2. Description of the Related Art An exothermic composition containing iron powder, activated carbon, salts, a water absorbent resin, a water retention agent and water does not require ignition and simply produces heat by contact with air. Disposable body warmers enclosed in flexible storage bags have become widespread. Then, as a method of imparting air permeability to the storage bag, a method of forming a needle hole in a storage bag material in which a sealant such as polyethylene is laminated on a non-woven fabric or using a porous film as a material of the storage bag is adopted. There is.
The former method has a relatively large amount of ventilation and stable ventilation, but when the above exothermic composition is enclosed and used in this method, the contents shift to one side during use of the disposable body warmer, There was often a sense of discomfort in wearing the product. On the other hand, the latter method has the property that when the oxygen in the bag is consumed due to the exothermic reaction, the pressure inside the bag is reduced and the contents do not shift during use of the disposable body warmer. In addition to being high, there is a problem that it is extremely difficult to control the air permeability by means of the fine holes.

Therefore, as a measure for using a non-woven fabric sealant material provided with ventilation holes and preventing the contents from being biased during use, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 7-112477 discloses a metal powder such as iron powder. , A reaction aid such as a metal halide or a metal sulfate, water, and a water retention agent such as activated carbon, vermiculite, hirucite, silica gel, wood powder, and a water-absorbing polymer as main components, and generate heat in the presence of air. In addition to the above, an exothermic composition comprising a thickening agent is disclosed. However, this publication only lists a wide range of thickeners and does not mention any relation with other raw materials that affect the action of the thickeners, such as hydrogen generation inhibitors and water-absorbent resins. It has not been possible to provide a disposable body warmer having excellent temperature performance, manufacturability, and an effect of preventing the contents from being biased during use.

The present invention, even when applied to a non-woven fabric sealant type material without using a porous film, causes not only temperature performance and manufacturability but also deviation of the contents during use. The object of the present invention is to provide a disposable body warmer in which an exothermic composition is enclosed, and an efficient manufacturing method thereof.

Means for Solving the Problems and Embodiments of the Invention In order to solve the above problems, the present inventors have conducted extensive studies and as a result, in the exothermic composition, α-starch as an excipient and hydrogen. The present invention has been completed by studying various combinations with generation inhibitors and water-absorbent resins, and finding out the intended disposable body warmer and its manufacturing method.

The iron powder constituting the exothermic composition is a main component involved in the oxidative exothermic reaction, and includes reduced iron, cast iron and the like, and powdery ones are generally used, but granular and fibrous ones are used. You may mix. Further, activated carbon and salts are necessary as an oxidation reaction accelerator for iron powder, and examples of the salts include sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride and the like.

The water-absorbent resin has a high water-retaining ability and can keep the whole in a free-flowing state. For example, polyacrylate cross-linked product, polyvinyl alcohol-acrylate copolymer, starch-acrylate graft copolymer. Examples thereof include a polymer, an acrylic acid salt-acrylic acid ester copolymer, an acrylic acid salt-acrylamide copolymer, an isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer, and a hydrolyzate of a crosslinked polyacrylonitrile. Among these, a polyacrylate crosslinked product is particularly preferable from the viewpoint of a combination with an α-starch as an excipient to be described later, and it is suitable to be blended in an amount of about 1.0 to 5% by weight based on the total amount. . Examples of the water retention agent include base materials such as wood powder, perlite and vermiculite, which are usually used together with a water absorbent resin.

In the exothermic composition used in the present invention, in addition to the above-mentioned components, a hydrogen generation inhibitor is contained in an amount of 0.5 to 5 with respect to the total amount.
It is blended by weight%. The hydrogen generation inhibitor has a liquid pH of 1
In addition to keeping the alkalinity of 1 or more to suppress the generation of hydrogen,
It has the effect of stably sustaining the shaping effect of α-starch. At least one selected from alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts is used, and representative examples thereof include sodium metasilicate, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, sodium phosphate and the like. Above all, sodium metasilicate has a remarkable combination effect with α-starch, and since it has a large amount of water of crystallization, it is useful for stabilizing and maintaining temperature performance, and is particularly preferable.

The present invention further comprises, as a component constituting the exothermic composition, an excipient α-starch in an amount of 3 to 1 based on the total amount.
It is characterized in that it is compounded at 5% by weight. The excipient α-starch suppresses the movement of the contents in the storage bag during the use of the disposable body warmer and prevents the occurrence of offset, which makes the disposable body warmer thin and flexible. This has the effect of enhancing the wearability of clothes. This effect can also be obtained by using a storage bag made of a porous film material, but this porous film has the drawbacks of high cost and difficulty in controlling the air permeability and stable temperature performance. Therefore, the practical advantage of the present invention applicable to a storage bag made of a nonwoven fabric sealant type material is extremely large. If the blending amount of α-starch is less than 3% by weight, the anti-deviation effect cannot be obtained, while if it exceeds 15% by weight, the temperature performance is affected, which is not preferable. In applications other than the purpose of the present invention, other excipients such as sodium alginate, sodium caseinate, polyvinyl alcohol, etc. are well known, but as a result of the test, these have an effect of preventing uneven bias compared to α-starch. It was found to be low.

The storage bag for enclosing the heat-generating composition used in the present invention is preferably a non-woven fabric or a paper material in which a film such as polyethylene or polypropylene as a sealant is laminated on a bag material and needle holes are opened to provide air permeability. ing.
This type is cheaper than the porous film and has relatively uniform air permeability, so that a disposable body warmer with stable temperature performance can be obtained. Further, in the case of the conventional exothermic composition, it is necessary to make the needle hole small so that the content does not leak out, but in this exothermic composition, the content leaks due to the effect of α-starch as an excipient. There is no fear, and the size of the needle hole can be set relatively arbitrarily.

As a result of the test, an exothermic composition containing 0.5 to 5% by weight of a hydrogen generation inhibitor and 3 to 15% by weight of α-starch as an excipient was enclosed. The disposable body warmer of the present invention has excellent manufacturability, temperature performance, and usability. In contrast, α-starch is 3%
In the following (Comparative Example 1), the usability was not improved, while when α-starch exceeded 15% (Comparative Example 2), a decrease in manufacturability and temperature performance was observed. In addition, there is a mutual relationship between the hydrogen generation inhibitor and the amount of α-starch compounded. For example, as in Comparative Example 3 and Comparative Example 4, when the hydrogen generation inhibitor is used in combination outside the specific range, the performance fails. It was Furthermore, the use of excipients other than α-starch (Comparative Examples 5 and 6) did not give favorable results.
