し、加熱体用電源12の出力をドライバ11で加熱体2
又は3に供給する制御を行なうことにより、加熱ローラ
1の表面温度を規定範囲内に設定する電子写真式印刷装

応する加熱体を増やす事となり、高価な装置になる可能

類の用紙の通過幅を対応させ、出来るだけ少ない数の加
熱体で構成していたが、加熱体の加熱範囲に対し加熱ロ
ーラの用紙の通過幅が狭く、その差が大きい場合、加熱
ローラの用紙の通過しない部分の異常温度上昇により加
熱ローラ表面の熱破損を招く可能性があった。 【0005】また、前記課題を対策する為に、加熱体の
加熱範囲を狭くすると加熱ローラの用紙の通過する部分
の一部の表面温度が異常低下となりトナーの用紙への定
着不良を招く可能性があった。 【0006】本発明は、前記問題点を解決する為になさ
れたものであり、その目的は、常時、加熱ローラの表面
温度を規定値範囲内に保つことが出来、最小限数の温度
検知器と加熱体で対応出来る事を特徴とする電子写真式
印刷装置の定着装置を提供する事にある。 【0007】 【課題を解決するための手段】上記の目的を達成する為
にこの発明では、加熱ローラの表面温度を検知するよう
に2個の温度検知器を配置し、加熱ローラに内臓された
2本の加熱体を、各々に対応する温度検知器の検知情報
を基に独立して制御し、加熱ローラの表面温度を規定範
囲内にするように構成した。 【0008】また、上記構成では、加熱ローラを通過す
る用紙の通過幅により、用紙が加熱ローラの表面から奪
う熱の、量と範囲が異なる事から加熱ローラの表面の温
度分布も異なる為に、同じ制御値で加熱体を温度制御す
ると加熱ローラの表面温度は変動範囲が広くなり、温度
検知器の検知範囲外に有る加熱ローラの表面温度が規定

知器により得られた加熱ローラを通過する用紙の検知情
報から、各々の加熱体を各々の用紙の通過幅に対応する
制御値で温度制御を行うことにより、加熱ローラの表面
