Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface member enhancing workability by making it possible to carry out more efficiently the work of positioning the member on a mounting base metal, such as a frame. SOLUTION: A corner member 20, which is formed as the surface member positioned at a corner 17 of a column 12A serving as the mounting base metal, has an inner member 21 and an outer member 22 fitted on the outside of the inner member 21. One end of the inner member 21 is joined to one end of the outer member 22 and a locking part 21B is provided at the other end of the inner member 21 made from a hard material. A locking member 23 made from a hard material is mounted at the other end of the outer member 22 made from a soft material. The locking member 23 is locked to the locking part 21B after the inner member 21 has been attached to the column 12A with screws 29 or the like.

Among these prior arts, in the former surface member, the surface member is formed only of the cushion member, and since the cushion member is flexible, a large external force such as an impact force is applied. When this acts, the external force acts on the frame, and the frame may not be sufficiently protected.

On the other hand, since the latter surface member is composed of two members, a substrate member and a cushion member, such a fear is smaller than that of the former member, but these substrate members and the cushion member are not attached to the frame body. Therefore, in order to dispose it on the surface of the frame body, it is necessary to first attach the board member to the frame body, and then connect the cushion member to the board member in two operations. Must be done and is troublesome.
