It is convenient to provide an operation display means of the ozone generator outside the main body of the footrest. A LED lamp (light emitting diode) is used for this operation display means, and it is optimal for a small and smart appearance. However, a small window in which a milky white acrylic plate or frosted glass is attached is formed in the cover portion covering the ultraviolet lamp. Then, the operation of the ultraviolet lamp can be confirmed through this small window.

The footrest insertion opening at the rear end of the cover portion of the footrest base body is provided with a flexible hanging curtain member that hangs down from the rear end of the covering portion, and the hanging curtain member allows ozone in the internal space to travel along the instep of the foot. This is convenient because it is possible to limit the escape to the outside and enhance the effect of the ozone bath.

Further, when a large number of wart-like projections are formed on the upper surface of the inside of the pedestal of the main body of the footrest, or a streak-like ventilation groove is formed along the surface, the ozone gas causes a gap between the wart-like projections and a ventilation groove. It spreads through the pedestal and effectively acts on the sole of the foot. Furthermore, it is preferable that the tip end surface of this wart-like projection group and the upper surface of the pedestal forming the ventilation groove are formed in a wavy shape because the unevenness of the upper surface also serves as a health device that stimulates the acupoints on the soles of the feet. Therefore, the ventilation grooves are formed in a large number not only in the front-back direction of the pedestal but also in the direction intersecting with the pedestal.
It is preferable that the tip of the projection group and the upper surface of the pedestal in which the ventilation groove is formed have a wavy shape as a whole.

On the other hand, the main body of the footrest is divided into an upper part including a partition for accommodating an ozone generator and a lower part other than the partition part, and both of them are detachably fitted or mounted. The two parts are connected via a separable hinge so that the upper part can be flipped up and detached. With such a structure, it is convenient to remove the lower part for cleaning, or in the case of a structure in which the both parts are connected via a hinge, the upper part can be flipped up and the foot can be easily taken in and out, which is more preferable. .

Next, a large number of wart-like projections 18 are provided over the entire surface of the upper surface 2b of the pedestal 2a. Due to the existence of the wart-like projections 18, the UV lamps 12 generate the light in the space 10. This has the effect of helping the inflowing ozone gas to spread over the entire upper surface 2b of the pedestal through the gap between the protrusions 18. As an alternative to the wart-shaped protrusion 18, although not shown, a ventilation groove may be formed on the upper surface 2b of the pedestal 2a. In that case, it is effective that the ventilation groove is configured by a large number of grooves running in the vertical and horizontal directions by combining a groove formed in the front-rear direction of the pedestal 2a and a groove formed in a direction intersecting with the groove.

Although not shown, the upper surface of the wart-like protrusion 18 or the ventilation groove (not shown) is curved or corrugated in accordance with the shape of the sole such as the arch of a foot as a health device for the foot. Then, it can be used also as a health device that stimulates the acupoints on the soles of the feet, which is preferable. In addition to the above-described components, the deodorizing and sterilizing footrest base 1 includes a footrest base body 2
When an appropriate electric heater (not shown) is attached to the bottom of the pedestal 2a, for example, inside or on the back surface, it can be used as a foot warmer in addition to deodorant sterilization, and can be used for more versatile purposes.

Next, the operation of the deodorizing and sterilizing footrest 1 having the above structure will be described. First, since the power on / off switch SW is turned on in advance as described above, the proximity switch LS (20) is turned off correspondingly before the foot F is inserted, and the relay connected to this switch is turned on. When X is de-excited, the relay contact X1 is turned off, the power control circuits of the ultraviolet lamp UV (12) and the operation indicator lamp RL (21) are cut off to turn them off, and the timer T is also turned off. Have been initialized (that is, the timer contact T1 is OFF). At this time, when the foot F is inserted from the opening 7 into the space 10 of the deodorization sterilization footrest 1 and placed on the upper surface 2b of the pedestal, the proximity switch L is correspondingly correspondingly placed.
When S (20) is turned on and the relay X connected thereto is excited to turn on its relay contact X1, the timer T is energized and at the same time the timer contact T1 is turned on. Operation indicator RL (2

In the above, while the ultraviolet lamp 12 is in the lighting operation, oxygen molecules contained in the air around the ultraviolet lamp 12 receive ultraviolet energy and are converted into ozone molecules through a known reaction. Since the ozone molecules generated in this way have a higher specific gravity than air, they pass through the vent holes 9 of the partition section 6a, flow into the front space 10 inside the footrest base below and gradually settle, and then inside the space 10 and the warts 18. Ozone gas spreads and fills the inside of the peripheral edge portion 3 surrounding the periphery of the pedestal 2a, that is, the entire upper surface 2b of the pedestal, through the gap or the ventilation groove (not shown). As a result, the ozone concentration in the space 10 and the upper surface 2b of the pedestal 2a gradually rises when the ultraviolet lamp is turned on, and the concentration is sufficient for deodorization and sterilization within about 10 minutes (about 0.4 to 0.
(5 ppm), the odorous components adhering to the inserted foot and the bacteria and athlete's foot affected parts are acted on to decompose and deodorize and sterilize them.

In order to confirm the deodorizing effect of the ozone generator used in the deodorizing sterilization footrest according to the present invention, a sensitivity test was conducted using an experimental apparatus. The experimental device has a structure in which an ozone generator consisting of a UV lamp with an output of 4 W is mounted on a cubic storage box with a side of about 40 cm, and the ozone generated by turning on the UV lamp flows into the storage box. It is a device. The experiment uses one of the socks worn by 10 people for the test piece, confirms the odor and moisture condition to each person in advance, stores it in the experimental device, lights the ultraviolet lamp for 10 minutes, After the ultraviolet lamp was turned off, the sample was left for 10 minutes and then taken out, and each person was asked to compare the test results with the non-test products, and the results were recorded. Table 1 shows the results of the sensitivity test.

As is obvious from Table 1, the deodorizing effect is remarkably shown, and it is replied that all 10 test pieces had no odor. At this time, the ozone concentration in the storage after turning on the ultraviolet lamp for 10 minutes was estimated to be about 0.496 ppm or more from the time-concentration measurement data separately measured (see Table 3), and a sufficient bactericidal effect was also obtained. On the other hand, it is expected that ozone of this concentration will be decomposed to 0.1 ppm or less, which is the safety standard value set by Japan, in about 20 minutes, according to another data (not shown). Therefore, there is no problem in practical use without considering the size and ventilation of a room in which the deodorizing and sterilizing footrest of the present invention is used.

Next, in order to confirm the relationship between the sterilizing effect of ozone and the ozone concentration, an experiment was conducted using another experimental apparatus. The experimental device for the sterilization effect confirmation experiment has a width of 90
A device with a structure in which an ozone generator consisting of an ultraviolet lamp with an output of 4 W is mounted on a storage box with a door of 0 mm, depth 515 mm, and height 1790 mm, and ozone generated by turning on the ultraviolet lamp flows into the storage box. The storage box is closed except for the ozone inlet.
The sterilization effect experiment was carried out by storing a petri dish containing a 5 cm square cloth to which about 20,000 Staphylococcus aureus was adhered, with the lid opened at the bottom of the experimental apparatus, and the time conditions shown in Table 2. Turns on the ultraviolet lamp (that is, activates the ozone generator)
Immediately after that, the lid of the petri dish was closed, and then the petri dish was transferred into a safety cabinet, 20 ml of SCD agar medium was poured thereinto, and this was cultured at 37 ° C. for 24 hours, and the number of bacteria was examined. Regarding the relationship between the time lapse of the experimental device and the ozone concentration, the same device as in the experiment of sterilization effect was used, the door was opened and the inside was sufficiently ventilated with natural air,
After closing the rear door and turning on the ultraviolet lamp for a predetermined time, the air inside was sampled to measure the ozone concentration. Table 2 shows the experimental results of the bactericidal effect, and Table 3 shows the experimental results of time-ozone concentration.

As is obvious from Table 2, the ozone generator operates for about 10 minutes and the number of Staphylococcus aureus colonies is 1/1.
When the ozone generator is operated for 15 minutes and left in the environment for 15 minutes, the number of colonies becomes zero, which is a dramatic effect. On the other hand, according to Table 3, when the ozone generator operating time is 10 minutes and 15 minutes, the ozone concentration is 0.496 ppm and 0.
It shows that it reaches 736 ppm, and that a sufficient bactericidal effect can be expected even at such a concentration. Also,
The residual ozone after stopping the operation of the ozone generator decomposes and disappears in a relatively short time in the experiment conducted together with the above experiment, and the ozone concentration of 0.4 to 0.5 ppm is 0.1 ppm of the safety standard of Japan. It was also confirmed that the remaining ozone concentration was about 20 minutes (data not shown) until it became below, and the residual ozone concentration was about 1/10 in about 30 minutes, and about 1/100 in about 60 minutes. The effect of residual ozone is negligible.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION The deodorizing and sterilizing footrest according to the present invention enables the ozone concentration in the footrest to be adjusted to a concentration sufficiently effective for deodorizing and sterilization by simply turning on the ultraviolet lamp for about 10 minutes. Moreover, since ozone has the property of being able to sufficiently sterilize and deodorize even in a short time, it is possible to deodorize and sterilize at a low power cost.

Further, the output can be changed only by exchanging the ultraviolet lamp within a range not exceeding the allowable output on the design of the control board, and when combined with the adjustment of the timer, the common control parts can be used for the purpose. It is possible to manufacture products with different outputs and different operating times at a low price.

In the deodorizing and sterilizing footrest according to the present invention, the ozone generator is covered with the front cover portion and the rear opening of the cover portion is partitioned with the flexible flap member so that ozone does not freely leak to the outside. . Then, the control means of the ozone generator automatically stops the ozone generator (that is, turns off the ultraviolet lamp) at the same time when the foot is pulled out, starts the ozone generator at the same time when the foot is inserted, and starts the ozone generator for a predetermined time (about 10 minutes). Since it is configured to automatically stop after a lapse of time, the generation of excess ozone in excess of the necessary amount is prevented, and the ozone concentration is low, so it spontaneously decomposes and disappears in a short time and falls to a safe concentration. From the above, the deodorant sterilization footrest according to the present invention is highly safe and can be safely used even by a person without special knowledge.
