In this known electric wire and connector, a plurality of composite electric wires 60 are connected to a connector 50 as shown in FIGS. Each composite electric wire 60
As is often seen in FIG. 5, it has a plurality of electric wires 61 and a drain wire 62. The electric wire 61 has a dielectric 61B around a core wire 61A, and the drain wire 62 is a single body. A plurality of such electric wires 61 and drain wires 62 are arranged in one direction and covered with an outer cover 63 to form one composite electric wire 60.

As a result, the impedance in the vicinity of the connecting portion is disturbed. In addition, since the cross-sectional area of the core wire is not so large in this known electric wire, a large loss occurs in the transmission signal.

The loss can be reduced by increasing the cross-sectional area of the core wire, but there is a limit on the diameter of the core wire from the viewpoint of high-density mounting. It is also conceivable to make the cross section of the core wire elliptical or elliptical, but this is difficult in manufacturing and is not practical.

According to the present invention, by selecting one of a plurality of core wires for each wire, the wires have signal transmission paths substantially parallel to each other, and the impedance is not disturbed. The plurality of core wires are in contact with each other and are electrically one core wire, and the cross-sectional area for signal transmission is extremely large, and signal loss is reduced.

The distance between any one of the plurality of core wires of the electric wire and any one of the plurality of core wires of the other electric wires adjacent to the electric wire may be such that an interval between the adjacent wires of the connector is smaller. It is desirable that the distance between the parts is substantially the same. By doing so, when connecting to the connector, the one core wire is selected, and the signal transmission paths between the electric wires are reliably parallelized. In that case, if it is assumed that the interval between the corresponding core wires of two adjacent electric wires is substantially the same as the interval between the adjacent connection portions of the connector, it is sufficient to select the core wire at the corresponding position, Will be easier.

In use, the outer surface 29 of the composite electric wire 20 is removed together with the conductive tape 27 by a predetermined length on the end side, so that the electric wire 21 and the drain wire 22 are exposed. Next, the dielectric 25 is removed together with the conductive tape 24 at the distal end of the electric wire 21 so that the core wire 23 is exposed. Each electric wire 21
Have three core wires 23, of which core wires 2 at positions corresponding to connection portions 13 of connector 10 are provided.
The other core wire 23 is cut at the position of the end face of the dielectric 25 while keeping the 3 protruding from the dielectric 25. Regarding the drain wires 22, of the three core wires 26 of each drain wire 22, the core wires 26 other than the core wire 26 at the position corresponding to the connection portion 13 of the connector 10 are appropriately cut.

Thereafter, the electric wire 21 and the drain wire 22
Each core wire at a position corresponding to the connection portion 13 is connected to the corresponding connection portion 13. The connection is made by solder or the like. Thus, all the core wires 23 and 26 connected to the connection portion 13 maintain the same length while being parallel.

After the connection of the electric wire 21 and the drain wire 22, the composite electric wire 20 is fixed to the base housing 11 with the fitting 15 or the like. This fixing is performed by the electric wire 21 and the drain wire 2
2 may be performed before the above connection. Finally, a cover (not shown) is attached to the base housing 11,
Thus, a connector with an electric wire is obtained. According to such a composite electric wire, the substantial cross-sectional area of the core wire of the electric wire can be secured large while the size of the connector in the thickness direction (vertical direction in FIG. 2) is kept small, and signal loss is extremely reduced. If the core wires connected to the connection portion of the connector are specified to those at the position corresponding to the connection portion, they are parallel and equal in length, and the disturbance of impedance is eliminated.

The present invention is not limited to the examples shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, but can be variously modified. For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the drain wire 22 may have one core wire 26 disposed on both sides of the two electric wires 21. In this case, depending on the positional relationship between the connector and the connection portion, the core wire 26
May not be completely parallel to the core wire 23 of the electric wire 21, but the electric wire 21 for signal transmission has three core wires 23, so there is no problem in signal transmission.

Regarding the interval between the plurality of core wires of the electric wire and the drain wire, if any one of the core wires is selected, it is preferable that the connection can be made to the connecting portion of the connector while maintaining the parallel state. In this case, if a plurality of core wires are selected at a corresponding position among the plurality of core wires, for example, a core wire located at the center is selected and these correspond to the connection portions of the connector, the convenience of the core wire selection work is improved. Is more preferable.

As described above, in the present invention, each electric wire has a plurality of cores, and these cores are arranged in contact with the arrangement direction of the plurality of electric wires in a contact state. According to the selection, corresponding to the connection portion of the connector, the wires can be connected to the connection portion while being parallel to each other, so that the impedance is not disturbed, and the cross-sectional area of the core wire is increased and the signal loss is reduced. Furthermore, the conventional work of bending and deforming the core wire corresponding to the connection part has been eliminated,
Connection work is also simplified. In addition to these, when the composite electric wire is connected to the connector, the size of the cross section in the direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction can be reduced, and the device can be reduced in size.
