2. Description of the Related Art Paper cans are made of a material having a thin barrier layer formed by sandwiching a ceramic between polyethylene films and the like on one surface of a paperboard, and closing the bottom of the cylindrical body with a bottom lid. The upper part is covered with a lid with a mouth. When filling beverages with relatively high fluidity such as tea, coffee beverages, soft drinks, and fruit beverages, sterilized cans are filled with the sterilized beverage under a reducing atmosphere, and then formed on the upper lid. After filling from the mouth, the mouth is sealed with a tab sheet (sealing material). When filling beverages into metal cans, the beverages are filled after cleaning the cans that have open tops, the tops are sealed with an upper lid after filling, and then each filled can is washed and sterilized by heating. In the case of, it is not possible to wash or heat sterilize the entire can,
The can and the beverage to be filled are separately sterilized in advance and then filled in a sterile environment.

As described above, when a beverage having a relatively high fluidity is filled in a paper can, the beverage can be filled relatively smoothly and there is almost no problem in the subsequent handling. However, for liquid foods with relatively low fluidity that contain a lot of proteins such as casein, such as highly nutritive liquid foods used for in-hospital foods, if the drinker is not a healthy person, filling and filling Various problems arise in the later handling. First, low-fluid foods that contain a lot of proteins such as casein may foam during high-speed filling, and may have a relatively large specific gravity. It often happens that (from the filling port during filling) it sticks out or pops out on the upper surface of the upper lid and adheres to the upper surface. Since a paper can is not suitable for washing after filling like a metal can, in such a case, it is discarded as a defective packaging. Second,
This type of low-fluidity food often separates into a high specific gravity portion and a low specific gravity portion after being filled in a can, and when drinking, it is necessary to shake the can sufficiently to thoroughly stir the contents before drinking. However, it is often the case that the contents cannot be sufficiently agitated especially when used by a patient who has insufficient body freedom. Thirdly, when the tab material is peeled off and the drinking mouth is opened for drinking, when the can moves up and down, the droplets of the contents may pop out from the drinking mouth.

The fluid food 2 filled in the paper can 1 in this embodiment is a highly nutritive liquid food that is drunk in the hospital or outside the hospital under the guidance of a doctor or nutritionist, and is composed of dextrin, vegetable oil, whey protein digestion. , Soybean protein, indigestible dextrin, granulated sugar, casein, pH adjuster, cellulose, magnesium carbonate, emulsifier, fragrance, etc. are the main raw materials and have relatively low fluidity. This kind of liquid food with low fluidity can be used at high speed (one row, 1800 or more per hour) at a high speed by leaving the headspace at a height of about 6 mm, as in the case of liquid food with high fluidity. When the aseptic filling is performed, the fluid food 2 that is foamed due to the filling sticks out or pops out from the mouth 11a and the top lid 1
1 is attached to the surface.

However, in the filling method of the above-described embodiment, the paper can 1 having a large volume is manufactured without changing the inner diameter, and the liquid food 2 is filled into the paper can 1 in two batches. Even when filled at high speed, the liquid food 2
Bubbling and splattering are suppressed. Therefore, even if the fluidity of the fluid food 2 is small, it is possible to prevent the fluid food from sticking out or popping out of the drinking port 11a, and filling the fluid food with a smooth and high-quality paper can. Is achieved at normal speed. Further, since the head space HS inside is filled so as to have a height of 13 mm or more, it is possible to homogenize more efficiently and in a short period of time when shaking the inside of the paper can 1 by shaking the can 1 for drinking, and the tab sheet 13 is used. Even if the paper can 1 shakes up and down when peeled off, the fluid food 2 inside is
It is possible to prevent jumping out from 1a.

According to an experiment conducted by the inventor, as described above, a highly nutritive liquid food having relatively low fluidity is to be filled, and the inner diameter of the paper can is 53 mm, the filling is performed twice, the temperature of the filling is 20 ° C., and the conveyance is performed in a sterile chamber. When the number of rows of paper cans is three, the head space height d after filling is 13 mm and the number of rows is 540 per hour.
With 0 cans, good quality filling (smooth filling without fluid food sticking out or popping out of the mouth) was possible, but at a headspace height of 12 mm after filling, for good quality filling Was 2700 cans per hour, and efficient filling was difficult. Further, when the head space height d after filling is ≧ 14 mm, it is 720 per hour.
High quality filling was possible with 0 cans. Therefore, in the method of the present invention, it is necessary that the head space HS in the paper can 1 remains 13 mm or more in height after filling.
It is more preferably 4 mm or more. Head space H
When the filling amount of the fluid food 2 is 200 ml, 180 ml, or 250 ml, the height of S is 14 mm or more, which enables smooth high-speed filling.

In the filling method according to the present invention, the height of the head space after filling may be 13 mm or more, and the upper limit is not set. However, if the height of the head space becomes unnecessarily large, the material cost of the paper can increases, and the head space of a certain size or more is wasted. Therefore, the inner diameter of the paper can and the fluidity of the fluid food are large or small. For example, it may be appropriately set within a range not exceeding 17 mm. The number of times of filling depends on the fluidity of the fluid food, the inner diameter of the paper can, etc., but if the number of times of filling is increased, a large-capacity aseptic chamber is required.
It is preferable to fill in 3 times.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION According to the method of filling a fluid can into a paper can according to the present invention, the fluid food is divided into two or several times from the drinking mouth so that the head space height in the can remains 13 mm or more. Since the head space is filled with a reducing gas to seal the drinking mouth, even when liquid food having relatively low fluidity is filled at high speed, foaming or scattering of the liquid food is suppressed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the fluid food from sticking out or popping out from the drinking mouth, and smooth and high-quality filling of the fluid food into a paper can is realized at a normal speed. Further, since the head space inside is filled so as to have a height of 13 mm or more, it is possible to homogenize more efficiently and in a short time when shaking the inside of the paper can by shaking it for drinking, and the tab sheet is peeled off. Even if the paper can sometimes shakes in the vertical direction, the fluid food 2 inside can be prevented from jumping out from the mouth.
