Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the series gap length of a lightning arrester measurable accurately, easily and safely mounted on an insulator device. SOLUTION: This gage has a measuring part and a gripping part, for measuring the series gap length of the lightning arrester mounted on the insulator device. It is characterized in that the measuring part has, on one end side, a step-shaped locking part for latching thereon the tip part of one arcing horn of the lightning arrester, and, on the other end side, a step part for interfitting therein the tip part of the other arcing horn of the lightning arrester, formed to have the length determined from the upper and lower limits of a tolerance of the prescribed series gap length. The gripping part having the tip fixed on the measuring part is characterized by having enough length for an operator to bring the measuring part into contact with the series gap from an arm of a transmission line steel tower without stepping on the insulator device.

[0004] The lightning arrester B is mounted in parallel with the insulator ream 10 on mounting fittings 11 and 12 provided on both sides of the insulator ream 10 respectively. In other words, this lightning arrester b has a low debt type lightning arrester main body 13 attached to one of the mounting brackets 11, and the lightning arrester main body 1
A series gap length L0 is formed between the arc horn 14 provided at the tip of the third and the arc horn 15 provided on the other mounting bracket 12.

The serial gap length L0 is determined so as to be within a predetermined range based on a predetermined length. For example, when the predetermined length (L0) is 320 mm, the predetermined range is determined to be +0 mm to -10 mm. When the series gap length L0 is within the above range, if a lightning strike occurs on the transmission line, the high voltage current due to the lightning returns to the voltage of the transmission line by passing through the main body 13 of the lightning arrester, and the current may be interrupted. it can. Thereby, the operation of the circuit breaker at the substation is prevented, the occurrence of a temporary power failure is suppressed, and the influence on the OA equipment and the like can be reduced.

The length L10 for measuring the series gap length L0 is determined, and the second measuring unit b2 is used to mount the arc horn 14 of the main body 13 of the lightning arrester and the insulator string 10 on the side where the main body 13 is provided. The length L20 'for measuring the distance L20 from the side (the distance determined by the insulation distance L20 between the arc guides 13a and 13b of the lightning arrester B) is determined. The insulation distance L20 is determined to be a predetermined distance or more in order to secure the function of the lightning arrester B.

However, since the conventional gauge described above is inserted between both arc horns,
The end of the gauge (second measuring unit) is difficult to align with the tip of the arc horn, and there is a disadvantage that the measurement is difficult. In addition, since the worker is placed on the insulator device during the measurement, the deflection of the insulator string changes, which changes the distance between the two arc horns, which is different from the actual series gap length.

Since the locking portion 1 can be hooked on the tip of one of the arc horns 15 and the step portion 2 can be fitted to the other arc horn 14 for measurement, the length of the series gap length L0 can be easily measured. The gauge according to the present invention has, at one end, a step-like engaging portion for hanging the tip of one arc horn of the lightning arrester, and at the other end, the other arc horn of the lightning arrester. A measuring section having a stepped portion formed with the upper and lower limits of the allowable range of a predetermined series gap length to which the tip section is fitted, and the tip section is fixed to the measuring section, so that an operator can mount on the insulator device. And the gripping portion has a sufficient length to allow the measuring portion to be applied to the serial gap from the arm of the tower, so that the serial gap length can be accurately and easily measured. In addition, when the entire length of the measuring unit is formed to the length for measuring the insulation distance of the lightning arrester, the insulation distance of the lightning arrester can be easily measured.
