rear right exhaust pipe are extended from the second and fourth cylinders, and these exhaust pipes are assembled in a first collecting pipe. The exhaust pipes are extended, these exhaust pipes are gathered in a second collecting pipe, and the front central exhaust pipe extending from the remaining third cylinder is gathered in the first collecting pipe or the second collecting pipe to balance exhaust pressure. By doing so, it is possible to easily prevent exhaust interference of exhaust gas. That is, it is possible to realize a collective form of exhaust pipes suitable for a V-type five-cylinder engine. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The drawings should be viewed in the direction of reference numerals. FIG. 1 is a side view of a motorcycle equipped with an exhaust device according to the present invention. A motorcycle 10 has a pair of left and right main frames 12, 12 (rear side main frame 12) slightly rearward of a vehicle body from a head pipe 11. (Not shown), a V-type five-cylinder engine 13 is mounted below these main frames 12, 12, and a swing arm 15 is mounted at the rear of the main frames 12, 12 via a pivot shaft 14 so as to be able to swing up and down. The upper end of the rear cushion unit 16 is attached to the front upper portion of the swing arm 15 and the rear wheel 17 is attached to the rear end of the swing arm 15.

The V-type five-cylinder engine 13 (see FIG. 1) performs ignition by shifting the explosion timing for each cylinder. Therefore, two exhaust pipes 3 extending from the second cylinder and the fourth cylinder
1, 32 are collected in the first collecting pipe 61, and the first cylinder and the fifth cylinder
The two exhaust pipes 23 and 25 extending from the number-th cylinder are gathered in the second collecting pipe 62, and the exhaust pipes 24 extending from the number-third cylinder are gathered in the first collecting pipe 61 so as to balance the exhaust pressure. Thus, it is possible to easily prevent the exhaust gas from interfering with the exhaust gas. That is, it is possible to realize a collective form of exhaust pipes suitable for a V-type five-cylinder engine. That is, the exhaust device 60 is connected to the rear left exhaust pipe 3.
