Below the rear heat exchanger 9a, there is formed a dew receiving part 12 integrally formed with the main body casing 2 and projecting inward from the main body casing 2.
A rear suction port 13 that penetrates the rear surface is provided at the rear or lower side of the main body casing 2 so as to suck indoor air and drain dew water generated in the rear heat exchanger 9a to the lower side of the rear surface of the main body casing 2.

On the back side of the main casing 2, a rib 14 protruding horizontally from the rear face of the main casing 2 is provided integrally with the rear face of the main casing 2 about 8 mm below the rear suction port 13 from the rear suction port 13. This prevents dripping dew condensation from splashing back and soiling the wall where the air conditioner is installed.

A rear drain pan 15 is provided below the ribs 14 in a direction longer than the rear suction port 13 in the lateral direction, and the dew water passing through the rear suction ports 13 and the ribs 14 is collected and led to the front drain pan 11. The water is drained outdoors by a drain hose (not shown) connected to the front drain pan 11.

The lower surface of the rib 14 and the rear surface of the main casing 2 are formed at an acute angle, and a small amount of dew water is always stored on the lower surface of the rib 14 due to the surface tension of the dew water, so that the dew water dropped from the rear suction port 13 can be removed. This guides to the back drain pan 15 very smoothly. A tongue piece 16 which functions as a rear air guide of the blower fan 10 is provided on the front side substantially parallel to the dew receiving portion 12 while keeping a space with the dew receiving portion 12.

A mesh-shaped pre-filter 17 made of resin is provided between the suction ports 4 and 7 and the heat exchanger 9 to catch relatively large dust in the air. The pre-filter 17 needs to be periodically cleaned, and is detached by opening the open panel 5. Reference numeral 18 denotes a vertical wind direction plate provided in the outlet 6, which is rotated in the vertical direction by rotation of a louver motor (not shown) provided on the side of the outlet 6, to adjust the blowing direction. Reference numeral 19 denotes a left-right wind direction plate for manually changing the left-right wind direction.

The drainage path of the condensed water generated in the rear heat exchanger 9a will be described. The condensed water travels through the aluminum fins of the rear heat exchanger 9a and passes from the bottom of the heat exchanger 9a to the condensate of the main body casing 2. The water flows into the receiving part 12 and then drops from the rear suction port 13 provided at the lower part of the dew receiving part 12 to the rib 14 provided just below about 8 mm, flows vertically from the rib 14 and gathers in the lower drain pan 15 below. This time, the water flows in a substantially horizontal direction and flows to the front drain pan 11, where the water is condensed with the dew water of the front heat exchanger 9b and discharged to the outside via a drain hose (not shown).

As described above, the condensed water dripping from the rear suction port 13 is received by the ribs 14 provided immediately below, and the condensed water rebounds on the main body casing 2 by shortening the falling distance of the condensed water. This prevents the wall surface from being stained. The lower surface of the rib 14 and the rear surface of the main casing 2 are formed at an acute angle, and a small amount of dew water is always stored on the lower surface of the rib 14 due to the surface tension of the dew water, so that the condensed water dripped from the rear suction port 13 can be smoothly removed. It leads to the drain pan 15.

The cold condensed water generated by the rear heat exchanger 9a is heated by the hot air sucked from the rear suction port 13 and is passed through the rear suction port 13 after passing through the rear suction port 13, the rear suction port 13 and the rib 14. Due to the rise in the temperature of the hot atmosphere at the rear side of the casing 2 and the effect of the space provided between the dew receiving part 12 and the tongue piece 16, the dew receiving part 12 and the inner surface of the main body casing 2 facing the ventilation path 8 are condensed. Is prevented.

As described above, according to the present invention, the rib 14 provided with the condensed water dripping from the rear suction port 13 is provided immediately below.
By reducing the distance of the condensed water from falling, the condensed water is prevented from bouncing off the main body casing 2 and soiling the rear wall surface of the air conditioner.
