Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner wherein a temperature sensor has room temperature detection accuracy with excellent assembling workability, and includes a sensor mounting structure capable of securely holding the temperature sensor. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 13 is provided on one side of an air filter 12 oppositely to a heat exchanger 5 near a suction grill 2. Hereby, the temperature sensor 13 is separated from the heat exchanger 5 to form a disposition more resembling a dwelling space and hence eliminate the influence of radiation heat from the heat exchanger 5.

At this time, as described above, since the temperature sensor 13 is provided inside the vicinity of the suction grille 7 and the distance from the heat exchanger 5 is increased, the air blowing state may be an ultra-low wind or the temperature controller may be used. When the control is performed to stop the cross flow fan 4 during the operation, the temperature in the living room can be accurately detected without being affected by the radiant heat of the heat exchanger 5.

Further, since the temperature sensor 13 is provided on the side of the power supply box 11, the length of the lead wire 20 of the temperature sensor 13 is short, and a long lead wire is not required. Workability is also improved. Moreover, since the insertion grooves 17 and 18 and the support piece 19 are provided in the sensor holder 14 as described above, not only can the attachment state of the temperature sensor 13 be maintained in a good condition, but also the stress is applied to the heat sensitive part 21 by mistake. However, since the support pieces 19 prevent the falling off, the temperature sensor 13 does not easily fall off, and the fixing strength can be secured.

As described above, according to the present invention, the temperature sensor is disposed on one side of the air filter opposite to the heat exchanger and close to the suction grill, so that the temperature sensor can exchange heat. Because it can be placed farther from the heat sink and closer to the living room space, even if the air blowing condition is super breeze or the control is to stop the air blowing when the temperature controller operates, it will not be affected by the radiant heat of the heat exchanger. Thus, the accuracy of detecting the temperature in the living room can be improved as compared with the conventional machine.

Further, such a temperature sensor is installed at a lower portion of a power supply box in which electric components from which lead wires are led out are provided, and has an air circulation hole facing the temperature sensor, and covers the temperature sensor and the power supply box. By using a cover, it is possible to use only a short lead wire, and it is possible to easily assemble the temperature sensor. The structure can be secured.

Further, by holding and fixing such a temperature sensor to a sensor holder attached to a power supply box having a plurality of lower opening grooves corresponding to the lead wires and a supporting portion, the holding state is improved.
