An outer tub having an open front surface, a drum disposed in the outer tub and having an open front surface, an outer rotor portion and a stator portion, and an outer rotor type motor for rotating and driving the drum. A blade-shaped rib is radially formed on the outer rotor portion, and a ventilation opening is formed in a rear surface portion of the outer rotor portion. When the outer rotor portion rotates, air is sucked by the rib, and air is sucked. A drum type washing machine wherein heat is taken from a coil of the stator portion by a flow.

2. An outer rotor section comprising: a drum rotated about a horizontal axis; an outer tank in which the drum is mounted; an outer rotor section and a stator section; and an outer rotor type motor for driving the drum to rotate. A blade-shaped rib is formed radially, and a ventilation opening is perforated in the back surface of the outer rotor portion. When the outer rotor portion rotates, air is sucked by the rib, and the stator is moved by airflow. A drum-type washing machine that removes heat from the coil of the section.
